Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 10
From the sublime to the ridiculous in just one gameweek – 105pts in GW8 became just 45pts in GW9. Average at best, could of been worse we guess, but disappointing nonetheless. The average score was only 38pts so maybe we are being harsh on ourselves. Our top scorer was the ever dependable Baines, who’s assist and 2bps compensated somewhat for the lack of a clean sheet. We did have clean sheets from Alderweireld and Taylor, while Fabregas assisted to also contribute 6pts. Our captain Aguero missed a few simple chances and arguably could of been sent off in City’s loss at West Ham, while Siggy was looking good for a half decent score until his manager transferred him out on 57mins as a precaution. Last week’s transfer, Pelle assisted for a 5pt return, but Tadic, Krul, Di Maria and Welbeck all underperformed. So 45pts, we actually climbed 8 places in the rankings to 671st place – so we shouldn’t be too down, it was just one of those weeks.
Transfer for GW10
We explained our rationale last week in selling Diego Costa and buying Graziano Pelle and suggested that our probable move this week would be to reverse that. After a week’s worth of speculation, reports and rumours, we can confirm that we have indeed:
sold Graziano Pelle and bought back Diego Costa
Despite wanting Costa back in the side for the visit of QPR, it was still a wrench to sell Pelle, who impressed again vs Stoke, assisted Mane for the goal and got himself is some great positions to score. However, Costa is Costa, Chelsea are Chelsea and indeed QPR are QPR!! We still have Saints attacking coverage in Tadic, so we feel justified in sticking to our plans re Costa.
We have decided to play Krul in goal at home to Liverpool – hopefully they can do an early game-week job on the Liverpool strikeforce.
At the back Alderweireld and Baines select themselves and joining them is Moore, who’s Leicester team host West Brom. It was a pretty tough call between him, Hutton (home to Spurs) and Taylor (away at Everton). A bit like having to choose which ugly girl to snog at a party – we had to choose one and we plumped with Moore.
The midfield and attack selects itself!
Captain
Unsurprisingly, we are captaining Costa. The QPR fixture is too good to ignore and we are not fooled by the cleansheet they kept at home to Villa on Monday. With Chelsea looking to get back to winning ways after dropping 2pts at Old Trafford, we feel Jose will want his side to put on a show and dispose of their West London rivals with ease.
Our vice captain is Sergio Aguero.
And in text format as promised –
Krul
Alderweireld, Moore, Baines
Di Maria, Fabregas, Sigurdsson, Tadic
Welbeck, Costa (c), Aguero (vc)
subs: Boyd, Hutton, Taylor (gk Mannone)

I’m trying to decide who to bench this week. I’ll play 3 from the following 6 players:
Rose (A – Aston Villa)
Moreno (A – Newcastle)
Wisdom (A – Leicester)
Sterling (A – Newcastle)
Jedinak (H – Sunderland)
Zaha (H – Sunderland)
Any thoughts on which 3 players to play?
Rose, Sterling and Zaha for me. But the defender one is tricky.
Interested you’d choose Zaha – are you confident he’ll play? He’s been too much in and out the team for my liking – I’ve been intending to get rid of him for a while but have always had more pressing transfers to make
He must be very frustrating to own. He did not play very well vs West Brom last week. I play him because I am a bit of a gambler, but you are right. He may not even start. Hoping they will get him one more run with their starting xi before they decide to bench him again. Playing one of the other guys is certainly the safer option.
Gone for Rose, Sterling and Moreno. I benched Jedinak last week and paid for it but going to do so again!
Who Would You Guys Bring In …..?
A – Chadli
B – Downing
C – Barkley
D. None of the above
out of those- barkley.
who much you got itb?
£1.9m ITB but that money is to bring in Costa in Gw 12 if he’s fit anyway thank i’ve was thinking of Bringing Barkley cheers !!
anytime- best out of those three
wanna bring him in myself, but can’t see him shifting out siggy anytime soon!!
3 reasonable fixtures coming up aswell!!
Good luck for the gw mate, may barkley score a hatty 😉
Chadli for me. Got two good fixtures ahead !
Sterling or Di Maria this week?
I wouldn’t bench either. If I had to pick one though I start Sterling this week. But it would be a coin toss.
Do you guys think Barkley will start vs Swansea ..?
Yes, I think so.
Yeah Jeet, I believe he will.
Ready to go??
Kept my transfer this week!
Looks good!
thanks mito, seems obvious but wanted to check- had 2 bad gw’s on the bounce!
Any thoughts on why the FF247 team are playing krul??
Team Look Great – Hope Diame doesn’t bite you in the bum !
thanks jeet, still having thoughts on whether to play siggy or diame?!?!?
last time i left siggy on the bench he scored points!!
That a tough decision I’ve would probably play Siggy over Diame – I’ve think Hull v Southampton might be a low scoring game !
Hazard or Welbeck – To Captain ….?
hazard for me jeet
Jeet – Hazard is my capt this week.
Looking forward to our matchup this week Jeet! – Lots of the same players, so could be a close one!
Good luck!
Welbeck – easier fixture. Burnley (sad to say) are pushovers at the mo, QPR aren’t
