Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 34 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 20GW34 is live! And what a way to start this double gameweek. A lunch time kick-off to get the blood boiling and the accusations of plagiarizing floating. Oh when the Saints/Spurs go marching in, oh when the… Nothing like a sing off to lay claim to a song by, errr an American? Well after that episode of X-factor we get six 3pm games. Including the relegation derby between Foxes and Clarets. But that is not the only fixture with relegation in the equation, Hull visit Palace in a game they must have. QPR running out of chances face the best possible match up as the Hammers have been laying down for all opposition. Sunderland visit the Britannia as they also battle for survival. In the “who cares” game of the week we have Newcastle hosting the Swans. Liverpool visit the Baggies in the first game in their double, as they look to lock up a Europa League spot. Hee hee, sorry that was uncalled for. In the last Saturday game, legend Tim Sherwood (teacher) takes on Pelligrini (student) in what promises to be a chance to count empty seats.

Sunday brings us two tasty fixtures. First the Toffees host the Fellaini led United side. One can only imagine the tears shed as Everton fans remember how lucky they were to have had the Mop, but that is all in the past now. He is sole property of the Manchester club now and their -kick it high, kick it long and let Afro bring it down- style. Sunday also treats us to the best ‘on paper’ fixture of the gameweek. The Emirates will be the sight when old Gunner favourite Mourinho brings in his eleven behind the ball side to probably grab a scoreless draw or eek out a 1-0 win. For the sake of our footy entertainment, we hope Arsenal miraculously scores first, that way the Chelsea ‘forward’ can stop holding hands with Courtois and is forced to actually take up an attacking position.

After one day off we welcome the second game for Hull and Liverpool. Hopefully this will see our DGW investments take the pitch and not be rested. Surely Hull will play their best XI with so much on the line, but will Liverpool?

In the last affair of the gameweek, we have Leicester looking to grab something, anything from the soon to be champs. Who knows how Jose will play this one out, will he finally give some of his players a rest? Hopefully you invested wisely and have picked the guys that Jose will utilize in this the tastier of their double gameweek.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

I’m sure someone’s asked the question, but I can’t find it, scrolling back. How does FL explain the bps for the Arsenal-Chelsea game? The Arsenal defenders had sweet tweet to do, and Mou was ecstatic about Terry’s performance. Not that I particularly care for Terry, but I do think he got jobbed on this one?

Ki – I think this might be what you’re looking for

How is the BPS score calculated?

Players score BPS points based on the following statistics (one point for each unless otherwise stated):

    Action BPS
    Playing 1 to 60 minutes 3
    Playing over 60 minutes 6
Goalkeepers and defenders scoring a goal 12
    Midifielders scoring a goal 18
    Forwards scoring a goal 24
    Assists 9
Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12
    Saving a penalty 15
    Save 1
    Open play cross 1
Creating a big chance (a chance where the receiving player should score) 3
For every 3 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total) 1
    For every 3 recoveries 1
    Key pass 1
    Successful tackle (net*) 1
    Successful dribble 1
Scoring the goal that wins a match 3
70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 3
80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 6
90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 9
    Conceding a penalty -3
    Missing a penalty -6
    Yellow card -3
    Red card -9
    Own goal -6
    Missing a big chance -3
Making an error which leads to a goal -3
Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal -1
    Being tackled -1
    Conceding a foul -1
    Being caught offside -1
    Shot off target -1
*Net successful tackles is the total of all successful tackles minus any unsuccessful tackles. Players will not be awarded negative BPS points for this statistic.

Data is supplied by Opta and once it has been marked as final will not be changed. We will not enter into discussion around any of the statistics used to calculate this score for any individual match.

Anyone wants to give me some early advice on my team for next GW?

Thinking Silva>Sanchez or Kane>Giroud as one of my FTs, cause i can only afford one of Sanchez and Giroud, but not both. Although it would be nice to have to make the most out of the coming great fixtures of Arsenal.

Also thinking of replacing Siggy once he has faced Stoke, and thinking of getting someone from Newcastle in his place perhaps, due to fixtures. Best mid of Newcastle? laugh

So, looking at early next season FPL plans who should we consider from Watford? smile

    Kop Warrior,

Thanks for the bps matrix. Looking at it, I still find it difficult to fathom how the static twin towers for Arsenal outscored Terry in particular, but perhaps the others on the backline (Azpi for 3)?I got the sense they were just trying to vary the distribution of points. Mou clearly didn’t agree:
Mourinho also described John Terry’s performance as the best the captain has given in two spells under his management at Chelsea.
“I think it was his finest performance in the five seasons we have worked together,” said Mourinho.
“He had a fantastic performance in my first season, at Highbury, but here everything was clean, reading the game, covering around the game, making interceptions.
“The team was phenomenal but John was one step ahead of that.”
