Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

  1. How did Sanchez look this evening?

    • He looked sharp I’d say. I’d understand if the stats differ that my say, but he was one of the most involved players for utd imo. Just wish utd have someone to score the ball too

    • I thought he played terribly and did very little in the game. Did a bit more towards the end when more space added up but really was unimpressed by him tonight.

    • Lots of misplaced passes and frustration. He did find himself in very advanced positions, though, and saw a lot of the ball. He was mostly selfless (Lukaku should’ve scored from his late pass in the box) but didn’t look deadly by any means.

    • I wasn’t that impressed by him, as a Sanchez owner I’m already weighing up my options.

    • Not a great start Razi 🙁

      • But, his movements were swift. He sometimes had to cover up the whole flank and then pass the ball to no one, because there was no one. I’m going to stick with him foe one more game. Players like him are fixture proof. He may even get something off the Spurs game.

        • I think him and Rashford should’ve flipped positions, personally. Rashford didn’t do much of anything

    • He gave the ball away quite a bit. Rashford & Mata weren’t too sharp either which didn’t help. Plus, as long as Pogba is captain, he’s not letting anybody else take a pen…

  2. Missed most of the game. Anything we need to note? Presume Young comes in for Shaw in next game or so?

  3. Not happy with the final result but at least I have the first correct score prediction 🙂

  4. Delighted with Shaw but United performance doesn’t bode well.. disjointed and a distinct lack of control . Bailly played well though. De Gea world class as usual

    • Yeah, I saw some fans talk about United today. That was sort of an indication it will be a crap season.

      • As a united fan – I hope it gets better! Bailly and Fred looks ok. Lindelof looks abit off his pace still . Sanchez will get better if balls were fed to him. We need Matic back . Matic and Fred would be interesting . A lot more control freeing up the rest to do their thing aka Pogba to roam around

      • I think you’ll be surprised. I’m a United fan and tonight was okay. With the preferred starting 11 I think we’ll do well. We won’t win the league but not going to be a disaster like everyone wants.

    • DeGea is the Match winner for me. Two saves were just world class

      • Agreed. De Gea first save was out of this world . But the fact that he needed to make those saves time and time and time again….

    • World class De Gea would have catch that Ricardo ball before it hit the post.

  5. I’ve missed FPL and its emotions. Vardy’s header cost me 5 points — inevitably more when the BPS changes the standings — but I’m lucky to have been awarded any at all.

  6. What an end! You gotta love this game!!!
