Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 31
Cutting straight to the chase this week, as time is of the essence, we scored 50 points in GW30 which was 10 above the average and it saw us register yet another green arrow, which is now 10 of those in the last 13 weeks. It’s ‘slowly, slowly catchy monkey’ though it seems as we’ve only actually risen by 30,000 places in all that time! This week we jumped up 5k to 34,416 overall. We aren’t complaining of course, it all just feels a bit laborious! A bit like our team itself this week actually as there was nothing to get excited about individually, it was more of a collective effort with just the odd goal or assist, here or there. Valencia and Nyom shared a 0-0 which suited our clean sheet bank, Captain Hazard grabbed an assist, Mane and Carroll a goal apiece. And that was pretty much it. This week’s site team meeting was hasty and a bit heated as a result! One naughty schoolboy was even slapped on the wrist and sent away to check his homework as a result of insubordination and cheek. After that the adults continued and here’s what we decided on…
Our transfer this week is: Selling Sadio Mane and buying Alexis Sanchez
Ideally we didn’t want to be doing this ahead of ‘Bournemouth at home’, but such is FPL sometimes, best laid plans and all that… Sadio was unfortunately crocked in the derby but fortunately we had a healthy bank of £3.2mln which was probably always planned and destined to fund an Alexis move at some point in the next few weeks given his imminent DGW’s. We’ve simply brought that decision forward a bit.
West Ham are this weeks opponents and they haven’t won in their last 6, losing the last 4 straight. Away from home in their last 2 they’ve conceded 3 at Bournemouth and 2 at Hull. If Alexis is even slightly on form here he should be able to repay our faith in him.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Alexis Sanchez
The new man has the armband for what we hope will be his 9th double-digit score of the season. The Chilean returned 23pts vs the Hammers in the reverse fixture in GW14 with a hatty and an assist. Same again please pal.

Hello guys. My team needs a miracle. No funds itb but thinking of getting Vardy and Sanchez. Can I drop kun for Vardy and captain him as my options are limited :\ is there anyone worth taking a hit for I can afford ?
Of course you can Waltine, you can do what you like! Many have gone Vardy this week.
Thanks cookie. With Carroll not playing, really tempted to take a hit but not sure whom. Any ideas?
Waltine, Carroll is playing. No need to hit.
LIVERPOOL team news – Klopp says it’s too early to give a proper diagnosis on Sadio Mane due to the swelling on the knee, though he is definitely ruled out of Wednesday’s match vs Bournemouth and the general consensus appears to think his absence will be a matter of weeks rather than days. Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are also unavailable, though Klopp says Daniel Sturridge is ‘in team training and it’s good to have him back. Probably he can be in the squad.’
Referring to Origi, Klopp says, ‘It’s good to have Divock. He’s a very important option for us now.’
that makes his exodus a sure thing now
Klopp also said it is possible his season is over, though that is obviously still to be confirmed once the swelling goes down.
The fact that Sturridge is close to being available puts a ? over Origi being a guaranteed starter.
Still better than Llorente!!
Not if he’s sat on the bench!
Still better than Llorente the last 2 games! Surely Origi will start tomorrow, can’t see Sturridge starting at the weekend either. Then Gabbi will be back. No?
Once Gabby is back…
Will this increase or decrease the pts scoring possibilities of Tadic?
What’s everyone’s opinion on this?
Currently playing as a no.10 and his form is not to be ignored.
Though, his schedule is not the best, tbh…
Form? What form? one goal in seven matches and 3 assists…..sorry, I get he may be worth a punt for the DGW but his form is not that great that he is an option outside of those doubles. In my opinion. I know GP thinks as you do HL, but I just don’t see it.
No Sturridge wont start today and I’m not sure about the weekend.
Tadic has scored three goals this season, yes – but has also created 46 chances and has four assists.
He also scored Serbia’s first goal from the penalty spot and assisted the other two in a 3-1 World Cup qualifying win…
Needless to say he was unhappy not to score last GW…
In my book – a worthy (in form) differential 😉
I took a punt on Tadic with the view if he gets something against Bournemouth or Palace he stays,if not he becomes Zaha…..
I won’t be tempted by Vardy temptig as he is. I need to keep my faith in Lukaku and Costa
Ok another risky decision Mane to Sanchez and Costa to Vardy as Captain. I thought Sanchez against WH was prime Captain material but my gut tells me different now so Vardy it is.
I’m doing Llorente to Origi and Mane to Mahrez(as a punt) for a -4..Owned by just 9.2%, half of which could be dead teams. So, could prove a decent differential. what so you people suggest?
CHELSEA team news – Conte says he doesn’t know if Victor Moses will be available and then gives the all too common line – ‘we have a couple of situations to check on.’
HULL team news – Evandro Goebel has recovered from a calf strain and is in contention but defender Omar Elabdellaoui is likely to miss the next two matches with a back injury. Tom Huddlestone remains suspended.
