Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 26 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
GW26 is live! After days of deliberation your transfers are done and your captain is picked. So now it is time to sit back and watch the points roll in, hopefully. Our main man T.J. should have the line-ups with you soon, to get the GW going. Saturday sees no lunchtime action as we have six games starting at 3pm. Stoke pays a visit to Villa park and have left all their keepers at home, daring any Villa forward to score. Chelsea receive Burnley in what is the first of two easy game-weeks. Pardew and Wenger battle it out for sexiest man alive when Arsenal’s midfield dwarfs visit Selhurst Park. Hull City welcomes in QPR in a bit of Sunday League action. Pulis leads his all out attack to face a Sunderland side that is looking to achieve mediocrity. In Swansea we will see a Siggy sighting as they look to fend off the sideways long ball attack of LVG’s men. In the last game of the day City welcome in the Toon, who they have managed to pummel 15-1 in their last 5 EPL meetings.
Sunday brings us the last 3 fixtures starting with a lunch time kickoff. Spurs one man show Bale Kane looks to add more goalkeeper scalps to his ever growing collection as the hammers come in after their FA cup disaster. That is followed up by the Toffees rolling out the red carpet for last place Leicester who are always a sight for sore eyes. The GW is concluded when the Saints look to derail Liverpool’s charge for a Champions League spot, in what looks like the best game of the weekend.
Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so you can see yourself becoming rich right before your very eyes.

What should I do with this team? Was thinking of selling Eriksen but not too sure. 2 FTs and 0.2 mil in the bank
No need Matt. Bench him with Kane and Terry for the DGW as you have a strong squad there. I’d use one of the FTs on replacing van Aanholt and save the other.
Okay cheers mate who would you suggest for Van Aanholt?
Ideally someone who rotates well with your other 4 defenders. If not, then go short term and pick a good fixture for GW27, like Wollscheid of Stoke?
I was thinking Hutton, is a Villa defender a good idea?
I would avoid Villa defence altogether. You’ve got a strong set up there. It’s actually tough to pick an obvious transfer to make. Maybe sell Dann for a cheaper option and bank a few quid for future moves.
Right but that still leaves Van Aanholt who might have lost his place which leaves me with one less player for next week.
You will still have a good 11 to field. If van Aanholt gets back in the team you will want him after the United game. I reckon it’s a bit early to assume he has lost his spot permanently.
Right Cheers NIN. I’m having a bit of trouble picking a cheaper replacement for Dann, suggestions??
As shown below, i’m looking at Haidara for 4.1m. I see you have Krul already, but i assume Pantilimon will be your GK most weeks. Haidara could go really well this week and will be decent backup. Worth consideration at least.
Think i may has stumbled upon my transfers for this week. Someone on here suggested Ibe during the week. I advised against it, but it does seem like he is going to keep his spot.
Ye Ibe could be a great transfer don’t see Rodgers dropping him anytime soon.
That’s a shrewd move NIN -very efficient – shame about his fixture but still…
NIN
Cheers Matt/James/GP. It’s a struggle to find a decent midfielder at 4.5m or less. Might get a lucky assist out of Ibe.
Ye especially one that plays. You might even nick the odd goal
He’ll be backup after next GW, but if i could squeeze a goal out of him vs City, that would be great. Not likely though.
Ye it’s unlikely but you never know
Indeed. I think i remember he hit the post recently with a long range effort. Could get lucky with one of those i suppose.
Yes against Everton I think
1FT and 2.1m in bank
Need to sort out my defence, help appreciated
I would do Wisdom -> another WBA defender. Preferably Lescott or McAuley.
Good replacement for Walcott any 1? Already have hazard sanchez and yaya
Silva if you can afford him. He has been excellent recently.
Alrite nin already have yaya and aguero would that be bit of a overkill with 3?
Maybe, maybe not. His form is hard to ignore. They do have a tough game next though. Hmm. I fancy Arsenal to paste Everton so you could go that route. Di Maria is an option too but United are so unpredictable that that may not be the best move.
Yeh it’s a hard 1 got 10 mill to spend if get rid of wally. No point keeping him wenger too unpredictable
Agreed. When fit and firing he’s Fantasy Gold. Hopefully he gets back there soon.
