Last Call for All

Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 38

A total of 137 points from our Gameweek 37 Bench Boost was most welcome and almost all of our selections of recent times have pulled their weight to create the score – a whole 54 points above the weekly average to take us to 6,018 overall ahead of the final weekend.

On the right-hand side of our team you will see we were ‘Son-Burned’ with those pair being our worst in the side – 3 and 4 – oh and Isak as well who had four. Why is it that 2 x 2-pointers is somehow worse than a 2-pointer? Guess it’s demonstrating that you are a two-time loser. Heads in shame boys … heads in shame.

We got the captain correct in going for Erling Haaland. His 30 was boosted, figuratively, by on-pitch double-figure hauls from Ederson (13), Van de Ven (12), Porro (10), Foden (11) and Palmer (14) and boosted literally from the bench – 23 points from double Chelsea, Branthwaite and Gabriel. Well played lads. Take a(nother) rest.

Quick Recap

It’s been a brilliant season for us and although we have regressed a little in recent weeks from a dizzying 1,276 just six weeks ago (and a season-best 528 in Gameweek 15), we haven’t taken any of it for granted and we’ve really enjoyed the season. It would be lovely to get inside the top 5,000 by Sunday evening. If not, then we’ve got 5,757 to better – that’s our best ever so far.

Come on lads!

Our Gameweek 37 Result

We have 0.7mln in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of Gameweek 38. Let’s go see what was decided.

Our Gameweek 38 Transfer(s)

We have one FT and to be honest, we could have burned it in an act of utter bravado or sheer lunacy (you decide). However we checked the side and realised we may be a little Arsenal light so we have looked to who may be the man who could get that last-day hat-trick at the Emirates. Trossard was mentioned but Havertz won out the day.

To confirm then we have SOLD ANTHONY GORDON and BOUGHT KAI HAVERTZ

In preparation the only issue we had was an unavoidable strong first sub – Nicolas Jackson OR Bruno Fernandes – put to the vote and it was bye-bye Bruno.

Captain – ERLING HAALAND

Just feels right doesn’t it?

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

who would you bench among these 3: isak, jackson or bruno ?

    Advice please, 1FT & £1.1 ITB
I was going to do Bruno > Saka and play 3-5-2 benching Isak, OR Isak > Gakpo playing 3-4-3 benching Bruno, but now with Gordon a risk, what should I do, I want a Arsenal player really but cannot afford Saka, selling Gordon only give me £7.3m so that rules out Havartz so really there is only Trossard, the only other option would be benching Gordon, playing Bruno and Isak > £9.1m in a 3-4-3 but who as the third forward?
Or just do Bruno > Saka or Havartz?? play Isak and bench Gordon?
I think Trossard is going to be the best option even though it’s been forced, or are there any other ideas?

I’ve a similar dilemma, I hadn’t thought of Trossard. Could be a great move, without a hit. If Bruno starts I fancy him to get something, sorry not much help there lol.

      I would do Bruno > Saka/Havertz but I’m not 100% convinced.

      • Terminators says:

The issue I have really is I think that Gordon is more likely to score and get more points than Isak, but we are not 100% sure Gordon is going to play, I am not keeping Bruno as I want Saka or Havertz, so I am going to wait until as close as I can to the deadline for any team news, even so I am leaning more towards Havertz BUT if Jesus plays it’s likely Havertz will be the player that is moved in position.

Would U play Porro or Gabriel?, or both?
Also would U sell Bruno for Havertz? Or just play him and bring in Trossard for Gordon?
    God this is tough.

Play Porto, White & Gvardiol. No idea on the midfield though. I’m struggling with the same dilemma

      • Terminators says:

Porro has a pretty much 99% of getting a CS, but a double Arsenal is a risk, they should get a clean sheet, but Everton are much more likely to score than Sheffield, I assume you are playing three at the back? Really both Spurs and Arsenal should get a CS who do you think is more at risk of conceding?

As with my team (you commented on) are you playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2, if it’s 3-4-3 then there is no point in Gordon > Trossard only to bench the latter, if it’s 3-5-2 then yes Gordon > Trossard.

The issue I have really is I think that Gordon is more likely to score and get more points than Isak, but we are not 100% sure Gordon is going to play, I am not keeping Bruno as I want Saka or Havertz, so I am going to wait until as close as I can to the deadline for any team news, even so I am leaning more towards Navertz BUT if Jesus plays it’s likely Havertz will be the player that is moved in position.

        • man u man says:

My initial thoughts was just to get Havertz for Bruno, but having watched Bruno against Newcastle, I’m not sure now.I am open to 343 or 442, I suppose we just have to make decisions and hope for the best. Thanks for the comments.

I’ve got 2 FTs and 0.5 to spend but not sure whether I need to do anything here. Thoughts?

      Terminators says:

I would move Burn to second sub no matter what, and I would wait as close to the deadline as you can to see news on Saka and Gordon you may need to make a change on one or both.
Your team looks good to go, but everyone is in the same boat with the same player issues.

GTG or should I do one final transfer?
Or Bruno->Havertz and play instead of Gordon?
