Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 26

Fantasy Football FF247 Team‘You’re s**t and you know you are, you’re s**t and you know are’ was heard echoing around the streets near to the FF247 offices as we arrived for work on Monday morning. Who was singing it? We’re not sure, but we have our suspicions! As you’ve probably guessed or in all likelihood you’ve come to assume at this stage we got our customary red arrow, our 13th of the season. GW25 saw us pick up 58pts which gave us a GW ranking of 1,758,718. The good news is that we’re still inside the top 1m with an OR of 997,243. Things are bad when we consider that to be good news!

GW25 in summary – It was s**t, that about sums it up. You want the gory details? Ok so, but it ain’t pretty! Wayne ‘I no longer know how to keep a clean sheet’ Hennessy conceded after just 13 minutes, at least he didn’t try to get our hopes up. Our defence didn’t do too badly as we garnered two clean sheets from a possible three thanks to van Dijk & Bellerin. Our midfield wasn’t bad either as they combined for two goals & two assists. Unfortunately though it was Mahrez & Ozil who did most of the damage and them being the two most popular midfielders they might as well not have bothered for all the good it did. We’re not bitter though and at least they performed unlike Dimitri Payet who once again did diddly squat. And so to the forwards who were something of a disappointment. By all accounts our captain Harry Kane had quite a good game and was rather unlucky not to find himself on the scoresheet. Unfortunately Harry we didn’t pick you to have a good game, we picked you to score. Granted Sergio Aguero did find the back of the net but when you pay over £13m for a player you really do expect more. Jamie Vardy also failed to score this week but he’s done more than enough for us over the course of the season.

Transfer decision for GW26 Sold Olsson, Bought Wollscheid

No your eyes do not deceive you. In what can only be described as the most boring transfer we’ve made this season and we’ve made a few, we have sold Jonas Olsson and bought Philipp Wollscheid. When we held our transfer meeting last night we had in fact agreed on a much more exciting & radical transfer…we were going to sell Aguero and buy Costa. However we decided to wait until after today’s press conferences before pulling the trigger. The news that David Silva is fit for City coupled with Costa’s broken nose forced us to shelve that transfer.
So why sell Olsson? Well West Brom haven’t exactly been solid at the back in recent times and with a number of tough fixtures on the horizon we’ve decided that now is the right time to ship out the Swede. With Stoke having kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games and conceding 15 in that period, you’re probably wondering why we’ve replaced him with Wollscheid. With Ryan Shawcross due to return in GW27 we’re banking on him adding some much needed solidity to the Stoke defence. The main reason however is that as things currently stand Stoke are one of only four teams guaranteed to play in GW30. In essence this transfer has been made with one eye on the future. We should also add that we had 2 free transfers so we thought better to “use than lose” and we will again have 2 free transfers for GW27 and beyond.

Captain – Sergio Aguero

We’ve turned into a fickle bunch in these parts. Instead of selling Sergio Aguero this week we have instead decided to hand him the captain’s armband. Given the fixtures this weekend there was no standout candidate for the armband, so when in doubt captain Aguero! He’s got a great track record at home against Spurs and City will be desperate to bounce back following last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Leicester.

Our vice-captain is Mesut Ozil

Hi all, would appreciate any advice I can get.
I’m currently chasing my leader who is 50 points away.
    My team is
    Butland, McCarthy
    Bellerin Dier Jagielka Fonte Evans
    Sanchez Payet Alli Mahrez Stanilas
    Kane Vardy Aguero

    His team is
    Ceck Hennessey
    Dann Toby Dawson Daniels Simpson
    Sanchez Payet Alli Mahrez Barklet
    Aguero Kane Ighalo

Should I continue to play it safe or start changing something? I was thinking of
    1) Kane to Costa (due to his fixtures but this move feels wrong)
    2) Stanilas to Antonio and I will play AOA this week and then Antonio will play again next week when Aguero blanks
    3) Hold

What do you guys reckon? Pancho suggested I go with 2 and I feel that also. Any more ideas before I transfer?
