And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Our Regulars League* for 2018/19 is now open and has a cash prize pool of £300 paid directly to the winners from the FF247 management team. The first 5 places are paid out in a tiered system.

To enter this one you need to be an active and recognised site member and you need to e-mail us for the league code – elleffcee@gmail.com

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

  1. The fella topping my ML with 95 points left another 39 on the bench! I hope he doesn’t have every week like that

    • You’ll be beating him with the help from this site come GW38

      It’s a marathon not a sprint. I’ve had some great ranks with the help from the community on this site.

      • True. It’s only one week but it’s strange to think you can get 95 and be disappointed. I’m happy with my GE so we’ll roll on to the next

  2. terrible first week.
    Tempted to get rid of Kun for Bernardo Silva in order to free some cash. Watched the game and not impressed at all.

    • B.Silva could be risky tho.

    • It was only one week ago he scored two goals against Chelsea. Don’t rush to judge especially with the fixtures City have ahead.

    • yes, right. I’ll try to stay away from the “transfers” screen for a week or two more smile

  3. what are people’s thoughts on cairney to neves. jumping on the bandwagon or a shrewd move before his price goes up

    • Thinking about the same move myself but I’m not a big fan of these bandwagons.

      • is it because he is looking very good value or just cos he got 12 points. Fulham have better fixtures

        • I have Richarlison yellow flagged so don’t particularly want to make any transfers in case he’s out. I think I’ll wait and see how Neves performs next week again.

    • Before you make any moves look around at the rest of your squad first. Are there any other glaring issues that you might need to either bank the transfer for or need fixing before next GW?

  4. A nightmare of a start, only racked up 69pts. Surely can go only upwards from bottom now? Well done to everyone else, seeing some great scores here!!!

    • 69 is fine and well ahead of the average.

      • True Kralin, I guess I’ve just seen too many high scores. Onwards and upwards.

    1 more point from bench would’ve won me in Mini league but could’ve been worse.
