Fantasy Football 247 League Updates September

Fantasy Football 247 leaguesHello everyone and welcome to the September round up of the FF247 leagues. So how did everyone do this month? Injuries were more common than a scouser in a car park and managers were dreading to be the first one to get the bullet, so lets see who managed to steer their teams through the mine field that is fantasy football and top our compliment of leagues. Any successful managers will be added to our Hall of Fame which is coming soon.

FF247 League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot in this league has stayed with Tom Farmer, who was also top in August with his team ‘Blame It On Debuchy’. Tom had amassed 394 points up to the end of September and was sitting pretty in 6th overall in the world, keep up the good work Tom. (The pic above includes this weeks scores that include week 1 from October). 2nd spot goes to Gerrie Pistorius, with his team ‘Pick_And_Hope’ on 387pts, and that points haul took him to 27th in the world. A further 6pts back in 3rd with 381 is team ‘Societa Esportive77’ and owner Boblewo-Garutti Brasil, who has also stuck around in the top 5 for 2 months. 4th place goes to Jaye Williams with his team ‘FC Yayunomi’ on 379 pts. In 5th, a further 5pts back with 374,was Hammad Mudassar and his team ‘Fantastic 11’.

FF247 Manager Of The Month
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot for September goes to A Khan with his team ‘Disneyland’, he managed to achieve 190pts from only 3 gameweeks, this score had also propelled him to 44th in the FF247 league. Ivan Bosnjak with his team ‘Leafs FC’ pushed for top spot all the way but finished just 1pt behind to take 2nd place with 189pts. Konrad Wojtowicz and Richard Prowse came in with 187pts to tie for 3rd spec with their respective teams ‘Gooners FC’ and ‘Tinkerman United’. 5th place went to Richard Jagers team ‘Wolf Pack’ with 185pts.

FF247 Doubles League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesThe overall positions in this league are changing every gameweek and top spot at the end of September goes to Timmy + Cartman, alias our Colombian friend Mito + his sidekick Suarez, with their team ‘We Will Bite You’ and a respectable haul of 339pts, NZ Alex + Peaky Dave fought tooth and nail to reach 1st place but just failed finishing 2nd by 1pt on a total of 338. 3rd spot went to an unknown entity, Mr + Mrs Facepalm, with their team ‘No Hope Bob Hope’ who since the start of the season have been slowly picking up momentum to achieve 335pts. Last seasons champions Aditupem have dropped from 1st to 4th place with 330pts. In 5th spec are the up + coming FF247 article writers Calvin + Chins, they appear to have dropped off the pace a bit on 319pts with their team ‘Belly + Clyne’ but will probably blame it on their time writing superb articles rather than amassing points.

Well folks that’s it for September, so congratulations to everyone mentioned. Don’t forget there are only 3 gameweeks in October as we have another international break. Good luck to all for the next month, especially young Tom Farmer, keep the flag flying for FF247 with that high overall ranking.

    Pippin says:

What do we think about losing Terry for Baines? aside from the next game, can’t see too many CS from Chelsea, and in terms of attacking play it’s no contest. My team is linked: none of the other defenders give me enough money to do it, and I don’t want to downgrade elsewhere at this point

      NIN says:

Pippin – Terry -> Baines get a big :thumbup; from me.

      • NIN says:

        Arse

        There we go!

      • Pippin says:

thanks fella- thinking of doing it soon so I stop worrying, and then benefit from his price rise. Any transfers for you this IB?

        • NIN says:

Give it as long as possible i reckon. Baines’ NTI is really low today so he may not be going up in value any time soon.
Yeah, Ulloa -> Welbeck for me but waiting until these pesky games are done with. I’ve got a 0.3m buffer so i’m in no rush at all. smile

        • Pippin says:

good thinking. I actually have a 1.3m buffer (more than I’d like left unspent if I’m honest…) but I guess this means there is some merit to waiting. Unless Terry’s price falls again…

        • NIN says:

That’s a huge buffer mate. I would most definitely wait so. An extra 0.1/0.2m extra wont be any use if injuries are picked up and hits have to be taken. Points before £’s 😉

        • Pippin says:

yep. great advice. Downing is not a season keeper either, and instinctively I feel that neither is Pelle. So the money has an end goal. That said, there’s no rush to save 0.1-0.2m.

        • Pippin says:

hehe, whisper it softly, but if young Barkley looks good on his return he’s a great option for Downing… Ditto Walcott for Fabregas (Sterling will be gloriously assisting Sturridge by this point…)

        • NIN says:

Oh yes. I’m keeping tabs on young Ross too. He’ll be great value once he’s fit. Siggy the 2nd 😉

    Colriles says:

Just thinking… I wonder what percentage of teams with a front 7 of Fab,Sterling, ADM, Siggy,Costa, Aguero & Pelle/Welly have used their WC to get it? I’m struggling to bring in ADM and wondering why my team looks so awful next to those and I’m guessing that’s it?

