Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 30
It seems like an age ago, but it’s time to quickly reflect on the performance of the FF247 team in GW29 before moving onto our transfer plans for GW30. If you remember we took a hit last week due to Eden Hazard’s injury and it worked out ok as our new recruit Josh King weighed in with a late assist in Bournemouth’s win over Swansea – the fact he was awarded 2bps made it all the more sweeter. The week turned out well – we scored 76pts, net 72 after the hit compared to the average of 47, which resulted in another green arrow – we now stand at 39,396. Like many teams, the highlight was Captain Romelu, who like King, left it late but delivered an assist and then two injury time goals for a 16pt haul, doubled to 32. Christian Eriksen, Seamus Coleman and Jordan Pickford all contributed useful totals to beef up our score – even Andy “Eeyore” Carroll assisted and that alone allowed us to forgive the uselessness of Mane, Siggy, Llorente, Walker and Pieters.
Our transfer this week is: Selling Seamus Coleman and buying Antonio Valencia
Poor old Seamus had done us proud and would likely have been a season keeper despite his lack of a DGW. However, he dared to take on the Welsh on a Friday night – never a good idea with that lot. Poor old Seamus came off worse in a ‘challenge’ from Neil ‘he’s not that type of player’ Taylor. Taylor received a red card, Coleman received a double break in his leg and is unlikely to play again this calendar year at the earliest. Unlike some, we showed our favourite full back some respect and refused to sell him immediately – that would of been heartless and Welsh-like. We looked at all possibilities and with Man United’s DGWs coming up we unanimously decided to replace Coleman with Antonio Valencia who has either kept a clean sheet, scored or assisted in seven of the last eight game-weeks.
We are playing our AOA chip this week. We didn’t fancy Stoke’s chances of a clean sheet at Leicester and with Josh King in good form we have decided to play him over Erik Pieters. It’s a throw away chip anyway as we all know and we are running out of weeks in which we could use it.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Eden Hazard
The committee has voted for Hazard to take the armband as he faces a home match vs relegation threatened Crystal Palace. With 11 goals and 7 assists already this term, the Belgian is the clear standout choice – we hope! Siggy is the vice just in case Haz doesn’t make it after his latest injury scare which forced him to miss Belgian’s recent internationals.
That’s our team anyway. Don’t be shy to let us know yours or to ask advice of fellow managers ahead of the deadline. A problem shared is a problem halved and all that. Or more likely, simply complicated even further!

Guys. Suggestions on captain and who to buy would be useful. Should I do coutinho to tadic ? Thanks guys.
waltine – I’d be happy with that transfer
What’s your team mate? Personally I considered Redmond because he will probably play as striker whilst Gabbi is out for the next 1-2 games and that Redmond plays 90 mins vs Tadic’s 70 mins
Thanks for the suggestions. Vardy worth taking any hit for? Thinking of dropping kun
Here mate. Thanks.
This is my team.
Antonio -> Tadic
Thanks DMC. Would you captain tadic or siggy ?
Hi all, here’s my squad for this week. Obviously being an Irish man I have to replace Coleman but for who? Part of me is telling me to wildcard it. Any other thoughts on the team is appreciated, thanks.
Davies
I looked at the option of wildcarding. This GW didnt feel “right” so didnt. I’m not sure how many of that team would not end up on your wc team too
Not WC material. Coleman -> Fuchs gives you a decent first XI.
Orning,
Anything to sort out here for a hit? £0.9 ITB
Orning ate, looks good, I’d maybe not run the risk of putting the (c) on Costa just in case the worst should happen and he doesn’t start, he’s only managed to score +10 on three occasions this season so far so I’d take a punt with one of your other surer starters this GW.
Can’t quite decide what to do here, any suggestions? Could do Sanchez and Sterling to Hazard and Alli for a hit but wondered if it’s worth it? Or a Mane to Firmino and Sterling to Alli? Possibly even something else!
I don’t mind Firmino and Alli. I would not be getting rid of Sanchez
igy4 – that’s the kind of moves one may regret deeply. Those are all prime players and you got them for a reason. That aren’t out of form either so I guess you stick to your guns here.
This is one of those cases where Tom Finley mentioned on the FF mag we need to have patient and trust our own choices.
Your defense is where you should use your FT this week imo.
good afternoon all. I have 1.6 ITB & 0 FT left. I have few confusions:
1. whom to play as gk
2. is it the gw to deploy aoa chip??
3. is there any other hit needed for my team
4. whom to give the armband?
any suggestion regarding the team would be very much appreciated
Hoch,
Pickford
Yes
No
Costa, Luk or Mane
Guys, I plan on doing Streling and Aguero to Sanchez and Vardy next week. I have 1FT should I do Aguero to Vardy this week?
Think I prefer Aguero to Vardy this week
City home to Hull in GW32…..
True but I want Sanchez as not having him has cost me big this season. Not sure I could have them both
Smithy
I’d keep one of Sterling or Kun for sure
