Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.
We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.
We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.
The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!

Anyone thinking Vinagre to Reece James?
I might after his performance today

banjomaker
Or Lampety…
Neilos
Hey Banjo that’s not a bad shout. Are you gonna do the move you mentioned yesterday? I’m thinking I need to sort my defence out now.
banjomaker
Probably, although not overly comfortable with ditching Auba & Jimenez. Havertz is on the chopping board now, but can’t see a way of getting United and KdB without the original plan.
Neilos
Jiminez has a good run of fixtures coming too….
I need to address Vinagre tonight. I’ll have 5 million to spend.
I like James and also thinking someone random like Coleman as they have good fixtures.
GoalMachine
Next match is Pool…..probably after that.
Macca-
My thinking exactly!
bobbyD
Glad to have brought in reece james at the last minute, the guy’s a baller

Are people looking at Fernandes and KDB and keeping someone like Salah or Auba? How are you accommodating 3 big hitters in midfield as I’m struggling!
Horse
It is a struggle igy4. Apart from Bruno at 10.5m the midfield big hitters are very expensive. I only have one big hitter in midfield and the rest of the money spread around the squad. I am going to give PEA the armband again and save a transfer and see what happens this weekend.
Gavy
I have taken in Bruno and made him cap. Might gw3, once we have a bit of form. If William looks good again not a bad price for an arsenal attacker. Was very unlucky not to score
Gavy
I’ll be going Bruno and Mahrez or foden. Its hard to have all 3 with out been fair bare elsewhere.
Or maybe kdb and mart up top
ODT
I managed with a cheap non playing forward and a cheap defense. Granted that played out well this first week, but I will be watching moving forward. My original plan was Auba>Kdb and Son>Fernandes after GW1. I wasn’t decided on the order but Son’s lack of performance and Auba’s next match against WHU made the first one easy.
igy4
My initial plan was Auba to Fernandes but if I keep Salah then that leaves me nowhere to go with getting KDB. I would have funds to do my cheap mid to Foden though for City coverage. Do people think he will get more game time this season?
Horse
I can’t see how we can spend 34m on three players at this stage in the season. I think we are better off just having 2 big hitters for the captaincy and spreading the funds throughout the squad.

Werner has a dead leg. How long will he be out ?
Thanks
Eagle
Hi bees this is what I found on Twitter:

Then Werner said this:
Loud Atlas
If it’s a minor dead leg he should be ok for next week.
AK47
Who should I go with out of De Bruyne or Fernandes? Auba will probably make way.
£0.5 ITB
AllanBrallan
Auba out ahead of West ham? That’s veeeeeery risky bussiness…
