The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

A few stronger pints of questionable substances where taken. Guilty as charged haha! And yes..I am freaking buzzing about the game. And we would not be too far off the other big teams if we win…wondering why I am even saying “if”..but you never know with this crazy PL. LVG is building something nothing short of exciting this year!
He certainly is KFC, well some would say buying not building, but in fairness this spending should of been happening when Keane left. Certainly when Scholes had past his best.
Would love to see Falcao start today – would lift everyone and maybe just the tonic to raise the confidence levels and get back to where we should be.

Absolutely right. Last season I would have been in mourning today. But as our man man Raz would say . . . *shrugs* I honestly feel OK about it now, enjoying the game much more.
I’ve learned a lesson that between Costa and Kun I’m rotating them for the Cappo all season regardless how anyone else looks.
So who gets the band next week GP?!

Desperate times. Hey we all have those weeks.
What about Liverpool yesterday from a fellow admirer? I thought there were too many changes and I said so before kick off. Losing Sturridge was bad enough but to not start Sterling was in my opinion, just too much of a change when you consider that the front three are all newbies, it was a lot to ask. They were slow and lacked the fluidity as Rodgers admitted himself.
Looking objectively, we never saw the Sterling that Rodgers saw upon his return from England. Maybe he wasn’t ready to start.
GP, as I said to Cookie after the game, it’s easy for me to say now but the decision to ‘rest’ Sterling when Sturridge is out injured was stupid. Obviously if we’d won the game no one would be talking about the decision but we didn’t.
Yeah he should have definitely played with Sturridge injured … we missed his pace up front. Also, I prefer it when we line up in a 4-3-1-2 formation. I was at the game last night and there were too many sideways passes! I think Balotelli would also prefer a strike partner rather than being alone upfront. We might struggle a bit more without Sturridge

Liverpool were not the Liverpool we came to enjoy last season. There were three huge changes (no Sturridge, Sterling or Skrtel) but in fairness to Villa they played the match to suit them. They have made only one change to their starting lineup in the first four games so are very settled. They may well just blow this “avoid at all costs”notion out of the water (they have five tough-looking fixtures in a row).
Yeah Villa are stil to be avoided it seems.
Just wanted to see if LIverpool had a shocker.

Worst GW ever. Got 31 with only 3 left to play, and I captained Sterling. Made even worse by my friend on Fantasy Football Scout (who’s unable to make a decision by himself, and blindly follows people’s advice) who’s got 65 this week and who keeps rubbing it in my face on facebook and stuff 😉
Definetly getting Aguero over the next few days. And I kind of regret selling Ramsey.

Dont worry you are not the only one. Generally everyone fell into one of two camps yesterday – those who captained Costa and those who didn’t.
Just remember it is only one week in 38 and keep patient and you’ll be beat your friend I’m sure.

The only midfielder I could sell for Ramsey is Di Maria, yet he’s also the only player I have remaining that my friend doesnt have so I’m hoping he does well! Similar situation to you with Fabregas
Only consolation from yesterday is I am almost guaranteed to rise places with 3 to play today.Captains choices every week are a bastard!
