Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 4 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung…did you play your wildcard or have you decided to hold onto it a little longer? Some will be happy with their decision while others will castigate themselves! The first game-week after an international break always makes for fun and games as we have to deal with those ‘international injuries’. Costa is injured, or is he?! Ramsey is injured, or is he?! The game-week kicks off with Arsenal hosting City at lunchtime today and we wrap things up on Monday night with an equally glamourous tie as Hull ‘entertain’ West Ham. Oh and in between there’s the small matter of United potentially rolling out another three debutants.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW4 from all at FF247!

Really fearful of my defense. However, uncertain if I should make changes. If I don’t make a change I either have to play Terry away versus City or Hutton home versus Arsenal…

DDG also continues to be a worry, even though United kept 2 cleansheets now. >.<

Ack, nobody helping me. Think I might do an early transfer. I’m taking Terry out. I just don’t like the Chelsea fixtures next couple of weeks. Anyway, if I do this transfer I can get in Falcao the next week. So Terry to Clyne it is. Soton do face Swansea away next though. Hmmm, maybe reconsider. In the long run Clyne has both goal/assist potential and great fixtures. >.<

Lol @ hype of the day. Sterling being moved out, Rooney was far in the red before this game but suddenly he's going up, Falcao was +10k and now is at +1k.

      • RedVT says:

I dropped Terry for Clyne last week Raz and it worked out well. I’m pretty much only interested in Baines or Ivan at this point if I go for a premium defender. Taking some $$ out of my defense right now to upgrade elsewhere but I’ll probably get Baines in when/if I use my WC.

        • Raziel says:

Hmmm, yeah. Just took another look and if I do take out ummmm Terry for Clyne I will have nightmare fixtures set for GW7, hahaha. City away, Chelsea away and Spurs away for my defenders. So having Terry play City now, is the best option, I guess. I want to upgrade Rooney to Falcao still, but I might do that through another player. I also want to fit in Baines after GW7 (GW6 Pool away I think and GW7 they have United away, after that good fixtures though).

Also, I was really set on using my WC in GW7, 2nd international break. Now it’s doing so well, maybe I don’t need to. Keep WC if possible. Seems I picked all the right players. Hell, I’m number 10th of my country. Hahaha, that’s so awesome. 😛

Anyway, tnx for your advise. Will be going to bed now. Take care.

Boy, United’s performance today has really changed up my thinking going into the next few weeks. I was all set to get Ramsey in for Eriksen and Aguero in for Rooney for GW6. But now I’m wondering if I’m better off hanging onto Rooney and grabbing Di Maria for Eriksen instead.

Haha, damn. I guess I’ll stick to my plan of Duff in for Debuchy this week to raise funds and see what happens next week. Things are starting to get reeaallll interesting all of a sudden. smile

      Raziel says:

Hmmm, Rooney did well but that’s because he started as a striker today. He could get his fair share of points as a number 10 behind RvP and Falcao but when possible it’s Rooney to Falcao for me. Personally I’m just staying away from City at the moment. The thing I like about United is that they don’t have European games so they don’t have to travel. Same reason why I liked to double/triple up on Pool coverage last season.

My defense is a headache for the next gameweek, really dont know what to do about it. Have to let Terry play City away or Hutton versus Arsenal home.

      NIN says:

Yo Red. Yeah finally a good performance. We’ll see how we get on against a proper team in a few weeks 😉 Probably get battered by them, again.

      • Raziel says:

Hmmmmmmm, if United play 3-5-2 against the bigger teams anything is possible. You do need Jones (lol, did I just say that) though. FFS, Evans looked decent in the past, wtf happened to him? DDG even made silly mistakes today. Hmmmm.

        Anyway, line-up against bigger teams:

        DDG
        Jones – Rojo – Blind
Rafael – Hererra – Rooney – Di Maria – Shaw
        RvP – Falcao

        • NIN says:

Meh, De Gea and Evans are shite, that’s about all i can say about them laugh De Gea might come good some day but i’d rather he was sold.

      • RedVT says:

BTW fellas, did Rooney give PK duties to RVP last season? I thought maybe he did after missing one but I can’t remember…

        • Raziel says:

Yeah he did, this season is completely different. Also, after his last injury I haven’t seen RvP take corners or set pieces for that matter. Di Maria does right side corners and set pieces and Rooney does left side corners. Uncertain if this is correct English. But you get my point. 😛

On that note, really curious who is on penalty duty. RvP was really annoyed with is team mates today. Falcao not giving off the ball (which I get, was his first big chance) to him and same with Januzaj and a few others. RvP is really fearing he can’t score any longer. Bwahahahaha. 😛

I would favor Falcao taking penalty’s over RvP. But with his no goals you never know. In the long run I think Falcao.

      RedVT says:

Yeah, that’s a good point about no European games for United Raz. And every time I brought in Aguero last season he let me down with injury, so I’m skeptical about him to begin with. It just seems crazy not to have City coverage once their nice run starts, but since there are so many other good otions at the moment it’s certainly possible to have a strong team without any City players.

NIN, it will be interesting to see how this United team gets on once they start Gelling. After today I’d say they are looking very dangerous to say the least. United vs Everton will be a good test for sure, but it’s a tough match to watch as a Liverpool supporter- I’m not sure which club to root against!! laugh

      • NIN says:

Yeah mate. There’s a long way to go before we’re back in business but in the mean time, there’ll be some interesting Saturday afternoon’s, that’s for sure 😉 We probably need another 6 or 7 players in and for the rest of the dead wood to be moved on. A complete overhaul if you will. We’ll get there smile
