Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 4 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung…did you play your wildcard or have you decided to hold onto it a little longer? Some will be happy with their decision while others will castigate themselves! The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW4 from all at FF247!

    Best of luck everyone today.

I’m relieved Ramsey plays. I don’t have him but i spent days on end on here telling people he would be OK smile

Now if Costa plays I’ll be a smug smug man

Smug you say? Are you really Alex Salmond? 😉

Best of luck to you too Gallant. Did you stick with Sterling for captain? I got nervous with all the bib theory chatter and Brendan talking about rotation, but I took it off Rooney and put it back on Sterling right before the deadline. Hope he grabs some points today!

      • inittowinit says:

I hope he gets all 3 assists for the Balotelli goals Red :p Can’t see him not playing mate, he won the Captains Poll as well so you won’t be alone either way!

        • Kop Warrior says:

I was daft enough to captain Rooney!!!

        • Raziel says:

Same. I went from Costa to Rooney, from Rooney to Sterling, from Sterling to Di Maria, from Di Maria back to Sterling and from Sterling back to Rooney. Rooney is cap. sad

        • Raziel says:

On that note, the last Cap change choice was made because I found out today I have a BBQ later this evening and I can’t watch the Pool game (I have to socialize and shit, sighs). Hope it works out for Rooney, Sterling and most important ”me”. 😉

To wish Rooney some extra succes I found a monkey that looks just like him. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • inittowinit says:

Kop he’s hardly a bad shout this week. Then again I said that last week. And the week before. I’ve sold him now but if I had him still it’d be a close call between him and Balo this week.

        • inittowinit says:

Raz funnily enough I went for Balo (not the only reason but one of them) because I’m also at a BBQ this evening and we will definitely be watching the game!

        • Raziel says:

Good move Innit, I’d go with Balo if I had him, only because Sturridge is out though.

In Holland we have to pay our ass off to watch EPL. Sighs. On that note, I think I can get a cool deal for 3 months. I’m thinking of starting it after the second Internatiol Break. Smart move?

Also, English football not as popular here as it is overseas, I bet. I’d be depressing everybody with my EPL talk. They just want to see my monkeyballs. Uh oh, did I just say that?

        • RedVT says:

Haha, I’ll take 3 assists all day long initt!! I think Balotelli is bound to get you some points today on his debut at Anfield, I would have picked him up and captained him if I didn’t have other concerns to deal with.

This will be good. I can watch Arsenal-City with nothing at stake. Unless Kos picks up a head injury again. sad

      Veer says:

Wish I could say the same, I actually have to hope Ramsey does nothing! I wouldn’t mind if he scored the winner but otherwise…

      • Raziel says:

It’s a must win game for Arsenal to be honest. If they want to stay in the race for the EPL. Well, maybe not must-win but if they lose it the Gooners are as good as goners. 😉

(———— see what I did right there?

        • I’m with Tekno’s sarcasm on this. It’s GW4 for goodness sake.

        • Raziel says:

We are talking about Arsenal here. Even if they lead in the winter they usually screw it up in the second part of the season. If they screw up in the first part I really don’t see them making it up in the second.

Any other team, yes, Arsenal… NO. 😉

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Understated sarcasm at its finest, applause.

        • Raziel says:

Next time listen to the Raz. Arsenal dominate play and all but they always end up with second or third price. 😉

That’s what you get for ganging up on me with 3 guys. laugh

        • So Man City’s goal proves your theory that one game in GW4 decides whether a team can win the league or not? Rubbish. The reason Arsenal will or won’t (And for the record I don’t think they will) win the league is because they’re not good enough over the duration.

        • Raziel says:

I just said Arsenal tend to have a bad second spell, so if they mess it up in the first spell already it will be even harder for them to set things straight. If there is a theory is it’s that Arsenal usually can cope till winterstop but after that they lose too many points.

Put a smug face in because yall can’t take yours off. 😉

        • I completely agree with THAT comment Raz. But that’s not what you wrote before mate!

        • Raziel says:

The first comment was all set up for my genius oneliner: ”Well, maybe not must-win but if they lose it the Gooners are as good as goners. ”

I understand football isn’t just about the first 4 games or the first 10 games for that matter. Though I do believe you can lose it all at the start of the competition if the topcontenders are ”top” that season. For many years the topteams have been ”fickle” over the season (main reason is they have no xmas break I think plus champions league). Anything is possible, I think United lost in the last minute few seasons back? Six or seven weeks before the last game they were leading 8 or 9 points if I recall correctly. So I get that is possible.

However, it’s Arsenal… I like them, they tend not to spend much on play good/attractive football. But in the end they always seem to be second best (at most) ever since 2005.

At 1:09 pm I did explain myself properly I think. Anyway, irrelevant. I’m far from an Arsenal hater. Think it sucks RvP left them.