Another truly dreadful week, thinking of playing my WC even thought I don’t think my team is that bad!
This would be my team for next week but I have 2ft to use. Worth WCing?
Hey Shadow, nah not worth a WC this week I don’t think. With 2 FT you can easily sort a decent enough 11 out there. I’d even just use the 1 and carry the other over for the DGW.
Yep. I’ll go along with that
Sorry only just got back to this. Sounds pretty good advice, would have probably been a knee jerk WC.
Will have a good think about possible changes.
Gents,
Your probably sick of me asking the same thing. But who is the best replacement for wisdom? Got 1.3 to spend.
This is currently my team.
I’d do a sideways move to keep WBA defence. You can afford any of them so whichever tickles your fancy. Haidara as a one weeker to try take advantage of a shitty Villa team. You keeping Theo then?
I was thinking mcauley??
I really don’t know what to do about walcott, he’s too good to be on the bench!! God knows what wenger is doing! Welbeck ain’t no way as good as my man theo!! I could bring in ADM if I do the mcauley move. What do you think NIN?
McAuley is a good shout i think. Any of their backline really, so whatever suits your budget or whichever you prefer. I’m a big Walcott fan myself. Cracking player so i can only assume he is being left out because of his previous injury record. He needs to go a few years without a bad breakdown so maybe Wenger is just protecting him. Di Maria is getting some decent points but i’m very skeptical about United players. Could go really well, could be a serious flop. He was awful for me recently, then i sold him for Alexis and he has kicked the latter’s ass since! Quite frustrating but i’m happy to have Alexis going forward.
I had ADM until Saturday morning!! Lol!! Silva did make up for it though!!
Walcott would have suited the palace game so I couldn’t get my head round it unless he’s going all out on Wednesday against Monaco!!
I’ll think I’ll go with mcauley. Just need to make sure I have 11 playing this week!!
Good point re the Monaco game. That could well be the case, now that you mention it. I fancy you’s will destroy them. I’ve actually trebled up on Arsenal in my UCL team as well as FPL, which is a first!
Yes, Silva did indeed make up for it. 17 points in 58 minutes is outrageous. Shame they have such a massive, tough game midweek. Otherwise, that could well have been a massacre of record breaking level.
They won’t destroy Monaco as Monaco will just defend for 2 legs and barely threaten going forward – Arsenal’s toughest job will be breaking them down.
You reckon? I had the first leg down as a serious hammering. 3, maybe 4-0. I think they have too much pace for Monaco.
Yeah but the pace will be negated by Monaco sitting deep. I could well be wrong, but a frustrating night for Arsenal wouldn’t surprise me.
Don’t get me wrong, they will go through and the record books will prob show a 3/4-0 aggregate score, but I think they will find it tough to break them down.
Interesting. Once Ozil and Sanchez get all the goals, however many there may be, i’ll be happy enough. Worst UCL season ever for me. How did you do this week?
56 mate, could of done with Sturridge starting the bleeding game today, just gives me another reason to dislike the Scousers and Brenda though.
I read you did great mate, nice one! Tried to get on early doors but then got told we were out for the day, so sorry!! But well done mate!
56 is good this week, considering how unlucky many managers have been. Shame about Sturridge though. Everything seemed to go my way this week. Finished on 81 so happy days. Cheers!
81 wow!! Superb stuff NIN!
Cookie – Monaco will be a walk in the park
Mitro, as I said to NIN, you’ll defo go through. Just don’t expect a 5-0!
Cheers mate. It essentially won me the main mini league i’m in. Got a 91 point lead now so well chuffed
What do you have in mind for this week, transfers wise? Also, what are your thoughts on my proposed transfers on post 116?
NIN, congrats!
Gotta be quick then off for dinner. Ibe. I’ve thought about him too. Cheap as chips which is nice and looks a decent player. My one concern is rotation and being young Brenda wont want to overplay him.
If you think he will play enough then go for it and I may even follow you!!
Right, laters.
Cool. I think i’ll have a punt on him and see what happens. It’s really next GW that i need someone for and that price range is abysmal. Have a good one mate. Chat later.
