Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 9
For whom the Bell tolls
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW9
There was us giving it the big ‘un’ about the early kick-off, and once again the curse was very real as our captain Son managed a paltry 6pts against Luton. Pah.
The star of the show was a 9pt return from our keeper Sam Johnstone, but 6 pts from Trippier, Udogie and Maddison along with 5pts from Ollie Watkins was not enough to prevent a red arrow this week. Everyone else ended up with 2pts barring new signing Fabian Schar who went one better (worse) with just a 1pt return.
We finished the week with 47pts, 3pts above the average but not enough to prevent a 10k red arrow seeing us drop from 27,566 down to 37,821. Not too bad in the end and we’ll look to get back to winning ways in GW9.
Our Gameweek 8 Result
We have £0.5 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW9. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW9 Transfer(s)
Our first 11 look good to go this week but on our bench, It’s looking a little threadbare with 2 red flags and the non-playing Mubama.
We kept things simple with our decision-making process this week. We put it to vote, and the decision was unanimous that we would not only make a move this week but that we would also likely use our Wildcard in GW10 which seems to be the game week lots with said chip in hand are considering.
We then voted on whether we should use our single free transfer to cover our defence (given that we have two red-flagged defenders sitting on our bench) or take a cheeky 1-week punt. That one ended 4-2 in favour of the former. (Sorry Matt)
Our final vote was whether should we sell Estupinan or Bell. The injury to Andrew Robertson offers up a likely run of games for Konstantinos Tsimikas (£4.4m) and with favourable fixtures for the Reds, coupled with solid attacking stats when he did start last season, felt like a gift too good to refuse. Bell makes way and Pervis gets a stay of execution.
With solid fixtures for our starting 11, Tsimikas will have to make do with a spot on our bench, but should we need him, at least we now have that option.
Our plan right now is to play the WC in GW10, we could of course change our mind, I guess a lot will depend on how this game week plays out. As ever, we have a plan, but we remain flexible.
Haaland takes the armband and I for one hope he fails miserably (I don’t own him). Yikes.
To confirm then we have SOLD Amari’i Bell and BOUGHT Konstantinos Tsimikas
Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Do I have the starting 11 and bench order right here?
I have 1 FT but rolling seems fairly obvious, right?
Yeah I’d say that’s fine banjo.
All the best.
+1
Morning guys,
Good to go or replace Sterling with Diaby ?? 1ft available
I probably would sell Sterling but I’m not sure I’d go Diaby. Not the best match for him this weekend. Are you WCing anytime soon?
Already used WC. Any idea who to bring in or roll ??
Okay then Diaby for future weeks is okay as apart from this week he has a nice run of fixtures.
Yeah Chelsea have it rough looking at the fixtures but they are appearing to turn the corner and Sterling is a huge part of that.
Diaby is a good alternative, as is Bowen or get in nice and early on Mitoma. No telling what Brighton can do to anyone these days.
Play Turner or Onana?
What you on?
Bus team had Onana in but I’m leaning towards Turner slightly. Could go either way to be fair
Initial reactions are usually best Matt.
Onana then and I’ll carry the can.
(Incoming Wildcard mates )
Cheers to that mate.
Let the chaos begin! Looking forward to getting rid of Onana. He’s terrible hahaha
Good Morning All!
This is the my team for the week. not sure whether to bench gviardol or play him in.
I think you have it right. Perhaps put him first on the bench though just in case he’s needed
cheers matt
Looks good, good luck
you too dane
Hey there all. Hope you are in fine form today. Just a piece of last minute advice needed. I have Foden, Alvarez & Haaland. Due to team makeup I am forced to bench Foden. Or do you think it should be Alvarez??? I have Son, Maddie, Saka, Bowen, Phoden, Darwin, AAlvarez and Erling the Brat! Thanks in advance! !
Bench Saka. He might not even play
Do you reckon? That scares the Bejeezus out of me!
BTW, hoping to keep my WC for as long as possible, and next week I plan to sell off Son + Foden for Salah + 4.9 (perhaps Soucek I guess) if all goes well… or badly!!!
Thanks very much Matt – have made the suggested inversion of Foden and Saka!
I’d play Saka. Toss up then whether to bench Foden or Darwin. Play Foden if you know he starts. City team often gets leaked early.
Too late! Hahaha – publish and be damned!
Watching a bit of SA vs ENG. Should be a high scoring affair!
Good luck! And thanks guys.
I was there in the stadium for Pak vs Australia game yday in Bangalore . Awesome game, awesome atmosphere, lot of runs and wickets.
Wow Reg – extremely jealous!
And I was kicking myself for not getting in Marsh (got Maxwell instead!) – so dumb how that can ruin your enjoyment of the game! Have a great time mate – you’re so far out in front in the ICC game! Congrats!
Bangalore is batting pitch. Usually high scoring. Hence put Marsh and warner. I did do mistake of vc maxwell.
SA give the defending champs a proper beating. Eng on the brink of elimination now.
Play Douglas Louis or JWP??
JWP for the more likely assists – all set plays etc.
It is tough though Ivan. Both good options.
Thanks GP. There will be goals from both teams, at least 2-2, but hard to predict the scorers. I will go JWP.
