Question : How does -8 for transfers work? Are they done at the start of the gw or after the gw is finished it is affected?

So how has everyone’s game week gone so far? With Payet on the bench and Lukaku as Capt it ain’t started too well. Oh well, 9 players to go

Morning guys, need to get rid of Souare, which defender is best team to get from? Chelsea, Utd, Southampton??

Hey Matt, pretty hard to argue against Southampton’s defense right now. Chelsea have some decent games coming up as well. I picked up Azpi before this weekend because I already have Van Dijk and they both did well. Azpi would have been on 10 points if it wasn’t for that late Newcastle goal, but he still had an assist and a respectable 5 points. Van Dijk got all 3 BPS and a clean sheet. I’d go for one of them.

Get Van Djik. 3 good GWs in the next 4 GWs.

Good morning fellas, how’s it going? We had a rough night where I live, it’s -15 degrees fahrenheit (-26 celsius) and the power’s been out for about 8 hours. I was just about to start transferring the food from the fridge and freezer to the outside deck and getting ready to listen to the first match on the radio in my car. laugh

Luckily the crisis is over and the electricity and heat just came back on! Ended up on 34 points yesterday with Alli, Mahrez, Ozil, Kane and Aguero (c) to play today. Payet and Van Dijk came up big for me, DDG not so much! How did you do?

Hey Red, sounds like fun right there!! Haha

Finished up on 30 with Payet (c) really helping and Souare not!! Have 7 left to play so I’m hoping to double this score.

      • RedVT says:

Nice shooting Matt. I totally bottled it with Payet- had the armband on him all week and switched to Aguero late Friday night because of his Sunday fixture. Still, most of the guys in my ML don’t have Payet so he did me well. Good luck today, hope the points keep rolling in! smile

        • MattX says:

Unlucky Red but at least it still worked out. The people in front of me all had Payet but none as cap so I’ve really caught up now. Good luck today mate.

Hey, Red. -17*c here in PA mate though can’t imagine not having power on top of that. Hope you and the fam were alright.

As for this GW, not too shabby here either w/ pretty much the same team as you. Thought about getting in Costa and capping him but hearing about his broken nose and face mask, decided against it! Argh! What are you gonna do about De Gea?

      • RedVT says:

Hey Sanchez, we’re all good, thanks. The boy actually slept through it all so that was good. And we’ve got family near by so we could have headed there and camped out by the wood stove if things got really bad!

Not sure what to do about DDG, and my backup keeper is Myhill so I’m painted into a corner with him. Don’t really want to waste a transfer on it so I’ll probably just suck it up and keep playing him until I play my WC or have a week where there’s nothing else to do. Next moves will be bringing in Vardy and Fuchs for their nice run of matches coming up.

        • FC Sanchez says:

Good to hear everyone was alright mate. Remember similar situations w/ the cold, snow, and power outages living in MN. Man, the wind chill was brutal sometimes also!

Yeah, triple Leceister might not be a bad idea. I might triple up on Soto defenders also as I need to make up a ton of ground! Haha.
