Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11 article. If we said that six of our team all scored 3 points or less this week then you’d maybe expect that this would then lead onto a story of sorrow and despair. It just goes to show what having a minority of decent performers can actually produce though as we managed a fairly respectable 79 with a load of hallowed green arrows in all the right places. Cech, Walker, Pieters, Sterling, Capoue and Deeney are the players doing the walk of shame. Holebas, Firmino, Sanchez, Aguero and Lukaku can all hold their heads high, if they can shoulder the weight of our team. They carried us through to a small rise in the rankings from 57k to 39k. It’s not ground breaking but at this stage it’s acceptable. We do have a small confession to make this week though…! We voted for, and subsequently published, that we would captain Deeney last week. That was our intention, albeit a bad one, with the benefit of hindsight. Fortunately, as such… we didn’t actually captain him, we inadvertently captained Sanchez. We didn’t actually notice the faux-pas until we checked the score on Saturday evening. It was a net gain of just 11 points but that probably represented a good few thousand places in the rankings. We did the transfers but we just failed to confirm the final team. It happens to the best of us. And we’re delighted to say it happened to us this week!
Transfer #1: Capoue to Gundongan
We had a transfer saved in the bank this week and we felt it was a good opportunity to fix a couple of issues so we unleashed both.
We rarely make an early transfer but we did this one on Tuesday as he was going up in price and he was also clearly on fire! Given his form allied to City’s fixtures and his bargain price this one was a no-brainer for us. When he was signed it was expected he would be just another cheap DM with little or no FPL value, and his price reflected that, but he’s proven to be a box to box midfielder with goals in his locker. Think Yaya Toure about 3 years ago, but about 4 stone lighter, an actual work ethic and an agent who isn’t a w@nker.
Transfer #2: Deeney to Austin
This is what happens when you don’t score 3 against Hull, we just sell you. Let that be a warning to you Mr Austin! We hope it’s one he heeds as he’s ours now, or at least he is until he either fails or another ‘3rd’ forward presents themselves with either better fixtures or better form. Hull may have finally put a resistance last week but this one still makes sense all round, especially given that it’s for free.
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 11!

Our captain is (possibly
) Sergio Aguero and our vice captain is Charlie Austin
Unanimous. That probably says it all. As a bonus treat we even double checked that we saved it this week…
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

Morning all and good luck to the FF247 team.
This seems to be a 10 player GW as every man and his dog is going Kun (C)! Is there anyone ballsy enough to go against the grain? (C)outinho anyone?
dawids11
i’ll be amongst JJ Abrams’ for sure
dawids11
hello guys,

the weekend is upon us slowly!
how lucky were you not finalizing your capo decision
can i have your advice on my team?
defense has tough fixtures so initially i wanted to introduce somebody who can have a CS more likely (however i cannot be sure on this)
but on the other hand i still have the issue with Rashford who is suffering on the flanks..
not overthink and offload Rash for Austin?
inittowinit
Pretty much, yeah! Nice easy decision for you this week.
Matt
Dawids just go Rash to Austin.
dawids11
Thank you guys, will do that
Smash10
Ha ha Sanchez as captain by a mistake. Thrown a few people who changed to Deeney as a result of last weeks article
inittowinit
The intention was there if not the brain

Thought it was a bit nuts going for a Watford player at the time but never mind. Usually prefer a big team for a captain
viktorsjolin
Hi everyone.
Should I play Heaton instead of Boruc? I’ve also got Smith in defense.
Thank you
Matt
Tough one but I’d go with Boruc.
Smash10
Tough one. Sunderland are so bad think I’d go double Bournemouth
dawids11
i’d go with Heaton, but it’s a 50-50 call imo
smithy
Heaton for me
viktorsjolin
Thank you guys. It didnt make it easier though
Matt
Morning guys. I asked last night about Azpi or Alonso and Init said go with Azpi because of BPS points but Alonso at 0.8 % ownership is so tempting as a differential!! Is it too early to be thinking about differential or just play safe and listen to Init??
Smash10
If they are the same price I’d go Alonso. Azpi got forward a lot from full back but won’t be now. Not like he even goes up for corners
Smash10
Luiz has come close a few times to scoring as well but everyone hates him
Matt
Hey Smash. Alonso is actually 0.1 cheaper at 5.9 so that’s another plus but not a big one. That’s how I feel too but I haven’t really watched Chelsea this year. I have noticed that Alonso seems to be a LM or LWB so that’s another plus. It’s just Azpi is tried and tested.
Smash10
Alonso is getting forward a lot. Azpil was earlier in the season but is pretty much the deepest defender now
Smash10
Azpil is better player just not for fantasy I don’t think
Matt
Right that’s what I was assuming based on the recent history on FPL site. Cheers Smash.

Have some benching dilemma. Settled with this finally. Looks okay?
Matt
Looks good mate.
smithy
Great midfield
Pancho
Abhirup Vokes over Allen for me.
