Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 12 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW12 is live! And we are off with another one of those lovable lunch time fixtures. If you enjoy laughing at others, then you are in for a treat when Bournemouth welcome Newcastle for what promises to be a display of WTF defending. That horror show is followed by five 3pm fixtures. Leicester go on the attack vs a stubborn Watford, the Canaries and Swans face off in a battle of two struggling sides. In other action a rejuvenated Sunderland side 😉 in all likelihood wil take another rough pounding this time at the hands of Southampton. The Hammers will look to rebound from the previous game-week when Everton had a bye week (played Sunderland) come in for a visit. In what promises to be most exciting game of the weekend we see the best and second best team at keeping clean sheets square off, when the potent Manchester United (scoreless in 3 of the last 4) take on the offensively challenged Baggies, it should be yawns galore. In the last of the Saturday fixtures, Jose “Caesar” Mourinho will be watching his back as his eleven senators take on Stoke City who has neither allowed or scored more than 2 goals in a game…well probably in part because they hadn’t played Chelsea yet.

Sunday gives us three fixtures. Manchester City go on the attack when they face Aston Villa. Should be like watching a ferocious lion attack a deer, a baby one. Arsenal and Spurs match up in what on paper looks like a great derby. The Gunners have won 7 of their last 8 and Spurs haven’t lost since GW1. In the last fixture of the game-week, we see Liverpool looking to continue from where they left off vs Chelsea when a struggling Palace side pays them a visit.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

In the top 100k again. FFS, someone in my Dutch mini-league managed a f-ing score of 74 today though. *SHITE* Coutinho and Ozil helped him out. Cocksuckers. >.<

Ozil captain din’t turn out too bad in the end! No one thought I was crazier than me lol
gotta sort out my defence tho – Cedric cost me like a possible 8 points or something this week :/ hopefully belerin should be back for the next game.
Very happy with butland too! Two double figure returns in a row! Captaincy material maybe? haha
Shame tho as it could have been a great week if it wasn’t for my defence…
Considering the circumstances tho can’t be disappointed with 54 points. Just one of those mediocre weeks really all round

Hey up Bob my old friend! How’s tricks, all well over there? Great call on Ozil!

      • billisBob says:

        Hey innit how’re you doing?
Everything alright overall, just a whole ton of homework. Had a break from weekend past papers this week and hence the extra free time. It is exam year so can’t really expect much else tbh.

Yeah I was a bit nervy with the call and if it wasn’t for me being so annoyed at Barkley for not getting involved in the 6 vs sunderland he probably wouldn’t be in my team! Barkley played the full 90 and got nothing so even with the fixtures it seemed the right move to let him go. Keeping my eye on delofeu and of course Lukaku tho.
Just sorta had a gut feeling about Ozil doing well and wan’t feeling it with the other picks. But you win some and you loose some with the risky picks – sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesnt. Gut feeling does seem to work a lot of the time though hahaha

Strange week though – a lot of people in my minileague got like 3 6+ pointers from their defenders or had Lukaku so similar scores all round. A lot of very similar midfielder tho. I guess that’s part of the thinking behind it all – gotta do something different to gain ground.

Shame about Pelle for your team! Should be doing something against sunderland shouldn’t he!!

        • inittowinit says:

Shame about Pelle? Same about my team in general more like!!! smile Hey ho, onwards and upwards. Deulofeu is defo one to watch. He’s always been an exciting talent but always been inconsistent both with performances and fitness but he’s looking the part now finally having strung together a decent run of games. Might bring him in for Payet if he’s confirmed out for a bit.

        • billisBob says:

Yeah it’s just one of those weeks really. Rubbish when they come about but they do for everyone don’t they?

Yeah inconsistent if definitely the word for what he’s been. He’s sorta in and out of the team a bit but he’s certainly talented and the competition for places should spur him on i guess. There’s a few options for who to bring in for Payet but for a bit of Everton cover at the price seems good! And he contributes to goal fests. Also that’s assuming Payet’s out – he’s been so consistent this season hasn’t he! Got nothing for me tho since I only bought him two weeks ago lol. Everton are doing alright this season though! Did well in the transfer market to hold on to Stones and bring back Delufeu. Could be different for them entirely but the style of football’s good and overall so are the results!

Getting tired of Cedric too, or more Koeman for not picking him!
Oh and you sure you want a Chelsea player in your team? hahah

58 pts this gw, defensive coverage saved me with triple 8 laugh
Would like to ask when players prices will be updated?
    Thanks

Yeah defo a good score for this week!
If I remember correctly I think it’s at midnight but I’m not sure. Have’t really been keeping up with the price changes too much this season.

You had enough of Barkley yet lol? One return over 3 in his last 7 isn’t great. He always looks involved and decent fixtures ahead but not enough fantasy returns for me. Want him to do well being young and English but I guess that’s partly why I at least kept with him for so long!

Good defence and Pelle will come good again soon I’m sure.

      • Tomas says:

Yes Barkley is pain in the ass right now, good fixtures, but doesn’t bring any points, and I’m getting rid of Pelle and buying Lukaku, wanted to do this move this gw, but didn’t want to get a hit, hopefully he won’t stop scoring after brake smile

Not gonna do it right now obvs but is Smalling a transfer worth doing?

8 clean sheets already? and when ever they get one he seems to get bonus points aswell.

    Got 37 points.
    So far under average.

For the first time in 10 years, a GW has passed without me watching even 1 EPL match (not even the highlights). Mountain climbing for those who need to know. And it feels like crap.
Have now read the 10 pages of comments on this topic and I really feel like I’ve not missed a thing. Great bunch all of you.
I have a very good team (on paper) that is doing bupkis on FPL.
We all know what the template team looks like right now, how similar should one get to the template team to maximise on both highly owned players and differentials?
Using FantasyFootballFix I have 7/15, how many is too many because am beginning to think 7/15 is too many

PS: Thanks Initt (and the FF247 team, tell us when to vote)

If you find out how many too many is. . . . . let us know won’t you? smile I have no idea. I don’t look at other teams or ownership rates personally. If I see a good fantasy player I’ll buy him (unless I have other issues – still no Mahrez believe it or not!) and if I’m between two players, I’ll let my instinct decide which, not how many people own him.

An unfounded guess but I would say 7 is maybe even on the side of too few. I think only a couple (starting players) as ‘differentials’ would do. You need the core players as the leaders in the game will have them, rest assured of that.

      • RedPaddy says:

Haha thanks GP. Well I shall begin an experiment using FantasyFootballFix (FFF) which shall try to measure this using my team. My team (7/15), control (0/15 just use the next best owned to make a team), high (11/15) all vs template team according to FFF over 5 GWs and publish results here. Just gotta find out, thankfully there’s 2 weeks to be bored enough to do that
