Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 35 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat
And so from a week with many, many games in which so few players actually bothered to turn up to a week with far less games but hopefully more actual players. If that makes sense! GW35 is the one which has been commonly referred to as the ‘blank week’. So much so you’d be forgiven for thinking that all the fixtures had been cancelled, which of course isn’t the case. There are indeed 6 teams without a game this week but that means there are 14 who do still play. There may only be 7 games but they span 3 days and Man City kick us off on Saturday lunchtime when they host Stoke. Saturday is then a short affair with just the 3 games, all kicking off at 3pm before Sunday brings us Sunderland and Arsenal at 2.05pm and then a Vardy-less Leicester who host Swansea at 4pm. Spurs and West Brom then see us out on Monday night at 8pm. The fixtures in full…

    Gentlemen,
Why Shane Long not given even a single BP?

Looking at the dgw – my wc is gone but curious – who would you have in that dgw? Would you have Coutinho with the rotation issues? Firmino? Everton off form, Sunderland fixtures poor, West Ham (2 or 3), United (1 or 2 gk/defender), Sunderland (1-2), Chelsea – 1 punt ?

I may even sell Coutinho for a single gw player

    what you think?

Currently I have 3 Liverpool, 1 United, 2 West Ham and 1 Everton. I’m thinking of selling 2 Liverpool(Sakho and Couthino) and bringing in Sunderland defender and I’m unsure on the midfield but could be Alli. The rest of my players are SGW.

On second thought, Milner could come in for Couthino as a punt.

      The B says:

Getting Sunderland attackers could be a good strategy considering the fact that they are in the relegation battle. Just like last season I think, when Sunderland escaped relegation smartly in the end by scoring good amount of goals. Or was it the season before the last one?

      • TheDreamers says:

Hi B – I brought in Defoe for that very reason but thats more I needed a player than anything else

      • lukealike says:

Defoe will be scoring over the next few weeks, I have seen at least 3 recent interviews where he talked about he has to score and he is there to score and if he doesn’t score it would cost people jobs and the club the premier league. HE is going to be scoring 100% and Sunderland will survive relegation. Hopefully he makes a start against Arsenal
He is so used to a relegation fight along with Sam, so he doesn’t even have any pressure and when you make open statements to the press, most times it is backed up..

        • lukealike says:

Im so confident in fact, Im playing PVA and Defoe ahead of Bellerin and Iwobi, so far im right because bellerin has a yellow 😛

What are people doing with sakho getting rid?

    The B says:

Thoughts on this team for next GW? Thinking of doing Barkley > Payet and play Bench Boost, since I forgot to BB in the previous DGW.

Good idea? Or hold Barkley for his fixture?

    MattX says:

How’s this team look for this week? A few questions though:
Welbeck or Carroll for the run in?
    Should I upgrade Lanzini?
    Sakho to PVA/Moreno?
    Couthino to Alli or Milner/Lallana?

      The B says:

Both are pretty decent. Carrol just more nailed when fit.

Nah just keep Lanzini. Not many good budget midfielders in that price range, and he has decent fixtures and plays in an overall good team.

PvA over Moreno. Have some questions over Moreno’s game time in the coming DGW. Might just play 1.

Milner is a better alternative, but Id still want to keep Coutinho.

      • MattX says:

Cheers B. so you think it’s worth selling Welbeck? His fixtures (Norwich and Villa) make it hard to sell him.

I was thinking if I brought Carroll in then I upgrade Lanzini to Ozil?

Yeah I was leaning that way aswell just thought Moreno is getting more forward as the weeks come to a close.

Again I want Couthino but he seems to be the first name that Klopp rotates and Milner seems to be the one who plays the majority of the time.

      Brookyboy says:

I’d swap Welbeck to Carrol for the dgw.Are Liverpool mids worth having anymore ? Coutinho deffo isn’t as he seems most prone to rotation.Thinking of squeezing in a Chelsea mid and doing Sakho to a Sunderland defender myself.

      • MattX says:

Cheers Brooky. Yeah Carroll for the DGW is my exact reasoning but it’s the Villa game on the final day that is making me wary. I think Liverpool are just very attacking right and not having any could screw you. PVA for Sakho is one I think I’ll definitely do.

        • Brookyboy says:

Yeah Liverpool are attacking but we just never know from week to week what team Klopp is going to put out.I’ve got Coutinho and he’s spent more time on the bench than he has on the pitch since I brought him in.Liverpool play in Europe this Thursday and the following Thursday so you should imagine the whole team will be subject to rotation in Gw36 and the first game of Gw37.If I had Firminho or Milner I’d probably hold them but Coutinho has to go now.Chuck in the fact I’ve got bloody Sakho and Kdb to sort out too !!

        • MattX says:

Yeah I get you mate that’s why I was thinking should I swap Couthino to Milner. Sakho is easy to replace I think there is plenty affordable options and KDB gives you a lot of funds to mess around with. Who are you thinking of replacing him with?

        • Brookyboy says:

I haven’t got Payet yet so will probably bring him in,maybe a Sunderland defender for Sakho and debating on bringing a Chelsea mid in.Will see how Mahrez performs next couple of games ( as I will most likely bench him gw37) and how Chelsea look against Spurs.

        • MattX says:

Yeah Payet for KdB is a good move. I think PVA is the best Sunderland defender to bring in. I was thinking of selling Mahrez because I’m playing my BB anyway so it doesn’t matter who is on my bench.
