Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 35. We came home alright this week, with a fairly respectable score of 63. Not spectacular but enough to see us rise slightly in the rankings by about 4k to 45,895. And this was despite Captain Negredo stinking the place out. What on earth were we thinking?! At least we weren’t alone on that one… he had a modicum of form and certainly the fixtures in his favour. The clue was probably in him being the centre forward for the lowest scoring team out of all 92 league clubs though. Stats, damned lies, and statistics? Sometimes they are what they are for a reason. As for the others they had to pull him out of the proverbial, and most did just that we are pleased to say. Jaku, Walker and Valencia all brought home a clean sheet, whilst Erik, Hazard and King all got a goal each. Our other two forwards seemed to go on strike in sympathy with Alvaro though.

This weeks transfer – Negredo OUT, Gabbiadini IN
This weeks transfer out needs little explanation, suffice to say! The in one was probably a foregone conclusion too, and although Benteke did garner a little bit of support, Gabbi won with ease. The Saints have notched some decent winning margins at home as of late (4 against Sunderland and Watford and 3 against Palace) and this week sees them play the team with the most amount of goals against them on the road in the shape of Hull who have shipped 41 in that respect.

The Team in full this week…

Our captain is: Harry Kane
Having captained that useless Spaniard last week it should come as no surprise that we have gone for a somewhat more reliable option this week in the form of Harry Kane. Our new signing Gabbi ran him close in the vote but his record against Arsenal swung it Kane’s way, he has scored in all 4 NLDs in which he has played scoring 5 goals along the way. With a goal and two assists in the league as well as a goal against Chelsea in the semi-final last weekend his recent form is also quite good.

  1. Hi, on a WC. 0.9 ITB. Plan is to TC next week and BB in 37. Any thoughts?

  2. Hi guys.
I have been tinkering with my WC team for an hour now and this is the best I can do. Could you please help me? Is it good to go?
    Thank you

    • BB in GW37 and no money left

    • Errrr pic pls

    • You need Hazard.

    • viktor – where’s Hazard? Him ahead of Costa anyday. Ndidi isn’t DGW material. Don’t think you need double Utd defensive cover. I’d do DDG->Pickford, Costa->Jesus, Coutinho->Hazard and upgrade Ndidi with what’s left.

    • Thank you for your time.
      What about this then?

      • Looks slightly better. Benalouane is at risk with Morgan coming back anytime. I see you want Coutinho badly so won’t go there again.

        • Hehe. Thanks for the help. I put Sane and Blind in instead so no Coutinho

  3. 1 FT but not really sure what to do this week. Shore up my defence perhaps. Paying for premium defenders but for little return. Have 0.2 ITB.

    • I’d probably save it this week. No point losing Walker or Alonso due to attacking returns (when they actually play!) and Lovren has a decent shot at a cleanie this time.

      • Ended up bringing Darmien in, probably a silly move with the way my luck is going this Season. lol
        Thanks for the advice Innit!

  4. Not sure if I’ve got my bench right this week, feels wrong benching Zaha! Any thoughts?

    • Melon – tough call of course. I wouldn’t capo Rashford as he may well be rested for the EL game next week. On that basis maybe Zaha ahead of him too.

  5. Thats the problem one has with having 5 strong MF and 3 strong FW !!

    • I hate the who to bench calls, I still prefer taking an enabler in either the third forward spot or the fifth mid spot as it normally makes my who to bench fifty fifties a lot easier.

  6. Gents

What else should I be doing?

    • Nothing, nice team there Mitro

    • Hi Mitro,

Pls see my post (31) below. I struggle to see the point of 2 Soton defenders.

      • It enables me to have a pretty good front 8

        • I guess so. At least you have the team value to get away with it. Not sure that applies to everyone.

        • After they DGW they won’t play again 😉

    • Mitro – how about Cech to Willy for his double in 36, play Pick this week and then get Willy back for 37. You need more dgw36 players, unless you are planning one getting one more with your FT next week.

      • DMC – I’ve left enough to do that move mate 😉

        • Ok then. GTG and a brilliant WC team you got there. Team value giving you an extra 4.0 in comparison to us mortals!
