Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 38
Oh Andy! Andy, Andy, Andy… You big donkey. You have no idea how many seasons you wrecked last week! It was all there on a plate. Swansea on holidays and resting players, Man United struggling to defend crosses, you on a hot streak, 6 goals in the previous 7 games. And you decide to lay an egg on the all important ‘triple captain’ week for us. Thanks. It’s not even like your team didn’t score, they got 4 over the piece. Even an assist would have been appreciated, but no. And now everyone’s going to sell you this week in a fit of rage and you’re going to score 2 aren’t you, we just know it! Andy aside, our ‘DGW’ side had 8 players playing twice which equated to 19 chances as such. We scored 84 which means that they averaged just 4.4 points each. When you put it like that it’s pretty poor. When we tell you that Patrick van Aanholt weighed in with over 20% of those points then that probably says it all really! We’ve not really seen many, if any, ‘monster’ scores though like we did in DGW34, with some approaching the 200 mark, so perhaps we escaped lightly. Our overall rank jumped up some 18k places to 121k. A far cry from where we expected and wanted to be but it is what it is and so let’s see if we can make one final push to crack that 100k mark this week…
Transfer decision for GW37 – Sold – Riyad Mahrez; Bought – Sadio Mane
We didn’t really need to do a transfer this week, for probably the first time this season, and so we just had a look around at the players available and their respective fixtures and said “who’s most likely to go off on one if the mood takes them?!”. The answer was Mane. The Saints are the current in form team, scoring freely, they’re at home and are playing a Palace side who will have more than one eye on next weeks FA Cup final, both in terms of psychology and actual team selection. Tadic was the other option as he’s been firing too but Mane tends to go off in bursts and if there’s goals around then he’s likely to be involved in the fun. Especially when there’s a transfer window pending and this is his last chance to showcase himself. Not that we are suggesting anything but there does seem to be a direct correlation between his output and them windows!
The team in full
The team pretty much picks itself. It’s always difficult to bench Patrick ‘get him because he once hit the post with a free-kick’ van Aanholt but basically if Carlsberg picked defences then this week they’d pick ours. We’ve had a last minute change with the Payet news but nothing too taxing as it simply means Lanzini takes his place in the 11. We’re pretty happy with that lot but we’ve all thought that a few times this season so let’s see what happens!
Captain – Alexis Sanchez
For whatever reason Arsenal have a tradition of suddenly turning on the style on the last day of the season and a home game against a very poor and very relegated Villa just feels like a perfect storm!
Our Vice-captain is Sergio Aguero
Good luck for this week from the FF247 Team Committee. We thank you for sticking with us in what has been a very trying season! Our first season of doing this saw us riding relatively high and we finished about 5k but this one has been a disaster from start to finish! Pretty much everything we touched turned to sh*t if we’re being honest! We are just glad that we aren’t alone in that though as it has been the same for a good many. We hope we kept you entertained along the way though as we are always nothing if not honest about our feelings!

Asking again cause I’m still undecided. I’m currently 23 points ahead of my mini- league opponent, I imagine he will take a few hits to try to catch up. Was thinking of a simple Payet out for Mane, would you take any hits to take out another player that may not start like PVA or should I just make the one transfer then shut up shop? Also with being ahead I should cap Sanchez yes? Thanks
rivals team: I imagine he will take hits for Coutinho, Payet and maybe one more
to add to this, would you start Lanzini or Iwobi??
Duthers
Do the Payet to Mane move
Then shut up shop, park the bus, sit back and win the league.
Thanks dude
Hey guys, assuming he’s fit to play (I realize he’s likely not) would you start Willian at home to Leicester or King away to Man United?
Willian for me. Here’s one for you, Iwobi or Lanzini? (to start)
Iwobi for me duthers. If he starts he’s always getting forward and looks dangerous. And playing Villa!
Why will Iowbi play when ArsenaL are at near full strength?
This is it!! Triple captain dilemma:Mane / Tadic / Long / Giroud / Hazard / Aguero ? Who do you reckon? Cheers!
Why no Sanchez……sanchez
Soz ?
Aguero if ahead
Hazard / Giroud if chasing
Haha, I know right? Sold Sanch for Hazard a few weeks back! Defo want him back but no can do! I’ll go with Aguero or Giroud then. Cheers, Bigpopz! Who you going with?
Payet owners read this

The West Ham Twitter account just showed a video of the coach arriving and the players exiting. No Payet…
Twitter news seems to be no Payet on the bus. I have cracked. -8 hit & Payet to Tadic
