Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.
We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.
We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.
The games in full…

Zaha with the only goal in a 1-0 and not on for any BPs. Still don’t understand the system. Happy with the goal anyway.
not gona lie, i preferred the 3 judges that used to score it; was a lit more predictable
It’s a clear system, you get bps for certain things, you also lose bps for certain things, such as being offside… Zaha was offside a lot, it’s perfectly understandable that he doesn’t get bonus points, just go read the rules regarding bps! :good:
So, to say it more clearly, if you score a goal with one kick but then have a bad game during the rest of the 89mins of the game, it’s rather clear you ain’t gonna get baps especially when there’s a cleanie for loads of defenders, Guaita got 5 saves and those are rather important in BPS as well
This!
4-3 is quite a good start for a promoted team against the defending champions.
ODT, indeed. And that happened at Anfield. It will be worth looking at some cheap Leeds players for the upcoming WC.
Fantastic match.
I’m so pumped now for the West Ham/Newcastle 0-0.
:big-lol:
Oh ye of little faith. *Funny optimistic face*. Sorry i don’t know how to do these any more GP
Your boys have signed really well Milburn.
I’ve got Wilson as well so it better not be 0-0 actually!
Prime time TV !!
I could live with a Newcastle CS.
Congrats to the Salah captainers! I’d imagine a lot will hold off on that Fernandes transfer now?
Think i have to.Alternative is to do Werner to Martial depending how he looks Mon night. If he looks good then i might have to go United less for now.
Original wildcard team. Still gotta get KDB in somehow…
Huh whats your gw1 team look like ?
Pancho I’d prolly get Leno for Ryan and a 4.5er like Webster for Gabriel.
That is considering you can maintain the same Brighton Arsenal back duo. For the same funds.
I am sure you are not considering Gabriel for more goals.
If Arsenal CS is what you’re leaning towards, may be get in Leno. Gives you good amount of save points as well.
And Webster is just for the Brighton cover
You might need to use Kane’s funds for that move; tricky to have Salah, Bruno, KDB and Kane and still have a functioning team around them.
Are u actually playing ya WC pancho?
