Fantasy Football Live Match Chat DGW34
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat DGW34. Its double time!! A huge week of footy awaits, 14 games, starting on Saturday and with at least one game each day until we finish on Thursday. Wow. We kick off Saturday lunchtime with a date on the south coast as FA Cup semi-finalists Southampton and Chelsea have a warm-up for their Wembley date next week. Just four 3pm matches follow as Burnley host Leicester, Brighton go up to Palace, Huddersfield welcome Watford and Swansea and Everton meet at the Liberty. The first evening match, yes there are two, this week is that good(!) sees Liverpool host Bournemouth before the main event sees Wembley welcome Man City as they play Spurs. Don’t book any plans for Saturday evening!
Sunday is a calmer affair – Arsenal travel up to Newcastle before Man Utd enjoy shooting practice at West Brom.
Monday evening sees a night under the lights at West Ham. That used to be intimidating until they moved house. Stoke are the visitors and Arnie gets a go at his former employers.
Midweek sees the 2nd game for our double game-weekers. We start Tuesday as Spurs venture down to Brighton.
Wednesday sees Man Utd also take a trip to the south coast, to Bournemouth before we finish on Thursday with our last two matches as Burnley host Chelsea and Leicester welcome the hapless Southampton.
What’s not to like eh? Go well.

Burnley Team News for tomorrow night –
Duche confirms that neither Ben Mee and Scott Arfield will make the squad for the game against Chelsea.
Matt
Heaton also looks set to continue on the bench.
Jon Walters continues to gain fitness after his knee surgery
Cookie
Chelsea – looks like Marcos Alonso misses DGW35 part deux as Conte confirms Emerson Palmeiri will start at Burnley.
Mr Bean
Unbelievable – gets in TOTS and this is how he’s rewarded 😉
Cookie
when you have Walker and Alonso in your TOTS, the boss ain’t that bothered about defending!!
KI
On 77 points, with 9 players still to come. Closing on a ML leader. Thanks to everyone on the list for the good talk, and banter, especially about strengths and weaknesses.
On a FH as well. I really appreciate Init’s contingent planning. Anyone an idea when the Pool lineup might be announced (unofficially, of course). I’ve got to get up far too early in eastern Canada if it’s to be Saturday morning.
Cookie
Hey KI, it could be Friday night or Saturday morning. No real way of knowing.
Great score thus far.
KI
Thanks, Cookie. I’ll be sure to watch Friday night, and sigh, I’ll set a Saturday alarm if needs be.
Eagle
On a FH for blank GW35. Provided that my Liverpoool players play, does my team look g2g? Should i change Pickford to a £5.0 keeper Butland/Pope? Should I somehow include an Arsenal defender in there or is there defense no to be trusted? I had made this draft on Saturday as soon as i activated my FH. Are there any changes I should make?
Cookie
Eagle, I like your team – as you have identified you need a bit of luck re Liverpool and City but saying that you have good cover on the bench.
Pickford vs Butland is quite close – I like Butland, he generally makes plenty of saves and scores well, but when I looked at Pickford, he is quite similar.
My personal preference remains Butland given that Stoke have something to play for, but there’s really not much in it…..
Eagle
Thanks Cookie. I would have liked Pickford but i want Baines in there so not too keen on doubling up on EVE defense. Butland looks interesting but Stoke rarely keep clean sheets, in fact they have only kept 5 all season. Was considering finding an extra 0.3 to bring in Cech instead but i’m not so sure its worth the hassle for Arsenal defense.
Just like a few folks on here, i’m on a different time zone (7 hours behind UK) so I would have to get up very early around 4am to gather info on the leaked pool lineup and make changes accordingly. It is a sacrifice worth making, as I would gain advantage over my ML rivals who don’t have a clue if their Pool players will be rested. (insert evil laugh here :satansmoking: )
Cookie
Am I the only one who hopes their line-up isn’t leaked?!!
Cookie
Sorry, to answer your question, I would go Butland.
I don’t trust Arsenal and the only one I would want is Aubameyang.
Smash10
You could downgrade Hart to a 3.9 and put Chambers in there for Arsenal coverage instead of Yedlin
Eagle
Hey Smash how are you doing bud? Hope you are ok.
I can definitely do those moves that you mentioned. You reckon Chambers starts?
Smash10
Yeah I’m alright on the mend. Yeah I reckon he does he’s started 4 of the last 5. Expecting Arsenal to rest pretty much everyone so I think he plays either at CB or RB. You have cover anyway
Eagle
Ok Cheers! Thanks Smash.
Cookie
Oh dear…..
Smash10
Christ this is bad
Brookyboy
Gonna be a meltdown or two if thats true ! Ha ha Come on Lingard !
FC Sanchez
:shake:  :poop:
Eagle
So that would mean no Smalling and Lukaku for me. At least i didnt TC Lukaku this GW.
Let’s wait and see the official team sheet in about 30 minutes time.
Cookie
Apparently DDG may get a rest too
Brookyboy
I’m past caring !
Mr Bean
He didn’t get rested at all last year did he?
Or did Romero play all the Europa league games?
Cookie
Romero played Europa & FA Cup but is now injured.
Mr Bean
That is absolutely beautiful for my 3 players versus my ML opponents teams.
On the other hand, I won’t expect much from any of them with that team 😀
Matt
Serious!
Cookie
Its what the article says – don’t shoot the messenger!
We’ll find out officially in 10mins.
HL****** [Dr. Hannibal Lecter]
If this is true, the ONLY thing that can save my gw is Lingard to score a hattie !!
