Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.

A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.

Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Sorry guys, joined late. Was it a Sanchez assist?

Shaw had better not be going for his half time Macdonalds again. Mourinho won’t like that

Judging by the timing of it I’d imagine it involved you recommending he take Pogba out. I have no proof of this of course. If you believe in fairies 😉

        • Kralin says:

I’m haunted by recommendations I’ve made that have backfired horribly for managers. I know everyone has responsibility for their own decisions, but still.

It seems absurd, but there was one once that bothered me for weeks after.

Kralin, you can’t leave it at that, who was it and who did you do it?!

I’m sort of joking, as you well know, but yeah. I’m sure any regular poster will have done it plenty of times… ‘don’t get X’, X then scores 2, etc.

        • Kralin says:

I made a strong recommendation that someone take Vardy out. Vardy scored a hat-trick and my genius replacement idea missed a penalty. It may have cost the manager his ML that season.

I still wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

It was up to him/her to actually do as you suggested, not your fault mate! Plus sometimes a seemingly bad choice does very well for one week… It’s all part of the game!

        • AT says:

I haven’t seen any Pogbas all month! I took Shaw out too so we’ll have none of this sh*te

        • DMC says:

Yeah totally. The final decision belongs to each manager. Sure it feels great to contribute with advise that leads to points but you can’t take credit for those either so can’t feel bad when the worse happens.
Anyway, hatters will hate (not saying that’s the case here as I don’t know what eresh was on about). I much prefer to come back and thank someone that tiped a player who excelled and would never do the opposite so don’t start beating yourself.

        • Pffft, I heard AT was taking out Shaw and that was sign to get him not sell him. 😉

    Evening all

Having finally got round to doing a few pre-season posts but this is my first match day post and it adds to the fun of watching the game. I know VERY early but Maddison looks a real handful and £5m def Periera is playing in midfield (is that due to Leics not playing a couple of players yet)? Interesting.

    Good luck all FF247ers

He is a winger by trade but got left winged back a few years ago when he went to Nice. His coach there was a certain Claude Puel!
He knows Ricardo very well and will play him at LB or LW according to what he needs. Surely got some unexpected (for late) points today but he will prove to be great value attacking wise. He’s very capable of scoring and has pace.

It’s moments like this that I realise I’m insane a serious fantasy addict, as I’ve been checking statistico to see who’s on the bonus points, even though I have no Leicester nor Man U players.

Actually (honest guv) I was just checking statistico was up and running.
