Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

    Hi guys!

What change would you make to this? I have 2 FT!

    Mannone / Krul
    Ivanovic / Clyne / Taylor / Wilson / Duff
    Silva / Fabregas / Sterling / Sigurdsson / King
    Falcao / Costa / Welbeck

My first transfer will be Silva to Di Maria, but then I would need to free up 0.7£.

I´m thinking about either downgrading Ivanovic or Falcao. Thoughts?

Just taken a 4 point hit to replace Naismith with Pelle and Sanchez with Sterling. I just need to tweak the defence now. Any recommendations?

Sup guys, hope we all had a good gw, ended up on 71, going from 250,000 to 50,000, so pretty happy!!
total fpl seems to be all over the place at the moment, so I’m trying to judge prices from the barclays site itself!!
when i take out ramsey and rooney, I’m left with 20.2 mil.. but there are too many options!!! silva? arm?falcao?aguero? favouring falcao and silva combo, thoughts??

I’m seeing huge scores next weekend, 52 average for the gameweek, top score 138. My predictions are always so horribly wrong but i like to get them in early.

Evening James! Team looking good mate! Just interested on your thoughts on Tadic? His stats are fantastic, but he doesn’t seem to deliver fpl points. My son has him in his team and I dont want to say sell due to his stats, but is he gonna be one of those that contributes throughout the game but not worth a dime with fpl!?

      • jamesimmo says:

Hey B-Bash, how you doing mate?

I’ve watched Tadic play, and as you say he is *performing* very well for an in-form side with top fixtures, so it’s a real shame he hasn’t delivered the points yet!

My thoughts: if he can’t do it at home to QPR then he can’t do it at all. This will be his last chance I think. Good luck to you (and your son) for the season by the way!

        • B-Bash says:

Cheers mate. Not had a bad week. Got 55 points after this weekend so not bad. Languishing around the 85k mark.
I’m with you, gonna see if he can deliver fpl points against QPR at home. Pelle seems the better option at the moment, but nothing worth a hit or even a transfer if you own Tadic.
At least AFC performed this weekend for you!
Good luck to you too fella for the season!

jamesimmo – As a United fan, i’m dreading next weekend!

      • jamesimmo says:

I’m not surprised! Just about to see the chaos on BBC1 now…

        How’s your team looking?

      • B-Bash says:

Evening Nin. Hope your ok mate. You’re probably as p#ssed off as I was last night! Bottom line is that neither LFC or MUFC look like they’ll be challenging this year. Both teams seem to go heavy on attack and forget defence………almost like FPL isn’t it! smile

        • NIN says:

Hi B-Bash. I’ve never been more pissed off at United than i am now. The mistakes of the last five years or so are coming back to haunt us. No Fergie to bail us out anymore so we’re f****d! I don’t think we have any hope of making even the Europa league. Downing (c) next weekend? 😉

It think Liverpool will be okay once Sturridge is back, but yeah, a challenge for the title is out of the question.
