Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.

We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.

We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…

The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.

This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.

Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.

On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.

Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.

It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!

It was a real terrible first day for me, captained mane and it did not workout. Who is sharing the same problem as me?

Decided to do something different this season and use the TC chip on GW¹.
Was switching till last sec between Auba and Salah, & guess whom I picked sad
Anyway, 21 points from Auba are better than those 3 from Mani last season.

Hey guys. No Salah hurt a lot. 40 points difference in GW1 itself. Anyways, How was Mane? Couldn’t watch the game. Do we need to worry on form, etc.?

Obviously Salah is not going to get penalty in every game. And I believe Leeds’ def was a bit reckless?

I don’t own Salah myself as well.
Salah looked like he would score 5 6 or even more yesterday.
Mane was Okayish. But very very much below par when compared with Salah

The goal from Salah that wasnt a penalty was really nice. But as a whole liverpool didnt look very good at all. They wont stand a chance if they play like that next week, but i really doubt that they’ll play like that next week.

Arnold didn’t look too sharp, but I’m keeping him. First game of the season is always somewhat misleading…

good morning..there is a reason why LFC are the defending champions..just need to sort their issues @ the back which i think they will..they will be hard to beat again this year..watch this space :biggun:

Mane looked ok to me. It was just Salah’s day though the stats before all heavily favoured Salah. Salah did look sharper to me watching the game. The Liverpool defence looked out of sorts. Robbo looked better than TAA but he’s not had much training so will take a few weeks to get up to speed. On the whole Liverpool looked ok to me for a first game back as I’m sure they won’t be that bad at the back for long

Mane looked ok, could have scored and assisted on an other day. True call with the peno part, but salahs open play goal was class too!

Fair to early to make these calls on premium players. Bradford was the stand out for me. At 5.5m can see him score 10+ goals.

Glad to have capped salah but TAA, mitro and saint maximin all flopped, GW2 wildcard very likely

Hoping Kane can get some goals today
