Fantasy Football 247 League Round Ups January
Welcome everyone to the January round up of the FF247 leagues. This article will be brought to you by a writer that was born after the invention of dirt, ME, Elle’s Apprentice. With our customary writer (Ellefcee) tending to some personal business, it will be my duty to take his place. Hopefully I do a good enough job so FF247 can send Elle to cover the L.A. Galaxy and bask in the sun with Stevie G. I am sure the better weather in the city of Angels will help his old bones out. So Elle just relax, turn down that hearing aid and take them Coca-Cola bottle glasses off, I got this. Well, enough of complimenting my boss, let’s get to the round up.
FF247 Overall League. 
The number one spot in the overall league at the end of January goes to David Ross and his team ‘Rossaldinho’. Congratulations David! Last month he was tied for 1st and now he has claimed the top all by his lonesome. On top of that he was also ranked 20th in the world when January ended. Only 6 points behind is Sakari Uutela who more impressively was placed 34th in the world also. LF Steve is securing the bronze medal for now grabbing 3rd. Andy’s ‘Pretty in Pink’ squad grabs the 4th slot with ‘Crooky’s Gunners’ grabbing 5th only 1 point behind. In 6th we see Kyle Shaughnessy leading ‘Dzeko and the Bonymen’ into 6th place. ‘Boyz II Mendonca’ tied on points with Kyle is slotted in 7th because of having made more transfers. To round off our top 10th we see ‘JJ’s Allstars’, ‘Suarez ate my team’ and ‘Fun team’. Congratulations to all of you for making the top 10 and we hope that you continue your fantastic season.
FF247 Manager Of The Month.
1st place for the month goes to team ‘Valar Morgulis’ which is incredibly much easier to pronounce than the manager’s name of Gourang Amrujkar. So congratulations for an incredible month, but most of all for learning how to spell/pronounce your name. 😉 A close 2nd place was the landing spot for Cody Fiore and his team ‘Rutgers University’. In 3rd we see Jonathan Crosby who is closely followed by the rest of our top 10. Only 9 points separates third from 10th. Great going to all in this top 10, as we all know one great month will boost the overall rankings by a considerable amount.
FF247 Doubles League.
Top of the Doubles League come the end of the month were NZ Alex + Peaky Dave once again with their team ‘North South Divide’, with a very nice score of 1359. 2nd spot goes to Inittowinit + Elleffcee with their team ‘Aditupem’ on 1334pts. The defending champs Aditupem are finding it hard to cheat this year and will face a tough battle to catch our leaders. Silvers + PvR with team ‘The Two Uniteds’ sit in 3rd place. 4th place is taken up by Potty + Morbid with their squad ‘Potty Morbid’, a bit of a surprise here as the dynamic duo dropped a place in the standings. If any of you follow these two on twitter they would have you think that they actually understood FPL. Finally in 5th spot we see Monty Norfulk and their team ‘Le$bian Lion$’ who managed to move up a G spot and jump into the top 5.
Ok, let’s work our way back into some footy. The boys are working on the upcoming articles in the background and we should look normal again over the coming days.

Need some help with my team if you don’t mind, This is currently my team;
I would like to get in Sturridge and sort out either Cameron or wisdom
Hey Mitro that will depend on Aguero then. If he is passed fit I would keep him for the home game especially with Yaya returning. If not jsut bring in Sturidge (he has tough fixtures though?)But then so is Bony, would that make his game time under threat..time will tell. Wisdom looks to be a gonner for my team as well if he doesn’t play next game. Perhaps Naughton in his place?
Kung – is naughton a nailed on starter?
Think Kun will be fine, unless he gets injured midweek.
I’d be looking to sort Cameron and wisdom as a priority mitro.Will you be able to field 11 playing players in gw 27 ?
Brook – any suggestions for wisdom/Cameron. I have 0.9 ITB
Well you could downgrade one of them to Bruce,should leave you enough cash to do the other to Bertrand for when he returns Gw 27 ?

What are the latest rules ?? Is there still a monthly prize for finishing top and do the bottom teams still get kicked out ??
Yes!! GP won the first prize and Chopper grabbed the second one a couple of weeks back. After GW30 ten more will be eliminated and top spot will grab the next prize. You are doing really well and are locked in a battle with Charlie Brown.
If you take it, is believe it I £25 for the prize. I will have to check my original email that contained the prizes on it. Here is a run down of the rules for a quick reminder.

Yes that is it. Well 18 as I don’t count for prizes or elimination. Btw, I just checked my email and the prize is 35 not 25 for this round. And the final prize is 50. Should have took a screenshot after GW20 and posted it. But yeah Chopper held on by a bit. After GW30 I will post something on here that way it will stay in the memory bank.

Draft league concern. I have to replace Carroll up front (I also have Rooney and Pelle) and was considering bringing in N’Doye. He looks lively and Hull’s fixtures are friendly.
Is this a good move? There’s not much else available.
@bobfest, without looking at your league waivers is hard to say, but N’Doye was picked up in our draft league a couple of days ago by a well known sneaky individual. ( Gallant Pioneer )
So I say, go for it if you see nothing else worth going for. Worst case scenario you just drop him and pick up someone else if it doesn’t work out. I picked up Kane in similar conditions.
Thanks. He seems to be the best available, unless you think Dzeko, Crouch, Wilson, Gomis, Kramaric or Wickham might be better choices.
They all have their problems as picks, is literally a crap shoot. I like the look of Kramaric but they play 3 of their next 4 away vs decent to really good teams and they have a blank. If they get a double in 28 though, I would certainly scoop him up as a one week gamble. I would also grab any Spurs starting defender if possible in GW28 as long as you don’t have to drop anyone important. I assume that our draft leagues count doubles.
I was going N’Daye this week, then looking for Dembele and Rose for the DGW.

This means Chelsea's DGW will be moved up right and will not be in GW28?
No. It just means they may have a DGW in 28, but it most certainly won’t be moved up. Champions League and the Capital one cup final make it where the earliest they could play is GW28, but they could schedule it later down the line also.
Oi, people told me if Aston Villa wins Chelsea wil def. not get a DGW in GW28, which is to my advantage. Already gonna double up on Spurs, if I have to bring in 2 more Chelski that would mean a lot of hits.

Raz as I understand it, the Villa win gave the possibility of a double for CFC. As it was Leicester that needed to be freed up to play Chelsea.

Hey Raz, how’s the weekend going my friend? I only saw the 2nd half, but Villa with Vlaar back looked much better. I’ve got Hutton and I think I might hang onto him. Guy had like 5 good crosses in the 2nd half and gets forward a lot.

Thanks Veer, looking forward to seeing who Liverpool get next. Weekend has been good Raz, it’s super cold here and snowing like crazy though, but that’s pretty typical for us in the winter. Right now it’s -3 below zero (fahrenheit!), lol. Amazing skiing this year though!
