Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 10
From the sublime to the ridiculous in just one gameweek – 105pts in GW8 became just 45pts in GW9. Average at best, could of been worse we guess, but disappointing nonetheless. The average score was only 38pts so maybe we are being harsh on ourselves. Our top scorer was the ever dependable Baines, who’s assist and 2bps compensated somewhat for the lack of a clean sheet. We did have clean sheets from Alderweireld and Taylor, while Fabregas assisted to also contribute 6pts. Our captain Aguero missed a few simple chances and arguably could of been sent off in City’s loss at West Ham, while Siggy was looking good for a half decent score until his manager transferred him out on 57mins as a precaution. Last week’s transfer, Pelle assisted for a 5pt return, but Tadic, Krul, Di Maria and Welbeck all underperformed. So 45pts, we actually climbed 8 places in the rankings to 671st place – so we shouldn’t be too down, it was just one of those weeks.
Transfer for GW10
We explained our rationale last week in selling Diego Costa and buying Graziano Pelle and suggested that our probable move this week would be to reverse that. After a week’s worth of speculation, reports and rumours, we can confirm that we have indeed:
sold Graziano Pelle and bought back Diego Costa
Despite wanting Costa back in the side for the visit of QPR, it was still a wrench to sell Pelle, who impressed again vs Stoke, assisted Mane for the goal and got himself is some great positions to score. However, Costa is Costa, Chelsea are Chelsea and indeed QPR are QPR!! We still have Saints attacking coverage in Tadic, so we feel justified in sticking to our plans re Costa.
We have decided to play Krul in goal at home to Liverpool – hopefully they can do an early game-week job on the Liverpool strikeforce.
At the back Alderweireld and Baines select themselves and joining them is Moore, who’s Leicester team host West Brom. It was a pretty tough call between him, Hutton (home to Spurs) and Taylor (away at Everton). A bit like having to choose which ugly girl to snog at a party – we had to choose one and we plumped with Moore.
The midfield and attack selects itself!
Captain
Unsurprisingly, we are captaining Costa. The QPR fixture is too good to ignore and we are not fooled by the cleansheet they kept at home to Villa on Monday. With Chelsea looking to get back to winning ways after dropping 2pts at Old Trafford, we feel Jose will want his side to put on a show and dispose of their West London rivals with ease.
Our vice captain is Sergio Aguero.
And in text format as promised –
Krul
Alderweireld, Moore, Baines
Di Maria, Fabregas, Sigurdsson, Tadic
Welbeck, Costa (c), Aguero (vc)
subs: Boyd, Hutton, Taylor (gk Mannone)

Please Vote – Fantasy Football Blog Awards
As you may have noticed (!) we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog award (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. Voting closes in exactly one week and it’s looking a close run thing so every last vote counts at this stage. If you could take just 2 minutes to vote via one of the links on the left here it would be massively appreciated. We would love nothing more than to bring home an award for you all!

I’m captaining Frazier Campbell….someone talk me out of it.
What’s your team?
bego moore taylor baines sterling fab siggy angel aguero pelle campbell
i need something to get me up the rankings. i need a gamble!
I do not think you need to gamble to that extent, and we are not halfway into the season. Your gamble, which I do not think will come off, will leave you in an even worse position next week?
Take a calmer approach
Haha, Campbell’s ownership is only 1.8% so the way I see it is that any points he scores are huge points gained on the rest of the field without captaining him. Could be a great gamble but unnecessary in my opinion.
i just cant see sergio or pelle doing great and palace home to sunderland seems pretty tempting.
Now i feel less crazy 😉 (see below)
All i can say is go with your gut…….
Sunderland have surely tightened up their defence no?
Morning guys :p
More and more tempted to captain welbeck….
did the same in gw5 and it really worked out for me.. need something to climb up the rankings!!
Arsenal – Burnley = 0-0
thats what scares me
They managed to keep a CS versus United. Last few GW’s they’re more focussed on scoring though which makes them concede 3/4 goals per game. So CS potential quite low. 😉
0:0 vs mufc was at home. Away yes they’ve also managed a 0:0, but that was at Palace. Arsenal haven’t been on top form at home, but they’ve dropped enough points there not to be complacent. I’m far more sure of an Arsenal win than of a Chelsea one.
Hey people, is Henderson worth keeping? If not, who can I get for 7.2 if I transfer him out?
Cheers
I’d say Sigurdsson is the obvious choice but Swansea don’t have a great run of fixtures; beyond that, Barkley might be worth a look (though he is still coming back to fitness) or Mane (though, again, he is carrying a knock apparently). Do you have a cheap midfielder already or could you go for a Cork or Boyd for 4.4m and upgrade somewhere else?
Who do you have Fish? I’d be looking at Barkley, Chadli, etc. just depends who you have
Here is my team
Mane is probably the best sub 7.0 mid for me Fish, but he’s at 75% likelihood for now so probably hang onto Henderson for this GW just in case.
I would get rid of Hendo. And I would look of getting in one of Barkley, Mane or Chadli.
From there it is a tough call. If Mane wasn’t under an injury cloud, I would say for you to get him (I just don’t want to have my head bitten of if he misses hahaha) while Chadli’s good draw is about to end in a couple of weeks while Barkley has a good run for the next 11 or so GW’s. So, I would go Barkley.
Hope this helps Good luck for this week
Btw, great team! The fact that you’ve manage to fit in Baines, Fab, Di Maria, Aguero, Costa and Pelle in with some cash left without hurting the rest of your team too much is quite impressive!
Why is Kun dropping like crazy? People crazy? Kun and Di Maria going down tomorrow. People really have no f-ing clue. Geezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
That’s crazy Raz….. What are people doing!?!?! I’m honestly hoping Aguero goes down, I want to get him next week for QPR and every 0.1mil may make the difference 😉
He will go down, no worries. 😉
Now is about the most misleading time of the week to look at projected price changes! People are making late changes for GW10, and once the deadline has passed the hour-by-hour trends which FFFix uses will change hugely.
So don’t look then!!!
They’re the closest to being spot on as you can get. Yeah it changes at times but if you look at the site you know where your players are at, somewhat. When I look at any other site they’re usually 50 percent off of the target. So FFF is good enough for me and they will only get better.
Also, things can change during a day. Yesterday for instance Costa was being shipped out until the press conference and people were getting him like crazy. Some people noticed much later that night and made the transfer late last night which might him rise to 10.9m. I think they’re doing a good job.
Morning all!
I trust you’re keeping well! I couldn’t trouble you for a last minute RMT, could I?
Cheers!
That team doesn’t need a RMT. >.<
Again, not sure how often I need to tell you kids this. Color schemes are all off again.
Swirly, morning – looks very strong mate – only Baines you are missing there but would need a downgrade and a hit. Rest looks great mate.
Nice tips Yoda
Skin color of Yoda is green not blue.
Maybe he’s choking on a cookie..
Looking very strong that team; personally I’ve cut my losses on Sterling (which I am sure I will regret), so my only suggestion might be to swap him for Ramsey if you still have an FT. Otherwise I think you are just bragging and know you have a solid line-up
Haha! I promise it’s not a brag – genuinely thought to check as you guys always have great advice Cheers Jimmyb, Hazardeden, Cookie and Raz! Much appreciated – hope you have an awesome gameweek.
OCD= swap wanyama and hutton 😉
As everyone says, looks awesome
If sterling doesn’t produce, id say it gives you a good platform for baines/coleman!!
Morning morning! Half an hour’s worth of RMTs and tips coming your way, lucky people 😛
