Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15
The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

Would I be mental to go:
DDG to Heaton
Rooney to Pelle
JWP to DiMaria
for an 8 pt hit tonight?
Hammer
Just look at Cookies comment below. If you’ve extra cash ITB hold out till Friday.
SwissChocks
Cheers Hammer. I do have extra cash. I’m just feeling a rush of blood after what happened this afternoon. United fan you see!!!
Hammer
No need to panic. I’d rather spend and extra 0.1/.2 mill (max) on Friday than do and 8 point hit and lose one of them to injury. I’m against hits but I like your plan, maybe a better keeper than Heaton for 4.5m this CS streak will end soon!
SwissChocks
Thanks for the advice and ideas. You’ve calmed me down!
Cookie
Don’t forget there’s a whole load of Capital One Cup matches this week, everyone. So you may want to be careful on those early transfers!
SwissChocks
Cookie, is that a polite and diplomatic response to my rash proposition?
Cookie
Haha no not at all Swiss. Just haven’t been on today and wanted to remind everyone!! Pretty shocking display today eh? Made the scousers defence look half decent. Appalling.
SwissChocks
I don’t have any words to describe it. Not being that much of an analyst, I thought that Rojo and Blind would make a difference. How wrong was I? Appalling is the only appropriate word (on a family minded site).
Cookie
Exactly – a few other expletives were made this afternoon, let me assure you. Never seen anything like it from a team hoping to make the top 4.
AT
Evening Cookie, how’d you go on this weekend? If I hadn’t change my mind from ADM to Costa I would have had a great gameweek, I guess 59 is okay anyway! Reckon Balotelli is worth one last shot in the derby?
Cookie
Evening AT, had a shocker, scored just 41, very disappointing. 59 is brilliant mate, gutted about your change of capo, but with that score ye shall not moan!! Well done mate!
You can keep Balotelli if you want!! I wouldn’t touch him personally, in my view he is an explosion waiting to happen and I’m gonna love it when it kicks off!
AT
I don’t really want to keep him but I can’t think of a suitable replacement. I don’t want to downgrade to Pelle because I already have Welbeck and to me that feels too cheap for an attack. Thoughts?
Cookie
AT, how about Lukaku?
AT
He is a very temperamental and seems to come up with goals at the most unlikely times, have you seen his goal today? Look like his inform?
AT
he is*
Cookie
I haven’t seen his goal AT, no. But if I had the money I’d be buying him. You’re right he can be very temperamental but one look at the fixture list would convince me.
AT
You’ve persuaded me! haha, well I’ll wait until Thursday after the LC games to make my decision.
jamesimmo
I had to do it Cookie… it’s my first time this season and it feels kinda bad!
But, if Di Maria went up (and, he will) then I’d have been buggered.
Having a bad week hasn’t helped my resolve either…
Cookie
James, you gotta do what you gotta do. At least you know ADM won’t get injured in the League Cup!!
jamesimmo
Very true! And my other signing, Mr Daniels, can get injured if he likes! You must be horrified after today. I haven’t seen the game yet…
Cookie
James, yeah that pretty much sums it up! Amateur defending, at best.
Mr Bean
Cookie,
Its just too difficult to resist without knowing about price changes. I’ll deserve it if my team gets hit with injuries though.
May be a stupid question but do Capital One suspensions carry through to the PL?
Cookie
Yes they do Bean
Hammer
Would be doing nothing till Friday but how does Lamela to Tadic sound?
My front 3 is Aguero, Costa & Ulloa so I’m not looking at Pelle.
jamesimmo
Join #TeamTadic – it’s a small community – and a frustrated one too!

Hi Hammer, given their respective fixtures this week (Ars away and QPR home) I’d say yes that’s a good move. Southampton do go to Spurs the week after though which may be more difficult. Although looking at today’s results maybe not!
RITZ
Evening!
Considering doing Naismith out for Ulloa, but not at all sure!
Have anyone seen Leicester’s games and can say anything about this guy? Todays game is the only one I’ve seen from Leicester so far.
Cookie
Ritz, he’s a good option as a 3rd striker mate and fair play to them they keep on running and running. At least with Ulloa he plays for a team that attacks, but than a Burnley striker etc.
hammers
Think that’s a move most are considering this week.
jamesimmo
Evening Ritz. He’s caused all kinda of problems. Strong physical player and good in the air I think. Naismith to Ulloa would be a sound move but hold fire for now.
RITZ
Cheers guys. I’ll try to wait until Wednesday. Wanted to go for Welbeck but I’m .1 short.. Ulloa will leave me room to upgrade Rooney come next week if it’s necessary.
B-Bash
Evening Ritz
Ulloa will be on most radars now after his last 3 gw’s and with Palace, Burnley and Newcastle for the next 3, he’s definitely going to worth looking at!
Silverback
Any thoughts on Rooney he seems to be playing to deep
TheDreamers
Hey SB – not many others putting their hand up either is there though?
gkw
ADM looks better value if you must have a Man U midfielder. Rooney is more likely to start, but is classified as a forward so won’t score you any points for clean sheets. Not much to choose between them then, thinking about it.
Silverback
Watched Liverpool yesterday & Che today thought Lpool defence very poor & seem to be struggling up front without Sturridge MC looked very good & Che will be up there
