Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11 article. If we said that six of our team all scored 3 points or less this week then you’d maybe expect that this would then lead onto a story of sorrow and despair. It just goes to show what having a minority of decent performers can actually produce though as we managed a fairly respectable 79 with a load of hallowed green arrows in all the right places. Cech, Walker, Pieters, Sterling, Capoue and Deeney are the players doing the walk of shame. Holebas, Firmino, Sanchez, Aguero and Lukaku can all hold their heads high, if they can shoulder the weight of our team. They carried us through to a small rise in the rankings from 57k to 39k. It’s not ground breaking but at this stage it’s acceptable. We do have a small confession to make this week though…! We voted for, and subsequently published, that we would captain Deeney last week. That was our intention, albeit a bad one, with the benefit of hindsight. Fortunately, as such… we didn’t actually captain him, we inadvertently captained Sanchez. We didn’t actually notice the faux-pas until we checked the score on Saturday evening. It was a net gain of just 11 points but that probably represented a good few thousand places in the rankings. We did the transfers but we just failed to confirm the final team. It happens to the best of us. And we’re delighted to say it happened to us this week!
Transfer #1: Capoue to Gundongan
We had a transfer saved in the bank this week and we felt it was a good opportunity to fix a couple of issues so we unleashed both.
We rarely make an early transfer but we did this one on Tuesday as he was going up in price and he was also clearly on fire! Given his form allied to City’s fixtures and his bargain price this one was a no-brainer for us. When he was signed it was expected he would be just another cheap DM with little or no FPL value, and his price reflected that, but he’s proven to be a box to box midfielder with goals in his locker. Think Yaya Toure about 3 years ago, but about 4 stone lighter, an actual work ethic and an agent who isn’t a w@nker.
Transfer #2: Deeney to Austin
This is what happens when you don’t score 3 against Hull, we just sell you. Let that be a warning to you Mr Austin! We hope it’s one he heeds as he’s ours now, or at least he is until he either fails or another ‘3rd’ forward presents themselves with either better fixtures or better form. Hull may have finally put a resistance last week but this one still makes sense all round, especially given that it’s for free.
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 11!
Our captain is (possibly ) Sergio Aguero and our vice captain is Charlie Austin
Unanimous. That probably says it all. As a bonus treat we even double checked that we saved it this week…
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

Fixture Tracker – the next 6 games
Here is my team for this week. I transferred Couthino in last Sunday for Sterling which helped a lot with team value.
Few questions that keep me wonder.
1 Is everyone on KUN for captain? I watched last week MOTD this morning and I think Couthino could be alternative. He was unstoppable and could have many more points. At home to Watford with guests missing some vital defenders (Prodl?) he might have big haul.
Again my Saturday afternoon jittery kicks in. All in all I guess I will go with popular choice but still can stop thinking.
2. next few weeks: where should I go? I have Amat and Jakupovic which are useless pretty much. I`m thinking to fund those transfers with selling Defoe and getting Andre Gray. Than I`m thinking to get someone like Pieters if his price won`t go up.
For Jaku I think I will get Valdes as it seems Boro start to find their feet in Premier and he would rotate nicely with Heaton. Having said that I would probably benched Heaton last week if I had any viable alternative so I would lose his 11 points.
Than of course there is the elephant in form of Ibra. Sometimes I just think I convinced myself I jinx him as long he is in my team which obviously is bonkers but as a Liverpool fan makes me less unhappy. I guess I will keep him as long as he is not suspended and hope for some good returns in the meanwhile.
I would be interested to hear what do you think about those plans?
And they of course are highly dependent on injuries and suspensions that will happen in the meantime. I probably will hope to avoid hits on the way.
