Fantasy Football 247 League Updates September
Hello everyone and welcome to the September round up of the FF247 leagues. So how did everyone do this month? Injuries were more common than a scouser in a car park and managers were dreading to be the first one to get the bullet, so lets see who managed to steer their teams through the mine field that is fantasy football and top our compliment of leagues. Any successful managers will be added to our Hall of Fame which is coming soon.
FF247 League
Top spot in this league has stayed with Tom Farmer, who was also top in August with his team ‘Blame It On Debuchy’. Tom had amassed 394 points up to the end of September and was sitting pretty in 6th overall in the world, keep up the good work Tom. (The pic above includes this weeks scores that include week 1 from October). 2nd spot goes to Gerrie Pistorius, with his team ‘Pick_And_Hope’ on 387pts, and that points haul took him to 27th in the world. A further 6pts back in 3rd with 381 is team ‘Societa Esportive77’ and owner Boblewo-Garutti Brasil, who has also stuck around in the top 5 for 2 months. 4th place goes to Jaye Williams with his team ‘FC Yayunomi’ on 379 pts. In 5th, a further 5pts back with 374,was Hammad Mudassar and his team ‘Fantastic 11’.
FF247 Manager Of The Month
Top spot for September goes to A Khan with his team ‘Disneyland’, he managed to achieve 190pts from only 3 gameweeks, this score had also propelled him to 44th in the FF247 league. Ivan Bosnjak with his team ‘Leafs FC’ pushed for top spot all the way but finished just 1pt behind to take 2nd place with 189pts. Konrad Wojtowicz and Richard Prowse came in with 187pts to tie for 3rd spec with their respective teams ‘Gooners FC’ and ‘Tinkerman United’. 5th place went to Richard Jagers team ‘Wolf Pack’ with 185pts.
FF247 Doubles League
The overall positions in this league are changing every gameweek and top spot at the end of September goes to Timmy + Cartman, alias our Colombian friend Mito + his sidekick Suarez, with their team ‘We Will Bite You’ and a respectable haul of 339pts, NZ Alex + Peaky Dave fought tooth and nail to reach 1st place but just failed finishing 2nd by 1pt on a total of 338. 3rd spot went to an unknown entity, Mr + Mrs Facepalm, with their team ‘No Hope Bob Hope’ who since the start of the season have been slowly picking up momentum to achieve 335pts. Last seasons champions Aditupem have dropped from 1st to 4th place with 330pts. In 5th spec are the up + coming FF247 article writers Calvin + Chins, they appear to have dropped off the pace a bit on 319pts with their team ‘Belly + Clyne’ but will probably blame it on their time writing superb articles rather than amassing points.
Well folks that’s it for September, so congratulations to everyone mentioned. Don’t forget there are only 3 gameweeks in October as we have another international break. Good luck to all for the next month, especially young Tom Farmer, keep the flag flying for FF247 with that high overall ranking.
hi all, please can you advise
Current team:
de gea, myhill
dier, moreno, moore, wisdom, clyne
fab,adm,sig, sterl, el ahmadi
costa,aguero, ulloa
IF i wildcard which im not sure if i should:
guzan, given
ivan, baines, clyne, wisdom, moore
fab, sig, sterl, adm, boyd
costa, welback, pelle
Hello cole1124
I’m not an expert but your current team is good so I wouldn’t wildcard if I were you. Maybe you could shift a couple of defenders with free transfers ? Certainly not wildcard
like i said guys, i can’t affored Baines and don’t want to get rid of Ivanovic. Other players will be good. Thanks guys
You know that you can just click the “reply” button on our comment?

Apart from Baines you probably have as good as it gets.
So I’m jumping on the Baines bandwagon, how does this team look?
I’ve looking at Clyne/Mannone for Baines/Forster.
Absolutely fantastic!
nice team Simms, but are you concerned at having no City exposure?
Thanks, a little yes. I fancy Kolarov but as you can see I’m all out of funds. An option I was looking at was sterling>Henderson and using the extra cash to play 4 at the back..
Simms, you should talk to GP about Kolarov, he is considering bringing him in also. Personally, I don’t like his rotation with Clichy.
Thanks, yeah it might be helpful if Clichy were to have an accident..

This can be done …….
Wilson, Moreno and Sterling out.
Baines, Kolarov and Chadli in.
For only a -4.
Off to think about that now.
If Kolarov doesn’t play I drop back on to either Duff or Moore who between them have a reasonable fixture until January.
Usual back three would be Chambers, Kolarov and Baines.
ADM, Fabregas, Chadli and Siggy. Costa, Aguero and Welbeck.
Only snag as I see it is if Kolarov plays 5/10 mins. Chance I would have to take.
Anyone?
GP, your last point is my biggest problem and the reason I ignored Lampard. That 1pt cameo 15mins will have annoyed me and will ultimately annoy you after the 2nd or 3rd occurrence!
I may be wrong mate and those times Kolarov performs may outweigh the frustration. Only you can decide that mate.
Cookie
True very true.
Although if a regular defender plays without keeping a clean sheet there is only one point of a difference. I appreciate the regular defender has more time to score points and also bonus points but its those 90 minute days for Kolarov which might make it all worth it.
Got some thinking ahead. Thanks for your opinion.
GP – a thought. For the extra 0.1mln you could have Azpi, for the same price you could have Coleman (as well as Baines!).
Cookie
Like the security in having Azpi. Coleman needs a bit of time yet.
Chadli would need to be downgraded mind you but there are decent options there. Downing and Henderson immediately jump to mind.
Simms
Be handy to try to work some City in there mate.
Simms excellent team mate!!
Simms, only thing I’d change is get rid of krul not Mann unless you’ve checked fixtures and they rotate well?
Even though I would be doubling up on Sunderland defence? I could always look at Aanholt > Wilson next game week?
Simms I like that plan too.
Whats everyone’s thoughts on Stewart Downing? I am looking to bring him and Chadli in for Dyer and Schneiderlin. One of them would be my forth mid (joining Di Maria, Fabregas and Sigurdsson) and the other would sit on the bench (along with Myhill, Clyne/Bertrand and Vlaar).
guys?
Tom, look through today’s threads and you’ll see my thoughts on Downing.
ok, cheers
Hi All
Still thinking about bringing Aguero into my team and obviously need to sort my goalkeeper situation out
Team is
Foster/Myhill
Baines / Bertrand / Duff / Moore / Hutton
Di Maria / Fabregas / Siggy / Sterling / Boyd
Falcao / Pelle / Costa
perhaps downgrade Fab (:-S) Sterling for maybe downing or Chadli?? Frees up Cash for Falcao – Aguero, Premium midfielder to Tadic, maybe and over a few weeks bring Welbeck in for Pelle and Falcao to Aguero, Or just leave Falcao 9maybe he will kick on now)
Appreciate any feedback cheers
jp, I’m a big Aguero fan so I would say, go get him. but that’s just my view. Sterling would be my choice to lose to finance him and Chadli would be a great alternative to him I believe.
Hi jp, first impressions are that seems a lot of messing just to accommodate Aguero. Sterling and Falcao to Tadic and Aguero is what I would do but depends on the money. This may be what you meant anyway though, I got a bit lost on the middle bit of the plan!
what are your guys thoughts about this team?
Hi Stewy,
My immediate reaction is you have far too much cash invested in your keepers and defence and thus your midfield and attack is suffering.
