Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Well done to you, I had Shaw and got talked out of it on Twitter and opted to upgrade to DDG. A pox on Vardy ! Well, on the bright side, at least I did not upgrade to Young

      • RedKev says:

Mate I’m 100% sure DDG will get you plenty more points than Shaw will so good move! I’m just glad Shaw has covered the -4 hit I’ll be using to get him out in a week or 2

As I had no players tonight then I will be joint bottom once the leagues are updated.

    Green arrows for me tomorrow.

Delighted that United conceded a goal late on.

Well done to those players with pogba and Shaw.

Pogba was never in any of my drafts with Shaw only fleetingly (never thought those two words would go in the same sentence).

Good luck to everyone in the coming season.

Same here Jamie. ZERO points and no regrets (for the time being!).

I had Shaw in for a bit but uncertainty about his nailed-ness led to me dropping him (when I brought in B Silva). Didn’t want too many long-term doubts.

I felt the same about Davies (oddly, no Spurs’ players got close to my drafts). I’ve no doubt at all Davies will do well today.

Main business for me is tomorrow really, though looking forward to the games today.

A bit late here of course but wanted to thank all writers and regular posters for all the spot on articles and well researched info that flew around here while preparing FPL. I read all articles from the 1st GABO to this LMC and a fair share of the comments. We go again and best luck to everyone. Cheers

I just checked in with FFL page and it left me seriously wondering……there is a conspiricy theory re cheating.

After one game, “Garrys Bell Ends” amassed 46 pts from three players. De Gea, Shaw and Pogba. But triple cpt Shaw! WTF! Who would do that; ever, not jjst GW1.

      Bry says:

@analyst There seem to be loads of people who make new teams every week with bizarre combinations just to hit the ‘jackpot’ of having the GW’s best team. If they want to do that, that’s up to them I guess, but it doesn’t half ruin it for the ‘proper’ FPLers. It’s why I don’t take any notice of the GW points average.

      • secretzorro says:

There’s a couple of Mini-leagues in the Gulf, where they make a new team every week, $10,000 (yes ten grand) into the kitty & winner takes all. When you see one of the Gulf States’ peeps top scores the gameweek, look at his minileague, I counted 74 members in one last season. Totally insane!

        • Kralin says:

We should run an austerity Britain equivalent, win 10p or a tin of lager, choice is yours.

        • Bry says:

Yikes, Zorro. Or should I say, “O-man”? 😉

Maybe I shouldn’t qa-tar every one with the same brush. No wonder there’s such a gulf in points. Sorry. Once I get going I raq up the puns quite quickly. I’ll shut up now. Will keep an eye out for their league, so let’s kuwait and see what happens n…

Great to start the morning with a good old laugh! 10k, would need a-lad-in-sane to enter such a league, while the righteous men are always broke, oh, why does it always Bah-Rain on me…

        • secretzorro says:

Bry & ZL, you really need to get out more fellas, LMAO
