Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 31
We hoped for a late surge to waht has been a disappointing season up to a couple of weeks ago and it looks like we’re on the right tracks. We smaches the average again this week as we scored 78pts vs an average of just 35pts – our score gave us a weekly ranking of 16,450 and lifted us 250k places in the overall ranking from 714,651 to a season’s best 463,763. Wonders will never cease.
Our week, like many other teams was made by the choice of Kane as captain instead of Aguero who blanked at Norwich in the opening game of the week. Sadly Kane missed a few chances to add to his tally, but maybe we are being a tad greedy here. The scoring outside of Kane was solid all throughout the team – Lloris kept a clean sheet at Villa, while Kompany add maximum bonus points to his cs and Morgan collected another shut out on Monday vs Newcastle. The purchase of Siggy paid immediate dividends with a nine point haul at Bournemouth while Alli returned two assists for Kane. Vardy’s assist on Monday was a nice little bonus, though his form is a concern.
With all but one of the rearranged fixtures now announced and with a Wildcard, Bench Boost, Triple Captain and All Out Attack chips still in our pocket we envisage a further rise up the rankings in the last few weeks of the season.
Transfer decision for GW31 – Sold Kompany, Bought Williams
At this stage we should point out that we have already made the decision to play our wildcard in GW33 and therefore our transfers for this week and next will be focused on the short term. Why are we playing our wildcard in GW33? Without going into a huge amount of detail we simply feel that we can get the most out of it by playing it ahead of DGW34. At present we have four players whose teams feature in DGW34 and two of those are Kompany and Wayne Hennessy, so without taking a significant amount of hits we will struggle to field enough doublers. Therefore it was a relatively easy decision to activate our wildcard in GW33.
Back to this week’s transfer. With the Belgian gaffer suggesting Kompany is set to miss 4-6 weeks due to a another calf injury the decision as to who to sell this week had been made for us. The decision as to who to replace him with was also quite easy. Williams was suggested, Williams was agreed upon and therefore Williams has been chosen. With a game against Villa this weekend there is every opportunity for Williams to pick up a clean sheet which typically leads to a few bonus points and with a game against Stoke next week we feel that back to back clean sheets are not out of the question!

Captain – Harry Kane
He didn’t let us down last week and we’re banking on him doing the business yet again this week. He’s made a habit of picking up his points in clusters this season and with three goals in his last two games we’re hoping that this cluster lasts for a minimum of three games. Bournemouth have been in great form of late but they have still conceded 10 in their last eight games.
Our vice-captain is Gylfi Siggursdon
Should Kane fail to take to the pitch on Sunday afternoon we’re safe in the knowledge that Siggy can step up to the plate having put Villa to the sword on Saturday afternoon!

I see nobody responded on my typed out team from yesterday. I guess that worked for me last week when I had to make a Cappo decision. Still would like to hear your opinion.>.< Got 1 ft, did Vardy to Lukaku (which is an odd transfer I know but I am eying to get DGW players for GW34, not wildcarding, I think.
Hi Raz – haven’t considered who, but thoughts on bringing in a defender? Perhaps even Janmatt?
I would have suggested Kompany > Bellerin, but since you already did your transfer, I think it does not matter. Heard Kompany was out for a month, so not worth keeping him on the bench.
Yeah agree with B, Kompany to Bellend or Kos.
Cookie, who is the best City defender to get? Will replace Toby next GW. I believe both Sagna and Clichy are rotation risks?
Also, would it be blasphemy to not have Kohli today against Pak?
B, no idea re City mate, thats why i held off this week hoping the picture becomes clearer after the intl break – ie one of them gets injured.
Kop has the same dilemna re Kohli – i already have him so i’m relaxed – his ownership prob makes him a must i guess.
I have 2 FT’s, but I didn’t see the point of doing that transfer just now. Arsenal will be decimated by Everton in a few hours.
Also, when fit, I’d pick Kos over Bellerin, I think. Close call though.
B, Cookie – would you expect a CS from Arsenal today? I wouldnt and he has brought in Lukaku which suggests he thinks likewise
I’d be surprised if Everton didn’t score to be honest hence i have benched Kos.
Morning all! I’m chasing a mini league by about 60 points but have a better chip and WC situation than the 3 above me. Bearing this in mind is it worth a punt on siggy cap as I can guarantee they will all pick Kane? Or should I just stay safe and hope I can unleash some devastation via chip and WC deployment? Also would you play Vardy over any of my current team?

Cheers Cookie, think I’ll stick with it and take a ‘risk’. Not playing Vardy troubles me but not playing any one of my mids would do the same! Ps appologise that Wij has let you down, he looked a lot more involved against Leicester and I’m hoping tomorrow he’ll be in the points for your sake and myself and the other 52k who’ll be watching with our hearts in our mouth come 1.30 tomorrow!
