Fantasy Football 247 FPL Team – GW2
GW1 for the FF247 team resulted in a solid, but not spectacular 66pts. The highlights were certainly in the midfield where Ramsey, Fabregas and Sigurdsson all contributed double-figure returns, while two of our strikers, Rooney and Costa both scored – Rooney as captain doubled his tally to 14pts. There were a few disappointments also – United’s shocking home loss meant just 3pts combined from De Gea and Mata, while Chambers and Caulker, who we were hoping for clean sheets from, let us down by both conceding at home to Palace and Hull, respectively. Our third striker Jovetic brought home just 2pts and is a concern, especially with Aguero making a late impact as a goal scoring substitute. Fortunately, we weren’t left frustrated with points on the bench, with O’Shea and Ward scoring just a point each and Myhill and El Ahmadi not playing.
We have decided to hold our transfer for this week and run with what we have got for GW2, giving our underperforming players another chance to deliver. This gives us another week to study form and consistency of selection and of course two free transfers to look forward to next time. Jovetic we need to monitor, while we will also keenly keep an eye on Aguero when City host Liverpool on Monday evening. Our third striker is an interesting situation and if we decide to move early into Aguero, we will need to raise funds, but that is a thought for next week. We are fortunate that we own Fabregas and Siggy, two of the most popular transfers by managers leading into GW2. Mata has been a popular seller in FPL this week, but we feel relaxed in keeping him in this week, on the assumption that LVG has spent the week laying into his side and demanding an improvement.
Calum Chambers is another to keep a close eye on as Mertesacker nears a return, but we have cover on the bench if necessary so will look forward to ride the Chambers train as long as possible.
So it’s an unchanged squad and an unchanged starting XI this week –

Captain
With Chelsea impressing at Burnley in GW1, it was a simple decision in handing Costa the armband this week as he makes his home league debut vs Leicester. A goal on his debut will have settled any nerves or doubts the striker had of adjusting to life in the Premier League and we are hoping he kicks on vs the Foxes. Should something unexpected happen Costa and he does’t play then our Vice-captain is Sigurdsson at home to Burnley as we feel both form and fixture favour him over the others such as Rooney or Mata.
After a very good start this yeat, I’ve taken a punt today.
Davies out, Mariappa in… he’s still down as 75%, but fingers crossed.
Needed to save 0.5 to upgrade Myhill.
Comforting to see Crystal Palace defender in the FF247 team tho
Word on the street is Pool have made a 20 odd million bid for Balotelli, lets wait + see.
Perfect Elle, going from one nutcase to another – TeamTalk
will be so much fun again!!
Who writes this stuff, brilliant, i’m even tempted to get a season ticket!
Can’t wait to see it! 😉
I’m thinking Kop might have a wide right midfielder in his tips this week Muts?

Just Imagine.
I see what you did there
Sorry. Please give puns a chance.
Should I play Krul (avl-a) or Mannone (mun-h)?
Krul for me Veer

Hey guys, is this team good enough for GW2?
I am concerned about Davies and Fonte.
please suggest.
Good team Zeevan. I’m concerned about Davies too, and even though he may play GW2 I’m not taking the risk that he doesn’t, so am replacing him.
Having said that, if you want to save a FT you can console yourself that if Davies doesn’t play you’ve got two playing defenders on your bench. I think I’d rather have Van Aanholt ahead of Caulker on the bench because he’s a fullback.
Thanks for the insight mate. idk what should i be doing? I guess I will hold him this week and sure i will change caulker to my 2nd sub defender.
thanks again mate.
Davies price dropping tonight!
Davies won’t play until Rose mucks up!
Is Chambers to Dummett worth a FT this week to raise 0.5 in the endeavor to get a Studge to KUN GW3 transfer?
I’m trying to work out how to get Kun in, i would say yes to that Deano.
NUFC better chance than AFC to get a CS Muts?
I would say so, Villa are still very weak IMO, one win against Stoke does not change my opinion of them.
Heres an easy one to start :- David Seaman played for five clubs during his 22 year career. Name them, and no googling.
I think my ex wife was into Seaman but I can’t remember which Club he played for at the time?
Most women are into seamen, boom, boom. :big-lol:
And we’re here all night LFC!
