Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 30
It seems like an age ago, but it’s time to quickly reflect on the performance of the FF247 team in GW29 before moving onto our transfer plans for GW30. If you remember we took a hit last week due to Eden Hazard’s injury and it worked out ok as our new recruit Josh King weighed in with a late assist in Bournemouth’s win over Swansea – the fact he was awarded 2bps made it all the more sweeter. The week turned out well – we scored 76pts, net 72 after the hit compared to the average of 47, which resulted in another green arrow – we now stand at 39,396. Like many teams, the highlight was Captain Romelu, who like King, left it late but delivered an assist and then two injury time goals for a 16pt haul, doubled to 32. Christian Eriksen, Seamus Coleman and Jordan Pickford all contributed useful totals to beef up our score – even Andy “Eeyore” Carroll assisted and that alone allowed us to forgive the uselessness of Mane, Siggy, Llorente, Walker and Pieters.
Our transfer this week is: Selling Seamus Coleman and buying Antonio Valencia
Poor old Seamus had done us proud and would likely have been a season keeper despite his lack of a DGW. However, he dared to take on the Welsh on a Friday night – never a good idea with that lot. Poor old Seamus came off worse in a ‘challenge’ from Neil ‘he’s not that type of player’ Taylor. Taylor received a red card, Coleman received a double break in his leg and is unlikely to play again this calendar year at the earliest. Unlike some, we showed our favourite full back some respect and refused to sell him immediately – that would of been heartless and Welsh-like. We looked at all possibilities and with Man United’s DGWs coming up we unanimously decided to replace Coleman with Antonio Valencia who has either kept a clean sheet, scored or assisted in seven of the last eight game-weeks.
We are playing our AOA chip this week. We didn’t fancy Stoke’s chances of a clean sheet at Leicester and with Josh King in good form we have decided to play him over Erik Pieters. It’s a throw away chip anyway as we all know and we are running out of weeks in which we could use it.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Eden Hazard
The committee has voted for Hazard to take the armband as he faces a home match vs relegation threatened Crystal Palace. With 11 goals and 7 assists already this term, the Belgian is the clear standout choice – we hope! Siggy is the vice just in case Haz doesn’t make it after his latest injury scare which forced him to miss Belgian’s recent internationals.
That’s our team anyway. Don’t be shy to let us know yours or to ask advice of fellow managers ahead of the deadline. A problem shared is a problem halved and all that. Or more likely, simply complicated even further!

Good luck Site Team.
All seems in order to me.
I’d personally play Pickford but there’s not that much in it.
Mooooonin all!!
We ready for GW30?
Morning dunno!
Bought Vardy yet?!
Like a devil and an angel on each shoulder
Yep! 😉
All we need now is good Kop and bad Kop
Not yet! Suspect if I do it will be done at 11.29
Well don’t cos he’s done his groin
Uh?
April fools?
Morning Mitro
I hope you managed to keep hold of Kun through the night?
GP – he’s still in my team
I would appreciate feedback for my team. I`m on wildcard at the moment and came out with the team like that. I had very little time this week as I was on business trip and now I`m not that sure what is exactly going on. I see Hazard and Costa are flagged. Should I worry?
I read somewhere Rose will be out for a while still so that should enable Davies for some time?
Anyway. This is first time this season I have Sanchez so I`m bit afraid it will go bad for him. You know who to blame.
I should add I have 0.2 ITB and I plan to go to Ibra/Kane combo so I will need to drop Alli or Eriksen and Davies in few weeks.
Anyway I just realised that this is pretty much 4-4-2 set up so I`m not sure if it is such a good thing.
Will Holgate play now that Funes Morii and COleman are out?
Also this is first time this season McAuley is out of my team so expect him to deliver big time at Old Trafford.
Konstro, Holgate will likely be Coleman’s replacement, I would double check with Init though.
If you want Ibra and Kane soon I would make it easier to transfer them
in without having to make 3/4/5 transfers.
I’m not sure both Hazard and Costa are necessary, Davies is ok short term.
Vardy ruled out for 3 weeks
That`s a biggy. I was actually thinking on bringing him in at last moment. There will be a lot of disappointed people
Look at the date….
#naughtycookie
hehe..there is always one as they say
Source?? 😉
Ketchup please mate 😉
I was going to buy him.
Decided on HP in the end. 😉
Nice one GP, he’s mustard 😉
Ha ha
Morning, this lot ready to rumble ? Saved my ft but was thinking McAuley/Williams to Bertie or Lukaku to Vardy.
Bertie makes good sense Elle.
Morning Cookster, yip, like the transfer but which defender to dump for him ?
Elle, Williams – GMac may get you something at Watford next week.
Morning all.
Need to do some chasing as I’ve lost my once healthy lead at the top of my mini league. And my ego really cannot take it! I’ve attached firstly my team (the one with Gabbiadini and Kane!) and my rivals’ team (with a fully fit squad!) so you guys can give me some tips on differentials. As you can see, my team needs some serious looking into.
Chilly,
Kane to Costa?
Cheers Cookie. Was thinking that though would love to bring in Ibra after this GW. Mind you with United’s mounting injury problems their run of fixtures look increasingly difficult.
Chilly, not sure I’d bring him in for Everton, maybe use next week’s transfer to raise the cash to fund Ibra for Sunderland in GW32.
Cheers. Is Vardy really out for three weeks?
April fool!
Lol. Forgot it was the 1st. Hope you weren’t kidding about the Kane to Costa move either!
No mate!
