99 problems but Jackson ain’t one
Welcome to FF247 Site Team DGW37
Despite coming in 28pts above the average with a 99, there was no flake in our cone as we slumped to yet another red arrow. It could have been worse.
We backed the right captain, we had solid returns from our front 7, hell we even had our Arsenal defender doing what they do with 7pts from Gabriel. But to no avail.
Sunday was looking grim. Our decision to bench Jackson to the tune of 16pts was looking to take a devastating toll, kicking us out of the top 10k for the first time in 26 game weeks. Come Monday and the no-show from Bruno Fernandes, like many managers (including my own team) we benefitted from those 16pts subbing in. Nice. Sadly our sub in (for the injured Maguire) was Van de Ven, the Spurs centre-back with a -1 that dropped us just shy of the ton.
Our red arrow takes us from 6,493 to 7,330. As I said, it could have been worse.

We have £0.9m in the bank and 2 free transfer to use ahead of DGW37. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our DGW37 Transfer(s)
As planned we head into DGW37 with 2 transfers and it looks like we’ll need them. Injuries to Schar and Maguire mean there’ll be no Hail Mary plays or perfecting our 15 for the planned bench boost. It is what it is. We’ll be pressing ahead with our plan to play our final chip, so we need to replace the aforementioned duo with thoughts of ‘why didn’t we just go with Dalot and Burn ringing in our ears.
As ever, we put it to the Vote with a selection of defenders from Newcastle, Man UTD and Brighton. We threw in the Arsenal lads (for obvious reasons) and Branthwaite because despite having a single game week, the Toffees and their solid-looking defence face a Sheffield UTD side already condemned to the Championship. Furthermore, the Blades have collected just 6pts on their travels and the 16 goals they’ve scored away from Bramall Lane is the lowest tally in the league. You can see where this is going.
So, a clean sweep of votes means we flip Schar to teammate Burn, and Branthwaite comes in for Slab head. We still have a yellow flag on Bruno Fernandes, but news that he has trained means we’ll avoid taking an unwanted hit. Phew.
It’s been a good season for us, perhaps we could have pushed on with a few risky moves but that ain’t our style. We hope we’ve helped some of you with your own decision-making process along the way. I’ll be back to do a wrap-up article once the season is over. In the meantime, enjoy the final week and as ever, may your arrows be green.
To confirm then we have SOLD Schar and Maguire and BOUGHT Burn and Branthwaite and activated our Bench Boost Chip
Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

We’re into the penultimate game week of the season, and whilst we may be on yet another red arrow, we have our final chip in play and our hopes up high!
Good luck everyone!!
Thanks guys, good luck this week .
Like most who WC last week my team is nearly identical. Who is best for Maguire? I have 3 Chelsea. 3 Man City. I’m not convinced on 2 spurs defenders. Maybe dunk? Or any ideas welcome.
Also would you keep Bruno for not minus points but again for who?
Thank you everyone, nearly there x
I can’t get dunk I only have 4.3
I’m not convinced by 2 Spurs defenders either Joanne. Ben Godfrey from Everton perhaps?
I already have an Everton def unfortunately. I’m a bit stuck with the funds I have x
Tough with only 4.3, Livramento or Veltman I guess.
Veltman for me
Good luck all. I’m going with the BB like most. It seems Bruno should be ok so I have 1FT to burn. Walker to Gvardiol?
2 FT could be useful in 38! Outside of that I like the move!
I agree.
I have Gvardiol myself, but for Walker it’s very sideways, you are good to go imo this GW I would look at moves for next GW, if you don’t need to hits next GW then move to Gvardiol.
Could the site-team explain their logic is in keeping Bruno?
Do they think he will play at least one game?
Wondering what they think about taking a -4 and bringing in a DGW player that isn’t flagged.
Look forward to reading your thinking.
Seems like he should play
Yep, after I posted, I saw he was back in training.
Fingers crossed then.
Thanks.
I explained in the article!
Apologies, I shoudl have read all the text rather than just what was in bold font.
I will be bench boosting, I have 1FT & £1.1m ITB
Should I go Højlund > Jackson or White to a Chelsea defender?
Get jacko!
Thanks
There’s a joke going around saying that Arsenal are going to beat Utd 0-10. Exaggerated a tad, but I think the theory is right. Utd struggled against Burnley recently which says it all! (I’m an exasperated Utd fan – please just make this season end..!!)
I like the Jackson move, but think you should keep White (he’s got a good match next week too).
They always play well against Arsenal though and seem to up their game for the bigger teams
I am going for Jackson, I hope it’s White that gets those 10 goals!
0 FT and 1.8 ITB
Already used the FT to replace Muniz with Jackson. Going -8 to make it full house and presuming that Dubravka plays.
Kelleher and Saliba out for either Dalot/Vicario or Romero/Onana?
I would keep Saliba tbh, we have a pretty similar team, I don’t think taking Saliba out is worth a -4pts.
I had a rotten seson so it won’t make much difference -8 and prepared to gamble.
