Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 27
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 27. GW26 wasn’t one of our better weeks sadly, but every now and again we allow the Community Team their five minutes in the spotlight 😉 We scored just 48 points, three above the average but a red arrow followed as we slipped to 52,554. Our two transfers of Jakupovic and Mane contributed 6pts between them and it was only that high as we capo’d Mane. We only played with 10 as Andy Carroll didn’t play and neither did Matt Phillips or that idiot Amat from the bench. Yeah overall pretty depressing, I’m walking off the ledge just writing this. Thank the Lord, no not Pardew, for Seamus Coleman, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Kyle Walker – they scored 37 of our points. As punishment we took the squad to La Managa for a training camp this week as we’ve seen how well teams respond to this :winktongue:
Transfer(s) for GW27 – We have sold Defoe and Alli and bought Aguero and Sterling:
Two popular moves which need little explanation. City’s DGW is clearly the draw here and if you can’t take a hit for a DGW then when can you?! Selling Alli is a shame but someone had to take one for the team and young Alli is our sacrifical lamb. Aguero is about as obvious a transfer as you can get with the form he is in, while Sterling was also unanimous with the likes of Sane, KdB or Silva not even mentioned. These two transfers don’t improve our number for the reduced week that is GW28 but we can address that to some extent next week.
Team in full –
Captain: We have voted to TRIPLE CAPTAIN AGUERO
It has been a strange season for Aguero – two red cards, an apparent fall out with Pep and the resurrection (forgive us) of Jesus all played a part in the striker losing his starting spot. Jesus was seen as the man who could perfectly carry out Pep’s preferred role as a “hard working striker” and he started great before picking up an injury at Bournemouth. So Aguero gets a reprieve and four goals in two matches suggests the Kun of old is back. Even Pep is impressed, this is what the manager said after City’s win over Huddersfield: “It’s the best performance I’ve ever seen from Sergio”. He scored two goals and created a lot of chances. When he plays at that level, he’s unstoppable. We are so happy with how he played today”. Praise indeed.
The vote to use our Triple Captain chip on Aguero this week was not unanimous, but was clear enough. Matches vs Sunderland and Stoke for an attacking team is about as good as it gets and with City having scored nine goals in their previous two matches, it would appear that the attacking prowess that was so evident earlier in the season has returned. Aguero has superb recent records vs both clubs – five goals in four matches vs Sunderland and five in three vs Stoke. The alternative of course is to wait for something better, which ultimately may not arrive. The big DGW will be in GW37 and we will use our Bench Boost that week. We could end up not being happy with the alternatives and ending up TC’ing someone in GW38! Or worse still lumping it on Andy Carroll – and we saw how that worked out for many last season!
Are we expecting 180mins from Aguero? No, of course not. Iheanacho came on for Aguero vs Huddersfield and scored so he will definitely take some game time away from Sergio but we are confident (hopeful) that Pep will continue to start Aguero in both league matches.
So balls out it is on Kun.

So guys, made my changes last night as Aguero was on the rise. Brought in Kun and Grosicki for Kane and Eriksen. Both of them might be back after GW29. Couldn’t fit Sane as i was short by 0.1m(sad i know). Already have Sterling since gw23 and he’s given me decent returns. Grosicki gives me coverage for gw28. Have 9 players for 28 now, if everything goes ok till then. What do you guys say? Good to go?
Perfect
Thanks Rohan. All the best for tomorrow.
Constantine,
The team looks good. Grosicki could be an interesting differential
As no ones’s discussing any thing other than the DGW, just want Sanchez to drop a few points more. Sold him at 11.4m. Won’t be bad to get him back in at the same price. Arsenal have some decent fixtures ahead till the end now barring 35/36 GWs. Good captain choice(or may be TC at some point) for all these games.
You are probably not alone in hoping he falls in price. Tbh I thought he might fall a little more already given the blank last week and in GW28. Now we may get another 0.1 or max 0.2 fall but probably not more.
Thinking of Capou to Grociski, has decent fixtures and definitely better than Capou for now? Would be for a hit. Do it or not?
Snookie,
Not sure a hit for him is necessary this week. Away to Leicester may not be as attractive as it was a few weeks ago.
What are your plans for GW28?
Really don’t know at the moment 😛 Probably replacing Capou or Allen to Snoddy
Idk if it’s bug or something, the first comment’s content remains when I open the browser after posting in reply section, even the image is selected already so I have to remove it and then reply. Removed the content but forgot the image!
Is it a browser problem or site’s?
I’d stay with allen yill the dgw. Capoue can go.
Are you letting Allen go when he has a DGW? Or maybe I misunderstood? Im keeping him for 27.
Hey Cookie, GP & inittowinit
I’m using wildcard for this GW. Aguero to Lukaku for GW28.
Give me some advice, please!
I would want Alonso there but if he’s way out of budget get Courtios but would want someone from Chelsea’s defense
I have £0.6 in bank. So, I can get Walker to Alonso! However, Walker is good, too.
OK Wazza, firstly keepers – keep Jaku and replace Randolph with a keeper who was a DGW later on. This will save you an annoying transfer later on when you try and maximise your squad. Pickford of Sunderland is a good cheap choice.
Slight Dilemna …Should I play Alonso ahead of McAuley ? Full team below :
Robles
Alonso McAuley Pieters Valencia Amat
Eriksen Siggy Mane Sane Allen
Aguero Anichebe Lukaku
Doesnt matter. Activated Wildcard and changed the face of my team. lol
hahaha why are people playing their wildcard this week?!
Well its a good way to maximise points for this week by having approx. 4 DGW players at least for this week and also keeping a few players on the bench for next week. But yeah not great planning as I got Vardy in so hoping for a one week haul from him !
Team,
Please RMT
Ragunath,
Looks fine with some good DGW coverage.
Move Jones to first sub just on the off chance he plays.
thanks Cookie.
Had a thought to start him but worried he might not start and will end last 10-15 mins which I feel better Walker as starter from attacking points compare to Baines (aware that he is on penalties)..
wanted to start baines and sub Rondon as he is doing nothing since his header hattrick which is sad.keeping him for next gw .
If you can’t start Rondon vs Palace….!!! He is due a goal. I am likely benching Baines also.
