Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 35
Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 35. We came home alright this week, with a fairly respectable score of 63. Not spectacular but enough to see us rise slightly in the rankings by about 4k to 45,895. And this was despite Captain Negredo stinking the place out. What on earth were we thinking?! At least we weren’t alone on that one… he had a modicum of form and certainly the fixtures in his favour. The clue was probably in him being the centre forward for the lowest scoring team out of all 92 league clubs though. Stats, damned lies, and statistics? Sometimes they are what they are for a reason. As for the others they had to pull him out of the proverbial, and most did just that we are pleased to say. Jaku, Walker and Valencia all brought home a clean sheet, whilst Erik, Hazard and King all got a goal each. Our other two forwards seemed to go on strike in sympathy with Alvaro though.
This weeks transfer – Negredo OUT, Gabbiadini IN
This weeks transfer out needs little explanation, suffice to say! The in one was probably a foregone conclusion too, and although Benteke did garner a little bit of support, Gabbi won with ease. The Saints have notched some decent winning margins at home as of late (4 against Sunderland and Watford and 3 against Palace) and this week sees them play the team with the most amount of goals against them on the road in the shape of Hull who have shipped 41 in that respect.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Harry Kane
Having captained that useless Spaniard last week it should come as no surprise that we have gone for a somewhat more reliable option this week in the form of Harry Kane. Our new signing Gabbi ran him close in the vote but his record against Arsenal swung it Kane’s way, he has scored in all 4 NLDs in which he has played scoring 5 goals along the way. With a goal and two assists in the league as well as a goal against Chelsea in the semi-final last weekend his recent form is also quite good.

***NEW ARTICLE***
Here’s the site team for this weekend. Our transfer is unlikely to come as a surprise!
Hi Kop
With rotational risk of Walker and Valencia and Nyom also dropped recently, was there any consideration given to a hit for a gauranteed starter at the back?
Hi Struggler,
It wasn’t even mentioned. You do make a good point but our decisions tend to be quite conservative and we don’t tend to take many hits. Let’s hope we can get 3 defenders out and we’ll sort it on our WC next week.
Yoshida or jagielka? Which to play?
Hi Kickers
Given the fixture id say Yoshida
Agreed
Ta
Would you downgrade jagielka to 4.2 mil defender to swap Pickford to willy cab?
+1
Morning all,
I made my transfers yesterday of Amat & Negredo to Stephens & Gabbiadini – I took a hit but I had concerns in terms of Valencia/Walker/Nyom gametime and Southampton have the DGWs…
Team in full below but would appreciate peoples thoughts on captain choice – torn between Aguero and Firmino. Aguero probably the safer bet but Firmino and Liverpool have a few goals in them I feel vs Watford
I’d probably go with Aguero but you should go with your gut.
What about Alli or Gabbiadini?
Hi Leprechaun
Ya Gabbiadini was in the mix aswell but as City and Liverpool both have to win and attack I am leaning between those two, Aguero currently has the armband now…..
As for Ali – I think Kane is the man here if I had him…Ali could pick up a goal or assist but think Kane will score and I just feel Aguero has the easier task vs Boro
Cheers
My Wc is active this week will be low scoring for me more than likely, I have 0 itb what potential changes would you guys make. All suggestions appreciated
Rogue,
No Hazard or Costa is an immediate cause for concern – check their final 4 fixtures.
The only other issues I see are Davies & Benalouane who are most likely to lose their places soon enough to Rose & Morgan.
This look any better?
You deffo need Hazard in there, probably means sacrificing Kane or Jesus though. As your budget is tight you could switch one of those to Afobe. No dgw but good form and great fixtures, then switch either Capoue or Sane to Hazard depending which striker you lose.
Holgate for Benal?
Gabriel for Cahill
Cech to someone cheap
Give you enough for Sane to Hazard?
Morning All.
Another great article, WC team looks like this. Topping ML at the moment but other are not far behind. 0.2 ITB and looking towards the next two GW.
Good Luck all
Village, looks good mate.
To be constructively critical, can you downgrade Capoue to Tom Carroll and upgrade Pickford to Willy the City keeper?
May just give you a better BB for DGW37?
This is the team I’m going in with right now.
1) Should I play Zaha, or is Townsend the right one? Townsend has just looked like he has more end product, plus Benteke regaining his scoring touch (probably) gives him assist potential.
2) I have lost faith in Sanchez giving me points partly because Wenger refuses to start him up front and partly because SAnchez himself has been playing pretty halfheartedly. So I am re-evaluating my decision to TC him next week (since I’ve already accidentally blown my WC). So, if I TC this week, who would be the better option? King or Kun, considering Kun is returning just one goal per match nowadays, even against Hull.
3) Should I hold fire, transfer in Hazard and Kane next week for Lukaku and one of the Palace boys, and TC one of them? If so, who?
Any other suggestions?
Nike,
1) play both, bench Davies
2) don’t TC this week
3) yeah good plan for next week, Hazard home to Boro could be a brilliant non-DGW TC.
