Devil, I would be more worried about Chambers than Azpi. With Jose saying there will be rotation over Christmas I think the sensible thing is to hold and accept the days he doesn’t play. I think he’ll play the majority though – and don’t forget Azpi can play right back when Ivan is rested and also if/when Ivan covers Cahill and/or Terry in the middle.
I assume Chambers will play cb with Mert while Kos is out – Chambers may be a medium term risk though if and when Kos and Mert are both fit.
So what do u think will be better Siggy to Eriksen or Chambers to Neil Taylor/Zaba.
Devil, Siggy to Eriksen for me. Less risk. Zabaleta would be nice too, if you can guarantee his gametime.
Zaba got his rest didnt he??Eriksen has a cup game so have to wait i guess.
But why get rid of Siggy?? He’s a nailed-on starter, and part of most of Swansea’s attacks. If getting rid of Costa for someone cheaper (Giroud/Bony, say) then you can afford to upgrade Boyd to Eriksen/Silva, no? Or go even cheaper for the striker and upgrade Boyd to Fabregas!

I’ve not been impressed with Siggy for a while. Yes he plays high up the pitch but one goal and two assists in nine matches surely allows us to ask the question? He is in the same price range as Downing, while many can make the small upgrade to an Eriksen, Nasri or Silva. Siggy comes at the bottom of that list for me.
I think Swansea are an average side to be honest…..and Bony is offski soon.

I might’ve considered the transfer were it not for the fact WHU have Chelsea and Arsenal at the end of the year. Whereas Swansea have Villa and Pool.
Haven’t you seen Bony yesterday by the way? He was the first on my list to go but he was so terribly awesome. Superb runs. Very unlucky he just got 1 goal.
fair enough, be boring if we all thought the same. Swansea do have nice fixtures, though three of the next four away and Siggy hasn’t scored or assisted away from home since GW1.
I agree cookie i took siggy out a few weeks ago,then like a dick brought him back after his free kick,instead of Eriksen when di maria got injured.He’s gonna sit on my bench this week.
Haven’t watched the WHU game. How was Sakho? Sort of sad I have him and not Austin.

Bony was very good Raz, just a shame he doesn’t have a better midfield supplying him. Or a decent partner to play alongside. Liverpool should sign him.
Getting more and more confused.Thinking of doing rooney/costa to giroud and Boyd to eriksen.If i do so don’t know how will i choose between them every gw.

devil, I’d go the cheap route and get Sakho to afford an upgrade from Boyd to Fabregas or if you prefer ADM. I’d also switch from Rooney to Bony/Giroud to strengthen defence. Ok I admit I don’t rate expensive strikers (except maybe Aguero, when fit), but I did ok this GW at least
I made my transfers early this week in order to beat price rises, I hope it pays off as I’ve been slipping badly the last couple of weeks. Is my team looking good for this week or would you change any of the subs/captains? Thanks.
Looks good to me igy. Capo is your choice, I wouldn’t want to take you away from your gut choice.

65 with Baines left to play, and managed to move upto the 4k mark.
My team is lacking balance, they basically all play at home on the same gameweek, which is poor. So that needs addressing. Also, was wanting to bring in some City coverage, but just can’t seem to decide, was looking at Silva but he has nobody of worth to set up, whilst Nasri has abit of form but we all know how I consistent he is at City.
I’ve got about 6mill in the bank so going to spend it all upto the Jan wildcard and rearrange at that time!
Shades, it’s Silva for me sir – he is the class act in the side without Kun there and the fact that Kun is missing means Silva should be playing very high up the pitch. Especially when you see their fixtures also. Unfortunately I already have Yaya!

Your team looks good. I wouldnt be too fussy about home or away. Its more the player and form that count. Some City coverage is a must for their festive fixtures. Obvious one is YYT or Hart. I went with Silva and crossedmy fingers!
Cookie, you’re bang on regarding Silva and I reckon I will go with him. Was contemplating Eriksen, but Spurs have a midweek league cup game, whilst Man City have a week off. Ideally I wanted YY to get a yellow this week to make it an easier decision haha.

What are peoples thought’s on City defenders? I’m thinking of buying one of them this GW, but i’m also worried about game time for all of them. I cant afford Joe Hart so my options are basically Clichy, Mangala and Zabaleta. Leaning toward Zabaleta just now. Cheers :thumbup:

Indeed, we’ve all had enough of injuries/suspensions recently! A clean slate would be nice. I think i’ll go with Zabaleta over Mangala, the latter burned me badly earlier in the season, i still haven’t forgiven him
