Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.

We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.

We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…

The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.

This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.

Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.

On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.

Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.

It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. What happened to Mitrović????

    • He came on for the last 27 minutes as he played two full games for Serbia recently. Probably a bit tired. He’ll be fine for next week, though surely.

  2. Wilson. :big_boss:

  3. My league rival triple captained Salah. 😯

    • I actually thought about TC’ing Auba (who I had as cappo) or Salah if I had switched cappo to him.

    • That’s better than me TCing Mane in a DGW last season in which he played 17 minutes smile

  4. I didn’t do too bad this afternoon. I scored 40 points and have 6 players to go.

Of course 34 of those points came from Salah, but who’s counting? :big_boss:

  5. Remember it’s week one. No need to panic yet on players that blanked. We picked them for a reason. Unless they looked awful take a step back and reassess.

    • Always the voice of reason Smash

  6. Been late to the party this year, and took me a bit to work out who or what ASM was…..sounded more like a basement activity…….but ended up with him in my team…and he looks to me like a Traore a season or so back….not a hard comparison I admit…. but I aint sure I see any end product?

    • Hence why he’s 5.5

      • Absolutely agree. But he just looks like a horse let loose in a paddock!

        • …with all that same nuisance and unpredictability….will give him a run but already see some value in Leeds assets at that price?
