Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. And welcome back indeed, welcome to the start of yet another long season, welcome to another 38 weeks of joy, despair, trials, tribulations and challenges. We hope that you will once again enjoy joining us as we go through all the emotions together, share our thoughts and experiences, rejoice when our players score points, commiserate when they don’t, cry when they come off after 59 minutes and laugh when they concede in the last minute. Or something to that effect anyway.

GW1 sees us kick off with a Friday night game as the Champions of Europe host newly promoted Norwich at home. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Salah captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway.

Champions Man City then get the first Saturday of the season going as they visit West Ham in the early kick off at 12.30pm.

In perhaps a sign of things to come our 3pm games are not only few but are also littered with the already seemingly cast aside ‘less interesting’ teams. Apologies to Bournemouth & Sheffield United, Burnley & Southampton, Palace & Everton and Watford & Brighton but that’s how it seems.

Champions League runners up Spurs host newly promoted Villa at home in the late KO at 5.30pm. Doesn’t quite seem fair that does it, somehow? It’ll probably see plenty of Kane captainers get their first taste of the armband for the season anyway….

Leicester and Wolves begin (share) our first Sunday with an intriguing encounter at 2pm, while Newcastle fans will be protesting against Arsenal at the same time. Well ok, not protesting Arsenal, protesting Ashley, but you know what we mean…

A clash of the old titans sees GW1 out as Chelsea visit Old Trafford at 4pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!

Thank you very much for all your advices! I’ve finished with 99 and this is my best start ever smile
I would like to ask an advice on what to do with Kane vs Zinchenko and Jota vs Maguire next week. There is an option to come with Lundstram and/or Hayden instead of Zinchenko and may be Jota, but this is a huge dilemma. :dash: Thanks!

      Gavy says:

Kane vs Zinchenko I start both. Is spurs score kane is likely to be involved, I’d keep zin the for an assist. I have the same but have walker. Jota didn’t look 100% and Manu looked good at the back. Maybe bench jota

      Kralin says:

I would play Zinchenko and Jota ahead of Lundstram. Wolves will fancy their chances I’m sure and benching a City asset may not be the wisest move.

Decent start to the season… having a wobble about swapping Ryan to Adrian to utilise the Liverpool defence for next 6-8 weeks. Any thoughts on this or otherwise?

    Cheers
