Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 27. GW26 wasn’t one of our better weeks sadly, but every now and again we allow the Community Team their five minutes in the spotlight 😉 We scored just 48 points, three above the average but a red arrow followed as we slipped to 52,554. Our two transfers of Jakupovic and Mane contributed 6pts between them and it was only that high as we capo’d Mane. We only played with 10 as Andy Carroll didn’t play and neither did Matt Phillips or that idiot Amat from the bench. Yeah overall pretty depressing, I’m walking off the ledge just writing this. Thank the Lord, no not Pardew, for Seamus Coleman, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Kyle Walker – they scored 37 of our points. As punishment we took the squad to La Managa for a training camp this week as we’ve seen how well teams respond to this :winktongue:

Transfer(s) for GW27 – We have sold Defoe and Alli and bought Aguero and Sterling:
Two popular moves which need little explanation. City’s DGW is clearly the draw here and if you can’t take a hit for a DGW then when can you?! Selling Alli is a shame but someone had to take one for the team and young Alli is our sacrifical lamb. Aguero is about as obvious a transfer as you can get with the form he is in, while Sterling was also unanimous with the likes of Sane, KdB or Silva not even mentioned. These two transfers don’t improve our number for the reduced week that is GW28 but we can address that to some extent next week.

Team in full –

Captain: We have voted to TRIPLE CAPTAIN AGUERO
It has been a strange season for Aguero – two red cards, an apparent fall out with Pep and the resurrection (forgive us) of Jesus all played a part in the striker losing his starting spot. Jesus was seen as the man who could perfectly carry out Pep’s preferred role as a “hard working striker” and he started great before picking up an injury at Bournemouth. So Aguero gets a reprieve and four goals in two matches suggests the Kun of old is back. Even Pep is impressed, this is what the manager said after City’s win over Huddersfield: “It’s the best performance I’ve ever seen from Sergio”. He scored two goals and created a lot of chances. When he plays at that level, he’s unstoppable. We are so happy with how he played today”. Praise indeed.

The vote to use our Triple Captain chip on Aguero this week was not unanimous, but was clear enough. Matches vs Sunderland and Stoke for an attacking team is about as good as it gets and with City having scored nine goals in their previous two matches, it would appear that the attacking prowess that was so evident earlier in the season has returned. Aguero has superb recent records vs both clubs – five goals in four matches vs Sunderland and five in three vs Stoke. The alternative of course is to wait for something better, which ultimately may not arrive. The big DGW will be in GW37 and we will use our Bench Boost that week. We could end up not being happy with the alternatives and ending up TC’ing someone in GW38! Or worse still lumping it on Andy Carroll – and we saw how that worked out for many last season!

Are we expecting 180mins from Aguero? No, of course not. Iheanacho came on for Aguero vs Huddersfield and scored so he will definitely take some game time away from Sergio but we are confident (hopeful) that Pep will continue to start Aguero in both league matches.

So balls out it is on Kun.

  1. After the price rises i can’t now do the planned moved of Ibra / Ali > Kun / Sane.
Anyone got any love for Yaya as a Sane replacement?
Or should i box abit smarter and bring in another 28 player like Snoddy?

    • meant to attach current team. 1ft 0.0itb
      Any help appreciated 😉

      • I don’t suppose Costa and Mane to Kun and Sane works does it?

        • It doesn’t Init, Costa > Kun leaves 7.1m.
cheers Cookie, I think i’ll give Yaya a ride and hope for a pen or 2.
Kun is coming in and caution is being thrown to the wind with the TC chip laugh

      • I feel your pain, I somehow forgot to do my transfers last night, but thankfully it was only Aguero who went up and the players I was going to sell didn’t go down like they should have. Anyway, enough about me – I would take a punt on Yaya, yeah.

    • I actually debated doing yaya instead of sterling but i bottled it! I think he could be a possible differential!

      • Yaya will certainly be a differential. The only question is whether he will be a good one :smirk:

  2. Hey guys! So I made the template moves last night before the rises, i’ll probably drop the TC on Kun as he cant do worse than Andy C did for me last season!
Think i have my lineup right but I think its a tight call between Snoddy and Coleman or brunt but it would be good to get other peoples thoughts?

    • I think i’d play Coleman over Snoddy for the attacking potential, Coleman has been in good form

  3. Any suggestions would be great here i know i preferably need city cover for the dgw i have 2ft 0.2itb and also got my wc to play

    • Rogue, you need to get City cover. Atleast two of them.

    • If you want two Man City players, can you afford Costa to Aguero and Eriksen to Sterling? Alternatively, you could do Sanchez and Matic to Sterling and Sané, if you can manage to?

  4. Good to go?

    • Should be good Kickers

    • That, my friend, is A1. Feet up, kettle on, watch the points roll in!

    • Ok, steady on chaps! If he does not score a hatful Kickers might just want to kick someone for building up his hopes

      • Arghh commentators curse! A hatful of points seems to have gone missing for me this season!

    • Very nice! Hot to trot!

  5. Guys I’ve already taken a hit. Temoted to either get coleman for pva or stones for chambers for -8.i could then tc kun. What fo we think? Cheers guys.

    • Keep it as is, Man U Man. Price rises are annoying but, as Cookie says, Coleman is away to Spurs (pretty difficult) and anything like a red card or injury could happen too.

    • A hit for a City defender? Seems crazy.

      • On that note, I am aiming an 8 point hit and take out Alli for Siggy. Hehe. Probably also would have done Costa to Ibra but after Costa dropped last night I am 0.1m short. sad

In hind sight that last one might be a blessing in disguise or a curse. I feel the Siggy transfer I can make though.

  6. Oi oi!!

How’s my team looking for this GW? Should I use my TC chip?