    Tomo says:

    Hi
I’m tinkering with using my wildcard and have the following before transfers:
    DDG/Myhill
    Wisdom/Pieters/Clyne/Dummett/Bruce
    Sterling/Fab/DiMaria/Siggy/Wanyama
    DiCosta/Aguero/Pelle 0.1m in the bank
    Wildcard team:
    Forster/Myhill
    Clyne/Wilson/Wisdom/Duff/Taylor
    Sterling/Fab/DiMaria/Siggy/Boydd
    DiCosta/Aguero/Pelle
    Nothing in the bank

Is it worth me wildcarding now and should I consider other players?

    Partisan says:

Evening chaps and chapesses, long time no post (new job and such). Been trying to keep track of everything but just can’t devote the time these days (I think the lack of reliable price change sites has meant I’ve left well alone for the most part). Hope everyone’s doing well so far! Pushed into the top 10k this week but in a bit of a quandary. On a side note, I swear some of my scores have been quite low this season – don’t know how I’ve got so high! Below is my team:

    Mannone (Krul)
    Terry Clyne duff (Chester wisdom)
    ADM sterling fabregas siggy (cork)
    Costa Aguero ulloa

    1 FT, 1.1m itb

Wary of my lack of Baines and arsenal (given their fixtures).

    I can go:
    I. Terry to Baines – feel naked without Chelsea defence and no money left for wellbeck (don’t like arsenal mids but have an eye on Ozil for fab)
II. Chester to Baines, fab to chadli, ulloa to wellbeck.

Would save the transfer this week as I’d need to do the first two together for II. and fab/duff have better fixtures gw8…

Is it crazy to ditch fabregas?

tl;dr but thanks for any help in advance!

      Titleastic says:

Ditching Fab is a concept I have flirted with. And rejected. Armed only with assists so far he is still on course for a 200 point season! Just imagine if he gets a few goals as well… Tuck him in your pocket nice and snug and don’t let him out! He is a class act in a team that in my humble opinion will smash it all season long.

Sterling much more susceptible to highs and lows and probably fewer pints at the end so he will probably intermittently appear in my team, and with a bit of luck I’ll ride the highs.

      Tomo says:

      Hi Partisan
I’d really leave Fab alone as he links up so well with Costa he is more than likely to get an assist in most games.

      Partisan says:

Thanks for the replies guys – don’t know whether they settle my urges or not though!

Just wary of three Chelsea players; I know they’ll score plenty this season but when they blank I (and everyone else I guess) will be screwed. Sterling spreads the love, especially given Liverpool’s kind run and Sturridge’s impending return.

      If I did lose Sterling instead in move II. I’d have 5.7 for a mid – Downing/Milner I guess…
But then is Fabregas ADM Siggy (Milner/Downing) good enough to start in mf?
On downgrading Terry to Azpi and Ulloa to Wellbeck, I’m 0.1m short

      SO, -Sterling:
      NOW: Terry Baines Sterling Ulloa
      NEW: Terry Baines Milner/Downing Wellbeck

That looks quite a sideways set of transfer in terms of points…so I guess Terry to Baines and hope Ulloa keeps up with Wellbeck…could then think about Sterling to Ozil/Ox/Caz then but have my reservations about that…

    Hi all.

Thinking it might be WC time. Got a bit of deadwood I need to shift…

I’m thinking Colo, Moreno, Barton. Sterling and Dzeko need to go.

    Thoughts?

    The Mighty Whites says:

Evening guys – got 0.0 in the bank with 2 FTs. Thinking of getting Sakho & Sczesney for Ulloa & Lloris?

    Lloris – Heaton

    Clyne – Moreno – Pieters – Taylor – Moore

Di Maria – Fabregas – Sterling – Sigurdsson – Jones

    Aguero – Costa – Ulloa

      hazardeden10 says:

      evening mighty smile
nice team mate, looks strong up top…
-focus this year is really on attack, so i wouldn’t have 5.5 on a goalkeeper.. (maybe look a mannone- i know he has hard fixtures but he picks up lots of pts for saves.)
-ulloa or sakho will be a personal preference..I shipped ulloa out yesterday for naismith, reasoning being he blanked against burnley and palace!!

      • The Mighty Whites says:

Hazard – Fair enough! Bit unsure on a lot of things. Primarily Moreno and Pieters

        • hazardeden10 says:

yeah, stoke looked shaky so offloading pieters wouldn’t be a bad move..im liking schlupp..played right mid and is still listed as a defender!!
moreno has 3 decent fixtures, so i would hold for now.
