We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European

Martial no longer be a mid will probably cost him a lot of points? Is it clear who will take the penalties? I still think Bruno is by far the most interesting United option.
Ps. Sad Ziyech is injured, dude has a lot of creativity in him and probably would have assisted a few Werner goals.
Gonna do Son to Bruno for next gameweek and the gameweek after probably Aub towards KdB or Sterling.
He loses points as a mid but in theory should pick up some more points in bonus. Martial did struggle with bonus as a mid I think because he’s less involved. Bruno is the best asset for me but he is 1.5 million more
Yeah going for Bruno. Have Werner as most expensive striker. Wilson and Mitro to lesser options but they could do their work.
Martial was on fire in the home games after the restart. However the home fuxtutrs are actually not great after Palace, leaning more towards Bruno now.
I think I’m going to stick with the plan of Havertz and Martial over Bruno and a 7 million striker. If I need Bruno as well it will have to be at the expense of one of the big hitters
Took a 1 week punt on Son but I fear Havertz might do better. Maybe should’ve went with him instead.
Yep depends if Havertz or Werner is the best Chelsea cover. Havertz and Martial with an extra 2.5m to spend could be great.
I think Bruno stands out. Penalties and seems to be an assist magnet.
Still not convinced by Martial. WOnder why they didn’t get a proper striker. Chelsea are the ones to look out for this sesaon, in my opinion. If they can get the team up and running.
Well, I went with Bruno. We shall see how it pans out.
Post lockdown Martial weren’t far off Bruno in terms of points. I think they are both great options though
Yep we should keep in mind that Martial played half a season without Bruno, which impacted his numbers. His output increased once Bruno was there.
