Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Just fell short of the 100. Delighted with my start. Probably score 35 next week now

can i win my mini league just by copying the site team every week?

It depends on if the ‘site team’ is posted before the GW cut-off so you know who to pick/play/transfer.

The site team may be good, but it’s not going to be the best team there is, also I don’t see much point in just copying somebody else’s team, I have been playing for years and I take advice from people on this site now (I was on a previous site) and ask questions, I also help and advise others, even if I don’t have a certain players myself and the person asking for help and advice I will try and advise them on what would be best for their team, but at the end of the day it is up to them, I get advice from others and sometimes I go with it and other times I do not, sometimes the person was wrong and other times I got it wrong and should have acted on the advice.

What was your score this week, post your team and let people advise you.

to be honest I just copied the site team for gw1 as i have been working like crazy the last few weeks and not had a chance to sort one out. had a decent week with 83 points but i want to carry on on my own . That’s my team any advice?

        • Terminators says:

I would go Cairney > Neves as the latter is going up in price tonight, (I have done this myself earlier on as it’s too good to miss) other than that, that team looks fine.

My team is posted a couple of pages back.

I have Erikson and am worried about Mane as I can swap them, but you have three LIV players already so you cannot do that and the three you have should not be dropped.

There’s no fun in just copying the site team mate. There’s plenty of people on here who will help with you’re team .I’m only new but it’s a great site.

The Bilva start is grating on my mind, he played the full match, earned MotM honours, pep loves him…will Pep still play start him next week?

Or swap to Richarlison before his price rises so I can still squander 1 million from him

    • 274.1
      Terminators says:

Difficult to say, but Pep was all over B Silva in pre-season and said that the team was going to be ten plus B Silva, so I would say that he is safe for a couple of weeks at least, there is rotation in Man City but it has mostly been the attacking players, it could be this season that KDB and B Silva are the main MID playing just in front of Fernandinho or Gundogan, I was unsure about Man City getting Mahrez and where was he going to play, is he going to play well actually in a forward position.

what is the rest of your team, do you have any other Man City cover?

      • roccerfeller says:

That’s a brilliant analysis. City makes me nervous! Haha but those figures are tasty. And I’d rather have a city player than Everton but Richarlison might be starting off a hot streak

This is my team at the moment

      • roccerfeller says:

Quick add – it looked like Mahrez and KdB were both on set piece duties. I wonder if that’s going to mean rotation between them?

I’m also a bit worried about when Dilva comes back to squad what will happen to Bilva

I love Bilva personally. If I knew he’d be starting regularly I’d staple him to my squad season long

        • Terminators says:

Can D Silva play week in week out though?

I wouldn’t have thought Mahrez is going to play instead of KdB in the long or short term, what about Jesus, Sane, then Mahrez and Sterling and then there is Kun also D Silva played FWD when a few have been out injured/banned all of these cannot play in the FWD position, you also have Walker on the wing as well into the MID, Man City are the same as Liverpool MID and FWD they have a lot of players and cannot play them all the time, just have to accept that one week the MCY/LIV player you have isn’t going to play.

The only real nailed on players are Ederson, Walker, and KdB, I would add Kun there as well but he may not get the full 90mins and when there is a big Champs League game he won’t play in the Prem unless it’s against a top team, that is how I see it.

I think that B Silva will play every game though for the near future though if he can keep creating and putting in a solid performance, I am thinking of him as the ‘new Yaya Touré’ at MCY.

Very nice to see you here Rockerfeller. I hope you prevailed in your ML last season.

      • roccerfeller says:

        KRALIN! likewise my friend!

I was so happy I stayed with this community. I missed it, I missed all of you guys!

Guess what – starting the ML off in first place mate smile

        • Kralin says:

Yeah, lead from the front. The game’s much easier once you’ve battled to top spot. Let others take the risks.

Things may take a week or two to settle down, there’s always a fair bit of turbulence in the first few weeks.

Quite a few survivors from FFF have made it over here.

I ended up with 78 points. Tomkins (6 pts) was the 1st man off my bench, so Sane coming on for those last 3 minutes cost me 5 more.
