Live Match Chat Game-week 38 – FPL Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 33Welcome to the final Live Match Chat of the season. Well there isn’t a whole lot left to play for in the league itself, unless Man City have a massive catastrophe and that’s not likely to happen is it. Is It? Surely not… There will doubtless be an awful lot left to play for in fantasy terms though as many managers look to seal victory in their mini-leagues or indeed salvage an unlikely win from an impossible situation. Whatever your scenario this week be sure to keep us updated on the drama as it unfolds. Today is unique in the PL calendar as all the games are played at 3pm for the only time in the season so expect break-neck updates and dreams both realised and shattered in seconds. This could be a stressful one!

FF247 would like to thank every single fantasy manager who has contributed to this thread throughout the season. We have thoroughly enjoyed your posts on your joys, your frustrations, your elation and your dismay. If you watched it unfold from afar then we thank you too and would encourage you to get involved. We won’t bite, we promise. Well some may, but hey that’s part of the fun….

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points and the mini-league dramas right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW38 from all at FF247!

Pellegrini…his manner and conduct has made a refreshing change from mourinhos mind games. Top man. Top manager
Player of the season Yaya for me too.

Tony Pulis if Liverpool don’t win the title.
      Brendan Rodgers if they do.

      • Calvin Clyne says:

+1. For me Pellegrini has just been handed too much on a plate.

        • jamesimmo says:

You might be right but the way Pelli waited to shake every Liverpool player’s hands after *the* game was top draw.

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Agreed. Not questioning the man’s character at all, he’s a class act. Mourinho has pissed me off no end this season and could learn a thing or ten from Pellegrini.

He acquired a top class squad that had won the league 2 seasons prior though, whereas Pulis took over bottom at the end of Nov and will finish 11th, which I believe is a record. And look at what Rodgers has done – in the doldrums when he took over, and I think finished 7th last year. The step up from him and his team has been phenomenal. Both Pulis and Rodgers are more deserving I think.

        • jamesimmo says:

I agree with you entirely. Mourinho I despise! No class. Really don’t think he’s the ‘Special One’ now either, I mean, he’s losing the dressing like at Madrid all over again! Hazard, Oscar, Cole…

Would be nice to see Pulis win it but Rodgers will I expect.

For success, conduct, and sportsmanship: Pelligrini

      For overall team management: Pulis

      For player management: Rodgers

I’d have to say Pellegrini is deserved but overall Rodgers should get it…

      Raziel says:

Pellegrini will probably win it and he deserves it. One of the classiest managers to ever win the EPL.

I think Fergie was a great manager but in reality I think he was/is a bit of an arse, same could be said about Wenger, Mourinho, Roberto Mancini. Don’t know Carlo Ancelotti well enough to make a statement (he looks like a mobster though :P).

Anyway, if I had to pick from the last 20 years Pellegrini is probably the most likeable guys out of all. For some reason that’s relevant to me, lol. Noticed, since the First DIvision/EPL started it has been won 40 times by a Scottish Manager. Since the EPL was created it has been won by a Scottish manager 14 times, 13 times by Ferguson, 1 time by Dalglish. NO ENGLISH MANAGER HAS WON THE EPL SINCE IT WAS FOUNDED IN 1992. WTF??????????????

Having serious reservations about not captaining Sturridge…
