Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 34 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 20GW34 is live! And what a way to start this double gameweek. A lunch time kick-off to get the blood boiling and the accusations of plagiarizing floating. Oh when the Saints/Spurs go marching in, oh when the… Nothing like a sing off to lay claim to a song by, errr an American? Well after that episode of X-factor we get six 3pm games. Including the relegation derby between Foxes and Clarets. But that is not the only fixture with relegation in the equation, Hull visit Palace in a game they must have. QPR running out of chances face the best possible match up as the Hammers have been laying down for all opposition. Sunderland visit the Britannia as they also battle for survival. In the “who cares” game of the week we have Newcastle hosting the Swans. Liverpool visit the Baggies in the first game in their double, as they look to lock up a Europa League spot. Hee hee, sorry that was uncalled for. In the last Saturday game, legend Tim Sherwood (teacher) takes on Pelligrini (student) in what promises to be a chance to count empty seats.

Sunday brings us two tasty fixtures. First the Toffees host the Fellaini led United side. One can only imagine the tears shed as Everton fans remember how lucky they were to have had the Mop, but that is all in the past now. He is sole property of the Manchester club now and their -kick it high, kick it long and let Afro bring it down- style. Sunday also treats us to the best ‘on paper’ fixture of the gameweek. The Emirates will be the sight when old Gunner favourite Mourinho brings in his eleven behind the ball side to probably grab a scoreless draw or eek out a 1-0 win. For the sake of our footy entertainment, we hope Arsenal miraculously scores first, that way the Chelsea ‘forward’ can stop holding hands with Courtois and is forced to actually take up an attacking position.

After one day off we welcome the second game for Hull and Liverpool. Hopefully this will see our DGW investments take the pitch and not be rested. Surely Hull will play their best XI with so much on the line, but will Liverpool?

In the last affair of the gameweek, we have Leicester looking to grab something, anything from the soon to be champs. Who knows how Jose will play this one out, will he finally give some of his players a rest? Hopefully you invested wisely and have picked the guys that Jose will utilize in this the tastier of their double gameweek.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Seeing as there’s a few on here now, what do we think of this lot for next GW? Silva -> Ramsey/Ozil seems a good shout to me. Thoughts? Ta.

Thinking about the same move Nin.Most people seem to be trying to get Sanchez in for the dgw but I’d have to take a hit to do that,I’m thinking Giroud,Ramsey and Ozil over the next 3 weeks just not sure in which order !

      • NIN says:

Brooky – If it had to be Ozil or rambo, who would you go for? I’ve Ospina so it’ll be him, a mid, and Giroud for me, i think.

        • Brookyboy says:

Toss a coin over that one mate, both equally likely to produce in my opinion.Ozil does take some set pieces but Ramsey has been in good form lately.

        • NIN says:

I suppose, a fit and firing Rambo is just about impossible to ignore. Might just go with him first. Cheers Brooky

        • NIN says:

Could be a sneaky capo pick vs shitty Hull, too 😉

        • Brookyboy says:

Yep think I’m gonna bring Ramsey in first and give Vardy another week at home against a leaky Newcastle defence then decide whether to take him or Kane out for Giroud. Not sure I’ve got the balls to capoo him though.I might go Vardy actually !! laugh

        • NIN says:

Ha, if you can go with Vardy then you can go for just about anyone, within reason! laugh

        • Evening NIN – it’s got to be Rambo. He’s re-capturing his early season form, and there seems to be that trend again of the big hitters from the start of the season finishing strongly again (Rambo, Siggy etc..), evidenced by the fact that the top point scorers these past few weeks have been “ghost” teams.

        • NIN says:

Evening/Morning, blue. Yeah, you could well be right. If not for the injuries Ramsey would still be in all our teams, and wouldn’t be far off top point scorer so far. Leaning heavily towards him now. Any early plans, yourself?

        • Yep. Already ear-marked Silva to Ramsey this week. Ramsey and Sanchez v Hull and primed for a DGW could be juicy!

        • Pippin says:

Interesting discussion guys. I am also pondering which of the Arsenal mids to load up on, and Ramsey is the frontrunner. Can’t afford Sanchez w/o major surgery (or having him, Giroud, Bellerin- but I’m rotation wary) so Ramsey and Oezil both might be a solution. Good spot on the high-scoring ghost teams.

        • NIN says:

Very much so. Double attack vs Hull… yummy 😉

        • Hey Pippin. How’s things? Great scoring this season. Nice shootout with NIN (I reckon it’ll come down to BPs in GW 38!). Great stuff gents. I can see one of the FF247 regulars winning this damn thing next season!

        • NIN says:

Pippin – Only worry i have with Rambo is injuries/game time. Surely he’ll be played for the rest of the games, though. Making him (c) vs Hull is really appealing, too. Yeah, Rambo it is, i reckon.

blue – The standard is rising all the time. It’s only a matter of time before someone binks it. I for one, cannot wait for it to happen. It’d be amazing if one of the team were to win it. Kop, init, etc. You’d be hard pushed to find more deserving managers!

        • Pippin says:

thanks blue. I’m well pleased with my scoring this season, easily my best ever ranking. Entirely attribute it to the great forum and community on this website. Fully agree with NIN that it’d be great to see one of the website team get a win.

How did both of you do this week? Chuffed with 63 (9 left to play); the benefit of keeping the WC for weeks like this definitely evident. Got a bit lucky ditching Moreno for Skrtel at the last minute (many burned by that one) and also by the fact that my connection went down as I tried to swap Terry for Fabregas at 11:25… Depends on the next game, but four CS across two Chelsea defenders could well be on, and Haz is still the main offensive threat.

        • NIN says:

Pippin – My lot are bang average this week. 36 after hits, 5 left to play. Probably good enough to hold rank, ish, but unlikely to see green arrows unless Hazard blanks again and Skrtel scores. I can live with that.

Well done for holding that WC this long. Judging by your score it seems you’ve nailed it too. Nice one
