Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 30
It seems like an age ago, but it’s time to quickly reflect on the performance of the FF247 team in GW29 before moving onto our transfer plans for GW30. If you remember we took a hit last week due to Eden Hazard’s injury and it worked out ok as our new recruit Josh King weighed in with a late assist in Bournemouth’s win over Swansea – the fact he was awarded 2bps made it all the more sweeter. The week turned out well – we scored 76pts, net 72 after the hit compared to the average of 47, which resulted in another green arrow – we now stand at 39,396. Like many teams, the highlight was Captain Romelu, who like King, left it late but delivered an assist and then two injury time goals for a 16pt haul, doubled to 32. Christian Eriksen, Seamus Coleman and Jordan Pickford all contributed useful totals to beef up our score – even Andy “Eeyore” Carroll assisted and that alone allowed us to forgive the uselessness of Mane, Siggy, Llorente, Walker and Pieters.
Our transfer this week is: Selling Seamus Coleman and buying Antonio Valencia
Poor old Seamus had done us proud and would likely have been a season keeper despite his lack of a DGW. However, he dared to take on the Welsh on a Friday night – never a good idea with that lot. Poor old Seamus came off worse in a ‘challenge’ from Neil ‘he’s not that type of player’ Taylor. Taylor received a red card, Coleman received a double break in his leg and is unlikely to play again this calendar year at the earliest. Unlike some, we showed our favourite full back some respect and refused to sell him immediately – that would of been heartless and Welsh-like. We looked at all possibilities and with Man United’s DGWs coming up we unanimously decided to replace Coleman with Antonio Valencia who has either kept a clean sheet, scored or assisted in seven of the last eight game-weeks.
We are playing our AOA chip this week. We didn’t fancy Stoke’s chances of a clean sheet at Leicester and with Josh King in good form we have decided to play him over Erik Pieters. It’s a throw away chip anyway as we all know and we are running out of weeks in which we could use it.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Eden Hazard
The committee has voted for Hazard to take the armband as he faces a home match vs relegation threatened Crystal Palace. With 11 goals and 7 assists already this term, the Belgian is the clear standout choice – we hope! Siggy is the vice just in case Haz doesn’t make it after his latest injury scare which forced him to miss Belgian’s recent internationals.
That’s our team anyway. Don’t be shy to let us know yours or to ask advice of fellow managers ahead of the deadline. A problem shared is a problem halved and all that. Or more likely, simply complicated even further!

Morning guys. I’m still struggling what to do here. Jones needs to go and want to get rid of Nyom as well. I’m a bit paranoid about future weeks though. Having enough to get rid of Llorente and maybe Siggy. So basically Valencia/Bailly and Vertonghen/Davies. Still have the wild card
Jones to Davies Smasher
Thanks Cookie it’s done. Any other moves or just leave it at that
Leave it there for now Smash
Cheers Cookie
When is Rose back?
What about Cedric or have you pressed the button?
Rose is still weeks away, Dreamers
How you set Cookie?
I want to sell Baines to Alonso for a hit Dreamers.
Been contemplating it for 2 days now. Going for a walk to think some more
Yeah done it. There are a lot of games in April. Plus I have the wild card anyway still
I think Alonso is one of the better captain picks this week. Some tricky games on the horizon though
Morning guys. Who should I captain?
Mane
Aguero
Siggy
Llorente
Lukaku
Smithy, there’s not an obvious pick this week so you’ll likely get 5 different answers!
What does your gut say? Apart from, “where’s my brekkie?” 😉
Cookie, I’m thinking Mane with Everton having injury problems?
I’d rule the Swansea boys out and would probably go with Mane because of your reasons or Lukaku because of form
Smithy,
I would have no problem captaining any of your choices, although I am having trouble trusting any of the Liverpool lot again!!
Aguero from that list
Great article lads, thanks!
Morning chaps,
Any transfers anyone would make to this team for a hit?
0ft 7.7itb
db, Fraser to Alexis.
I agree
Done. Thanks chaps.
Jokers have played with the tracker
This is my team for the week, thanks to all who gave advice. Going for Mane as Cappo given Everton’s injury worries! Now, out for Coldplay concert ;P
Pickford
Walker Bertrand Pieters
Sanchez Siggy Alli Mane (C)
LKK Llorente Costa (VC)
nice team Neo
Thanks mate. I did take a -4 to sort out Brunt to Walker for the rest of the season. Wanted to go for Valencia but seeing that everyone has him and that United are facing an injury crisis… I decided to go against the tide! Will do Llorente to Gabbi the next week
