Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5GW5 is live! It’s back baby! Let us commence the agony of having all our moves turn into a post International Break nightmare. Kicking our slow death by no FPL points is a match up of wonderful English names, Roberto vs Jose. Good thing Donald Trump isn’t running for Prime Minister. In the 3pm games we finally get to see the unveiling of Arsenal world class striker Benz.., Laca…, no one, Really?! Still Giroud?! FFS! In other action we see City and their actual big signings go hunting at Selhurst Park. Callum Wilson will look to validate the trust showed by many managers in him when Bournemouth visit Norwich. Watford welcomes 4th place Swansea and hope to keep the Panther from striking again. Saints and West Brom match-up after both earning their first win of the season. In the late game we see the geniuses at work when Rodgers and his confused XI travel to Old Trafford and face off with LVG’s utterly confused XI.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. As usual Sunderland are in the relegation zone this time of year and they play the once again disappointing Spurs, who are also their usual self this time of year. In the other Sunday fixture we see a battle between value mids, as Mahrez takes on Sinclair in a fight for the hearts of the bargain hunters.

We finish the game-week off with The Hammers opening the doors to a Newcastle side that started off as bad as FPL managers have this season, but at least the Toon haven’t been reduced to tears yet.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

What are people thinking as far as Zabaleta returning to fitness diminishing Sagna’s game time? Would be crazy to take him out after the start they’ve had wound’t it??? Also, would picking up Mangala be a safe move or will he be bench fodder once Otamendi is ready? Debating the double-up on City Defense :/

2 things i need advice on

    1. is it worth doubling up on liverpool for the next two games ? can they manage both clean sheets?

    2. most of the people i see at the top of my mini leagues are the ones who have really solid defences and the ones who have constantly been captaining the likes of kolarov. is a 4 or 5 man defence the way to go?
have 2 fts. thinking of doing aguero to benteke
    williams to kolarov

      Morning SebVettel

I wouldn’t rely on Liverpool defensively. Even though they are at home,, Norwich have looked very competent in attack and I could see them scoring especially when you consider Liverpool have lost 6 in their last two matches and will be playing in Europe on Thursday before the match.

I’d keep Aguero until the end of the week to check on his fitness. Kolarov is a good idea I think.

        cheers mitchell,
haha given how solid city are at the back, it’s justified to triple up on them in defence.

i have finally seen my overall rank less than 2 mil this season. haha

another thing. what do you think about benteke? i have a feeling he’s going to score a ton in the coming matches

        • Seb

The return of Coutinho and at some point, Sturridge should help him definitely.

Right now I think the likes of Vardy and Gomis offer better value for money.

Two nice fixtures (on paper) ahead but not sure about a ton of goals. The support from midfield isn’t great for him

      The B says:

Not really. Liverpool has a shaky defense, and we saw that when United scored.

One City defenders is obviously a must, but would not let go off Aguero just yet, until we have further news on his injury. But yes, Benteke is a good choice.

    The B says:

Would anyone like to comment on Pelle at the moment? We know how Pelle has this thing about scoring only in home games, and he has 3 home games against United, Swansea and Leicester coming up.

Would you recommend keeping him? Or should I move on and get Benteke, considering Aguero is fine?
