Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. And welcome back indeed, welcome to the start of yet another long season, welcome to another 38 weeks of joy, despair, trials, tribulations and challenges. We hope that you will once again enjoy joining us as we go through all the emotions together, share our thoughts and experiences, rejoice when our players score points, commiserate when they don’t, cry when they come off after 59 minutes and laugh when they concede in the last minute. Or something to that effect anyway.
GW1 sees us kick off with a Friday night game as the Champions of Europe host newly promoted Norwich at home. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Salah captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway.
Champions Man City then get the first Saturday of the season going as they visit West Ham in the early kick off at 12.30pm.
In perhaps a sign of things to come our 3pm games are not only few but are also littered with the already seemingly cast aside ‘less interesting’ teams. Apologies to Bournemouth & Sheffield United, Burnley & Southampton, Palace & Everton and Watford & Brighton but that’s how it seems.
Champions League runners up Spurs host newly promoted Villa at home in the late KO at 5.30pm. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Kane captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway….
Leicester and Wolves begin (share) our first Sunday with an intriguing encounter at 2pm, while Newcastle fans will be protesting against Arsenal at the same time. Well ok, not protesting Arsenal, protesting Ashley, but you know what we mean…
A clash of the old titans sees GW1 out as Chelsea visit Old Trafford at 4pm.
The games in full…

Finished with 99 points. If only Barkley stood on the pitch for 4 minutes longer. :big-lol:
Ive 96 – I think I’m ok with it
Keep Barkley or sell? But I have dot 6m i.e. nothing in bank.
Just keep him for another week, see how things go. Chelseas’s fixtures are ok in GWs 3 and 4.
Hmm. Not yet seeing an article for the next gameweek. Init getting lazy? :hippo:
Stupid comments can be deleted.
104 here. Lucked out massively with every defensive player returning and picking the big 3 – hope there’s still some luck left for me for the rest of the season!
Same here. Just Barkley, Perez and Moise Kean failed me.
For those without Sterling and with Bernardo Silva, Josh King and Barkley, is it time to play wildcard to take advantage of the price changes?
In a word, no! On the basis of Saturday I would make getting Sterling a priority, but I wouldn’t WC just to get him.
Hi Kop, for me to get Sterling I have to do atleast 3 transfers
I’d try to sit tight until GW3 when you can make 3 transfers for a -4

No. You’ll regret it. Just sit tight during the Spurs’ game and have faith in the side you no doubt were tinkering with for weeks.
90 points for the opening week. Kind of disappointed when you see the huge scores out there 😆
82 all out for me. Not bad considering Robertson, KWP, Zouma, Doucoure and Jota gave a combined 5 points from 5 players. Luckily I had the big 3 and a surprise haul from Ryan.
