Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11 article. If we said that six of our team all scored 3 points or less this week then you’d maybe expect that this would then lead onto a story of sorrow and despair. It just goes to show what having a minority of decent performers can actually produce though as we managed a fairly respectable 79 with a load of hallowed green arrows in all the right places. Cech, Walker, Pieters, Sterling, Capoue and Deeney are the players doing the walk of shame. Holebas, Firmino, Sanchez, Aguero and Lukaku can all hold their heads high, if they can shoulder the weight of our team. They carried us through to a small rise in the rankings from 57k to 39k. It’s not ground breaking but at this stage it’s acceptable. We do have a small confession to make this week though…! We voted for, and subsequently published, that we would captain Deeney last week. That was our intention, albeit a bad one, with the benefit of hindsight. Fortunately, as such… we didn’t actually captain him, we inadvertently captained Sanchez. We didn’t actually notice the faux-pas until we checked the score on Saturday evening. It was a net gain of just 11 points but that probably represented a good few thousand places in the rankings. We did the transfers but we just failed to confirm the final team. It happens to the best of us. And we’re delighted to say it happened to us this week!
Transfer #1: Capoue to Gundongan
We had a transfer saved in the bank this week and we felt it was a good opportunity to fix a couple of issues so we unleashed both.
We rarely make an early transfer but we did this one on Tuesday as he was going up in price and he was also clearly on fire! Given his form allied to City’s fixtures and his bargain price this one was a no-brainer for us. When he was signed it was expected he would be just another cheap DM with little or no FPL value, and his price reflected that, but he’s proven to be a box to box midfielder with goals in his locker. Think Yaya Toure about 3 years ago, but about 4 stone lighter, an actual work ethic and an agent who isn’t a w@nker.
Transfer #2: Deeney to Austin
This is what happens when you don’t score 3 against Hull, we just sell you. Let that be a warning to you Mr Austin! We hope it’s one he heeds as he’s ours now, or at least he is until he either fails or another ‘3rd’ forward presents themselves with either better fixtures or better form. Hull may have finally put a resistance last week but this one still makes sense all round, especially given that it’s for free.
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 11!
Our captain is (possibly ) Sergio Aguero and our vice captain is Charlie Austin
Unanimous. That probably says it all. As a bonus treat we even double checked that we saved it this week…
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

Fixture Tracker – the next 6 games
Hi guys,
Help required, I am having a poor season.
0.1m in the bank and 2FTs
Any suggestions please?
McAuley to Lowton sounds good to me
Smithy
Don’t see much wrong middle to front. How about Walker and Koscielny to Chelsea and Leicester cover?
Guys, Zuniga and Amat seem to have lost their places which is an issue. I was thinking of Kos to maybe Stones but Chelsea cover is a good shout.
I could do a straight swap of Zuninga to a 4.5m like Lowton
Confusing myself now haha
It’s pretty hard to suggest options because you should have a good week. I’d probably change Zuniga and reassess after the break
Smash, that is what I am considering but Cech, Kos and Walker all in the same game could be bad
Think I’d do Zuniga to a 4.5 plenty of them out there. But yeah I’m in favour of downgrading Kos to Morgan or Stones then upgrading attack
How’s my 11 looking? Bit screwed on defence this week but you never know how they’ll turn out! Brought in Heaton and Gun for a -4 this week, any grounds for a -8 or should I sit tight? 1.9 ITB
What about playing Capoue instead of Holebas, or Evans?
Pool defense isn’t the tighest, even if Capoue plays quite deep. More lilely that he scores than that Hobelas keeps a clean sheet (but Hobelas might score as well, right…)
With -4 already, i wouldn’t transfer anybody anyway.
Rosco
There’s a chance Everton could hold Chelsea but there’s no chance Watford could hold Liverpool.
Williams in for Holebas I think.
No more transfers though.
Thanks guys, Williams is coming in.. will debate Evans and cap but fancy a 0-0 with West Brom..
Guys,
Who is the best 4.5m defender available considering form and fixtures?
Probably Pieters on form but for the tried and tested then West Brom cover.
Bournemouth isn’t bad either.
I’d go Pieters as you have West Brom cover. Bournemouth fixtures go downhill after this week
+1, plus Lowton or Mee from Burnley.
Anyone taking a punt on hazard this week?
Sit tight Mitro :cuss:
😉
GP – I can’t help it mate! My mind wanders all the time when it comes to FF
Yeah I have put him in. Did Capoue and Ibra out for Hazard and Austin. Hazard is pretty much playing off Costa and seems to have picked up some form.
Ive made my 1FT, Good to go ? If anyone wants a tip put a player from my bench in your first team because my bench has been scoring bog all season lol!
Starfox
I think you’re set.
no worries, Snodgrass won’t
Thanks, my team has been scoring bog all, so every little helps.
:>
Afternoon all! Which two defenders would you play out of Shawcross (West Ham, away), Holebas (Liverpool, away), Walker (Arsenal, away) and Jordi Amat (Man Utd, home – that’s if he even gets a start)? My other defender is Smith who I’ll definitely be playing with his fixture!
Cheers!
Shawcross and Holebas for me Swirly. but it’s a gamble..
